  1. Annie's eyes rested upon the connoisseur who stood above her, embarrassed. From the eyes upon herself and the slow chuckles, she already felt a twinge of fear, but this man had really left her quite scared. But as his voice rung through her head for a little longer, she started to warm up to him - although still put off by his remark of her fall. Taking Nathan in her hands, she raised on her knees, and awkwardly looked him in the eyes, holding her friend to her chest. "I... No, I haven't. Nothing of the sort." She blinked through her foggy glasses, curious now. "Art museum, huh..?"
  2. {This is my first attempt at a starter, so I don't know how well I did. I just came up with something that I thought suited Annie for her first day in Tia.} It was the middle of a blazing hot day in Tia, and there was a new girl in town. Annie had come from Weland. She'd spent eleven years in an orphanage there, with no clue who she was or where she came from. All she had was a diary, a quill made from a Phoenix feather, and a necklace that wound up a music box somewhere. She knew it existed; she'd heard its music. Even now she was gently humming the tune it played to herself as she sketched her pencil across her paper. Even in the orphanage, Annie spent all of her time writing and drawing. It distracted her from the harsh conditions of the orphanage, and it made her happy. Now that she was eighteen, Miss Paige of the orphanage had sent her out to Tia to go get a life. She hadn't got one yet. To be completely honest, she was living off of the funds that the local tailor made and sent to her via mail. She'd actually been out of the orphanage for a few days, but had preferred to travel around before she even got a house. She got a pet; a best friend, and she got an home for them to live in, but she couldn't make her own money as she didn't know WHAT to do with her life. So she just savoured what the tailor made every week. Annie slammed her face into her desk and groaned loudly enough for both her neighbours to hear. It was her first actual day in Tia, and she'd already run out of all her art equipment. She managed to break her pencil sharpener, and now all her pencils were blunt and useless. She didn't have any paint left, and was in the middle of a pencil drawing. Her felt-tips and markers had all run out of ink. All she had left was her Phoenix quill - but she'd run out of ink. It wasn't like she could draw a picture out of an eraser. Nathan chuckled at her from under his hood, and she shot him an unmatched death glare. Nathan was a bat - a small one, that had very dark fur, and bright red slitted eyes. Well, he wasn't a bat, but rather a Hydrophobic Vampire. She'd taken him in as her own after she found him, after she discovered that he had no family and nowhere to go. He wore this adorable little red cape, that stretched over his head in a hood, and as well as hanging down in a cape, attached to his talons to protect his wings. The tailor, Crossbone, as she called them, had made it specially for him. He loved it, and so did Annie. Annie grabbed her satchel and pushed her things inside, before throwing it over her arm. She stroked Nathan gently. "Nathan, we have to go," she said, and he stretched his arms, yawning, his back to the light, and he flew over to rest on top of her head. She smiled, and she left with him. Annie shyly stepped into one of the shops. She'd been arguing with Nathan the whole way there, about petty little things that friends always argued about. "Will they even have art equipment?" she asked, pulling down her skirt and brushing her hair behind her ears. "What does it look like?" Nathan asked, leaning over into her face slightly. "I can't exactly see," she replied. "Not with you in my face!" Nathan pulled himself back up and buried his face back in her hair, but not for long. Annie was still a little dazed from Nathan being in her face, and in about a second from him actually getting out of it, she managed to trip over a loose floorboard. She squealed as she fell over, and slammed face-first into the floor, dropping her satchel and everything in it. Nathan bumped his head on the floor, as having not reacted quite quickly enough, and he was a little bit dizzy. For Annie, falling over had attracted quite a lot of attention. She pulled her head up slightly, light-headed as she held her head. Her stuff was still sprawled across the floor, all her useless art equipment, her diary and the Phoenix feather quill, as well as her books and whatever else nerds kept in their bags. She'd lost her glasses, which were in front of her somewhere, so she couldn't see very well. {I guess somebody can help her up or something, or just give her a little attention? I'm not quite sure.}
  3. {This is just the two I have so far. I believe this is where I post this. :)} BASIC INFO:Full Name: Anastasia Paige. Alias: Annie.Age: Eighteen.Birthday: 26th of February.Zodiac Sign: Pisces.Appearance: Annie has asian skin, with long, purple hair that hombers to light blue. She has two fringes that split in a curtain-like pattern, and are both messy and about as long as down to her ears. The rest of her long, curly hair is pulled back in a messy bun, with a lot hanging out. It may as well be a ponytail. Her bobble is red. She has yellow eyes behind big, square glasses, and she is a fairly curvy woman, with B-cups and n i c e legs. She wears a necklace around her neck that claims "Forever". It winds up a music box somewhere.Race: Asian.Ethnicity: Although her true birthplace isn't exactly known, she grew up from as much memory as she had from Weland.Height: 5'9.Choice of clothing: She wears a black pinafore, with a frilly skirt and a collar shirt underneath that always has the top two buttons undone. She has thigh-high stockings with suspenders connected to somewhere under her skirt. She wears black boots.Species: Human.ADVANCED INFO:Personality: Annie is a motherly type, very curious, and compassionate. She cares about everyone, and rarely develops hatred for anybody over a general dislike or fear of them, and that's only if they wrong her or her friends. She's willing to take a risk, and has devoted her life to try and find the man who gave her the necklace she wears. She's a bit of an Undere, always agreeing with everyone and rarely standing up for herself.Stereotype: Nerd, bookworm.Hobbies: She spends the majority of her time writing. She loves writing - writing stories, writing in her diary... She even loved school in the orphanage because it gave her an excuse to write! She also loves drawing, and does a lot of research into psychology and other sciences. As of now, she is studying fire magic.Mental disorders/illnesses: Suffers from Asperger's Syndrome, the highest point of the autistic spectrum, and has retrograde amnesia.History: Annie can't remember her past. However, she does have some memories. Constantly, a tune of music rings in her head, a pattern that keeps repeating itself. She knows the tune is from a music box, and she knows she has the key to wind it up, and her life goal is to find that music box and wind it up one more time. That's all she knows prior to whatever happened - she can't remember what did. She was found wandering around as a child, and was taken into an orphanage. She had a few friends from that orphanage - for example, a pair of best friends; a dhampir boy and a human hermaphrodite; who live where she is now. The hermaphrodite is a local tailor, and they promised Annie that half the money they got from their business, they would pass onto her to keep her going until she settled in. Her life has been rather bland so far - but, she knows somebody who may know something about the music box. On her journeys, she came across a young Hydrophobic Vampire; a Noble, of whom had lost his family. The moment she set her eyes on him, she got those burning memories of that man taking the music box out of her hands, unaware of her having the necklace, and giving her a phoenix-feather quill in return for it back. So she took him in, and raised him as a pet.PERSONAL INFO:Place of Royalty: She's a commoner of her own memory.Parents: Who knows? She doesn't even think the man in her memory was related to her, and so-forth she has no idea.Siblings: None that she knows of.Other relatives: None that she knows of.Relationship status: Single.Crush: Let's face it, she TOTALLY has a crush on Nathan, she just won't admit it!Partner: Nobody, unfortunately.Sexuality: Pansexual.Sub-sexuality: Sapiosexual.Romance: Panromantic.~The woman in a relationship.Sexual misfortunes: She often shies away from the idea of sexual intercourse and even relationships in general for fear that she'll be taunted for being transgender. She knows he'll never fall for her.HEALTH-BASED INFO:Strength: Average.Powers and Abilities: Studying fire magic.Danger level: Low. He shows little emotion and his ears are pierced - stretched.Race: ...Blue?Ethnicity: He comes from the Shawnee glacier tribes. Height: 5'5, but we don't talk about his height.Choice of clothing: Nathan wears a regular collar shirt with normal gray trousers that have lighter gray streaks along the sides. He has black leather gloves and knee-high high-heeled peach boots, and wears a red cape around his neck.Species: Hydrophobic Vampire.ADVANCED INFO:Personality: Nathan shows little emotion.   4. {This is where I was told to post this. I don't know if I did it correctly.} Type » Aberration: Fey (Undead). Temperament » Generally neutral. Can depend on the Vampire. Size » Usually around five or six feet at full maturity. Weight » Depends on the Vampire (Some of them eat a LOT). Usually quite lightweight. Location » Can be found as a rare species wherever other large amounts of Vampires are. Environment » Dark (typically candle-lit) environments. Organization » Often work on their own, in pairs or in small packs. Special Abilities » Blood-draining, telekinesis, shape-shifting, and infection. Hydrophobic Vampires are the result of a necromantic experiment on regular Vampires. Hydrophobic Vampires get their name from their unnatural response to water. For some unnamed reason, water damages them in a way almost like sunlight does, however it is water very specifically. Consistent liquids such as blood, milk or other things untouched by actual water doesn't have the same effect. People aren't quite sure why it's water very specifically that hurts them, but some argue that it's the effect of black magic affecting their strengths. Because of this, their anatomy is reworked into all the water in a normal Vampire's body being replaced with blood (this includes tears, and dyes their urine to a sort of thick, purple liquid). Considering they have so much blood in their body anyway, they aren't harmed by losing the blood through crying, and need to urinate like any normal human - although crying for too long or doing something else that pushes what would be water out of their body could make them quite light-headed, and they could eventually pass out because of it, although very rare. It makes them a little stronger as they pass out less often. Water isn't their only allergy. For some reason or another, they're also deadly allergic to sunlight. If they're exposed to sunlight for too long, they can ash up and disintegrate. For example, if a strong beam of sunlight were to strike a Hydrophobic Vamp (or any Vampire at that) in the eye, it would permanently blind them. Prolonged exposure to sunlight will result in their hair falling out before they started to shed. They would scar and bleed before they disintegrated completely. These Vampires can also be paralysed by regular fire depending on the amount of exposure. Sure, they can curl up by the fireplace and bask in the heat, but when large bonfires are close to a Hydrophobic Vampire's skin, it could paralyse them. Most Hydrophobic Vampires have achromatopsia. Active Hydrophobics tend to apply contact lenses, whereas those who were less outgoing and more solitary (usually mature Vamps who don't need to feed quite as much) wear normal glasses. Hydrophobic Vampires are allergic to garlic and silver. Mixing silver, garlic and water can kill a Hydrophobic Vamp in a single sip. Sometimes, salt can be dangerous, which is why saltwater is more dangerous than regular water. They mature considerably fast compared to most other Vampires. They age like normal humans, and then have "immortality stages" that they randomly hit. It usually occurs during young adulthood, but can range from as young as pre-teenage years to in their middle-ages. Hydrophobics are infamous for developing obsessions to feeding, whether or not they need to or not. Hydrophobic Vampires have telekinetic abilities worked into their being. Often times, they have abilities based around psychokinesis. It depends on the Vampire the level of power they can use it at. However, they could instead have abilities based around hypnotisation or illusion. They can play with the minds of some around them, often using this ability to tease their victims, luring them somewhere that the Vampire could easily strike them. As seen in many tales and legends, Hydrophobic Vampires can shapeshift and take the form of a bat. You can easily tell the difference between a Hydrophobic Vampire and a regular bat, as Hydrophobics would have darker fur and bright eyes with slits instead of irises. Hydrophobics are easy to spot, as they have baby blue skin and slitted eyes. Instead of sweating, they release a white, thin liquid substance that makes their skin look white, when it's actually light blue. Most Hydrophobics have eyes that are bright red, crimson or brown, however, there could be instances of other colours, but that would just be a genetic mutation. The vast majority of them have black hair, but are not restricted, and this is not a mutation. Their ears tend to be high and pointed. They have hypersensitive hearing, as well as inhumanly fast speed. Hydrophobics, just like any Vampires, do not show up in mirrors but do show up on film. Hydrophobic Vampires can reproduce naturally through sexual reproduction, although some of them prefer or just enjoy infecting humans through biting them. They cannot reproduce with a human for the sake of a human's sweat damaging their bodies, and would probably damage their reproductive systems too much to bear children anyway. {I think I've listed everything. I don't have a high-quality photo at the moment, but I think you get the gist. They're not restricted to looks other than having baby-blue skin anyway.}
  5. Okay, thank you! If I have any more questions, I'll come to you. :) Actually, I have another question - how do I do the layout to write up the Hydrophobic Vampires? @supernal
  6. Alright, maybe Weland is where the orphanage is then? I'm just assuming.
  7. Should I just not name where exactly she comes from? It could add another element of mystery to our already quite mysterious character, especially considering nobody knows where she does come from anyway - that's part of her character. So should I just say that he's from the Shawnee glacier tribes then?
  8. @supernal Also, what ethnicities are there? Where would she be from that had an orphanage, and where could the other come from? I'm looking for cultures similar to that of Japanese, and Russian/Romanian.
  9. Alright! So, I'm going to release the two characters (in the same post) in the profile database and list the Hydrophobic Vampires in user lore. Is that okay? Heyheyhey! High-five! X3
  10. Well, I mean a man whose family was of higher status than most people, having power in the land and being quite rich. It was in his lore that he'd lost his power and family. Well, I'm just kind of uncreative with names, as in my personal story, they're just "Vampires". Maybe Hydrophobic Vampire? And yeah, I assumed he'd be part of a playable race. :)
  11. First, define "Noble". :) Well, I do have plans for a Vampire breed - he was never like other Vampires. He was basically like them, but allergic to water (as well as the natural silver, sunlight and garlic), with certain telekinetic abilities implanted in his being, as well as having certain features that I don't think are normally recognized in Vampires (hypersensitive hearing, and some sort of laid-back "I'm not phased by your religion" attitude. I believe Vampires are affected by crosses, holy water and other holy things?). How would I be able to submit this type of Vampire, where, and what would I name it?
  12. Thank you! But I need to ask a little further just to make sure, okay? :) 2 - Thank you, but am I allowed to write my own sheet? 3 - I was planning having her in Terrenus. I was thinking about her having come from an orphanage and now living in in her own little apartment (I'd also like to ask where in Terrenus there happened to be an apartment complex and a marketplace, as well as the level of technology there if there were). I wanted her to have met a Vampire (from where the Vampire Queen is, presumably), and to have kept him with her when she realised he didn't have a family or anyone to go. While on the topic, are Vampires able to naturally reproduce? Do they have to be bitten, or can they sexually reproduce? So that he can have a biological family, as that was a plot point in his character. Also, if he could by any chance be a form of royalty, what could be be? Thank you for the introduction! :)
