Above is an official list of all Peace Keepers in Terrenus. Most established members understand what a Peace Keeper is, but it seems like a lot of the newer members might have some confusion. The purpose of this post is to educate everyone about their purpose. Before I do that, though, I want to make note of some rules that are important in Terrenus. Violation of these rules can result in intervention from a Peace Keeper, both in character and as a DM.
1. Teleportation is not allowed in Terrenus. For all intents and purposes, it isn't even possible. Under special circumstances, and depending on the mechanism, it may be achieved. General and whimsical teleportation will just not be allowed, period.
2. The forum operates under Mild Powers rules.
3. No autoing of cities or whatever without prior permission.
4. No entering closed threads without permission.
5. No metagaming.
Now that we've established the general rules, I'm going to explain what the purpose of Peace Keepers is. They can be considered the general enforcers of both Valucre's rules (in Terrenus) and defenders of the IC world. For example, a Peace Keeper will intervene if you start attacking a city because he's defending Terrenus' citizens. At the same time, a Peace Keeper will intervene if you're teleporting all over the place, just because you're breaking the rules. With this in mind, the decisions of Peace Keepers in regard to their interpretation of the rules will always be considered backed by the administration unless specifically ruled otherwise. If you have a problem with the action of a Peace Keeper, then you have to bring it up to either myself (James), desolate (Damon), or Supernal (Carlos.)
Contacting Administration
Note that while Peace Keepers are incredibly powerful IC, they can still be defeated by established or particularly powerful characters (or groups of.) They are by no means infallible, and any abuse of their powers in a way that does not enforce the rules will be ruled against by the administration.
To recap, here are some powers that Peace Keepers have:
1. Interpretation of mild powers (within reason.)
2. Rejection of autos against NPCs or cities (within reason.)
3. Rejection of metagaming.
4. General low-level game master abilities, stemming from the above. That is, they are able tell you what you can and can't do in character to a reasonable degree.
