    The Three Brothers Religion

    Introduction:

The Three Brothers is the second most common religion in Mezthaluen, though it pales in comparison to the support for the Creators religion. The Faith of the Three Brothers is an old one that dates back to the native inhabitants of the Midlands region, before the area rose to great prominence as the sister cities. The few untouched hamlets and villages within the Midlands continue to practice in the faith, making the two most common sites for Three Brothers followers within the Midlands themselves, and the Southern District of Mezthaluen, where many displaced natives have ended up. Despite its status as a minority religion, the faith of The Three Brothers is generally well tolerated by those of opposing religions. Of course, within every group are those naturally inclined to hate. Over the course of their current church leader's tenure, support of the church has reached out further, acquiring more members and gaining some influence in state matters as well, as there has begun to be a growing base not only within Mezthaluen, but Union City as well.

The Land of Culture: Port Town

Regent: Alekona Monal, mayor and leader of a council of five.

Natives of Port Town are a mix of tribal and Northern culture, forever at odds in blending the two together. They picked up worship of the elemental gods when they came into contact with other cultures centuries ago, and have thus sought balance in all regards ever since. Rather than remaining closed to the world after the occupation of their lands, they are open to the allies of their past (peoples of the South and East) as well as foreign influences that may prove to be powerful protectors in the future. They have, through extensive negotiations, become a neutral people to the rest of the North, holding more practical use to its entities rather than any manner of respect.

The resulting atmosphere is one still close to nature, holding only modest technologies. Though large in population, the town is spread out significantly, having the air of a seasonal vacation spot rather than a city. All manner of goods and cultures pass through its ports, creating a general air of acceptance and business at the docks. The people as a whole are friendly to all, believing in forgiveness rather than pride.

Many tribal celebrations are held out of respect for tradition and culture rather than fervent belief. Rather than even worshipping true gods, they celebrate values and lessons carried through their past. They celebrate the nature of the elements themselves and honor the earth.
