Goblins: They are of human shape, of varying sizes but almost always smaller than a fully matured man. Goblins are ugly, filthy, and have a keen taste for human flesh. They are fanged, bow-legged and long-armed, and some have dark skin as if horribly burned. However, these creatures are naturally brilliant engineers and craftsmen, skilled blade masters, and more vicious and ruthless than any mortal man. Often found in mind-boggling numbers, these creatures serve as Alexander’s front line. They have a strong dislike for orcs, and they can often be found battling with their distant cousins.
Orcs: The perfected form of the Goblin, the orc is a powerful asset. They are stronger and faster than your average man by far, and lack all morals. They do not know pain, they do not know fear—their resolve is unwavering, unrelenting, like the mountains of the world. Surprisingly cunning and quick on their feet, orcs are vicious and utterly brutal in combat, showing no remorse for any of their foes whatsoever. They have a strong taste for the flesh of man, but are not above eating their lesser cousins, the goblins. Constantly they struggle with the urge to utterly slaughter the green maggots, but their master’s will keeps them at bay. They are loyal solely to Alexander, answering to none other unless commanded to otherwise.
Trolls: A distant relative of the goblin and orc, trolls are several times larger than a man, but still shorter than a giant. Juggernauts of flesh and rage, these beasts are easily capable of crushing even the bravest of heroes. There are two types of trolls in the king’s army:
- Mountain Troll: The larger of the two trolls, the mountain trolls are superior to their brothers and sisters in terms of strength and wit. While not the most brilliant of strategists, they can easily outmaneuver lesser sword wielders despite their size, and compensate for their size with limited wasted movements. Still, the often fall prey to their own blood lust. This form of troll is often used for moving incredibly large and heavy equipment.
- Cave Troll: While smaller than their larger brothers, and often hunchback, the cave troll is still quite the formidable foe. They often wield large maces or clubs, using their overwhelming strength to crush their many opponents. On the occasion that mountain trolls are scarce, these large beasts will be used to maneuver the large equipment.
Giants: Nearly four times the size of a mountain troll, and seemingly infinitely stronger, these savages lack all forms of rationality and reason. They find themselves bound to Alexander’s iron will, succumbing to the mindless servitude his other slaves share. Easily standing close to thirty feet tall, these behemoths pack more than their share of a punch. Unfortunately, they are a rare find, and only a few can be found lurking within the depths of Alexander’s army.

Skeleton Warrior: In terms of strength, these tend to be the weakest of the entire legion. For the most part, these are nothing more than resurrected men and women—often skeletal and rotting in appearance—to take up arms against their king’s enemies. The foot soldiers of Alexander’s operations, the undead seek to crush their opponents with numbers opposed to individual strength. And while most of these creatures are referred to as “mindless servants,” beings of significant merit have been granted minor control of their own being, even in undeath. These are usually captains of small forces, used for guerilla-based warfare.
Bone Golems: Considerably large, deadly constructions made entirely from bone and given life from the ectoplasm of Arnim Tor. They have long, piercing fangs with scythe-like talons that can cleave through the heaviest and most durable of armor. The ectoplasm that coats every inch of their being allows them to pierce arcane barriers, as well.
Abomination: The result of a resurrection using mounds of mingled corpses, abominations tend to be large, ogre-like creatures lacking any form of wit. They are disgusting; disease ridden beasts that wield large weapons and can crush several men with a single, powerful blow.
Death Wyrms : Death Wyrms, also known as deathwyrms, are the skeletal remains of the powerful dragons killed in the taking of the Black Range, and the remains of other types of dragons from Terrenus converted into undead minions. They form was is known as the Deathbrood, which consists of:
- Hatchlings: Deathbrood hatchlings are the smallest and weakest of the skeletal dragons, often serving only as messengers between separated groupings. Still, they possess a potent icy breath-weapon capable of dealing significant damage if exposed to for considerable amounts of time.
- Drakes (Stalkers): Fully matured in life, these large beasts serve as both mounts and powerful offensive and defensive tools in Alexander’s army. Their breath weapons are far more destructive than the hatchlings of the brood, capable of expelling freezing blasts so extreme that it can pull the moisture from the air surrounding their victim and freeze it solid.
- Wyrms (Vanquishers): The mighty beasts themselves, these are the oldest and most powerful of all the reanimated dragons. They are easily three of four times larger than Deathbrood Stalkers, and with no recollection of their previous lives or understanding of their dragon heritage, they exist solely to server their dark master. They are wickedly intelligent, quite capable of strategy, tactics, and deception.
Unlike the others of their kind, the Vanquishers are quite capable of harnessing the arcane for devastating magical spells alongside their cataclysmic breath weapons. Their physical strength is peerless, and despite their size, can achieve tremendous speed in the air.
Banshee: The newest addition to the army, the banshees are the enslaved souls of the Forbidding Hill’s drow population. Slaughtered by Alexander and his army, most of—if not all—of the fallen elves were resurrected as phantoms or shades. Figureless, they often present themselves as misty spiritual silhouettes. What they lack in strength they make up for in dark magic, which has been greatly empowered in their dark king. Due to lacking a solid figure, banshees are immune to all forms of physical damage. They are kept just aware enough so that they can still experience the pain, anguish and desperation of their new existence; this simply fills them with desire to spread their torment among the living.
- Lich: These are the most feared of the banshee casters; a lich is a potent undead sorcerer wielding tremendous magical power. In life, these were the strong mages, warlocks and shadow priests of the drow population. Now, in undeath, they viciously serve their dark lord with evil intent and great necromancer power. Alongside "summoners," they are charged with mass-resurrections of undead soldiers.
Wraith: Coming soon.
