Rose parker got a reaction from Vesper in Corner Cafe
The morning was a rather quiet one, the weather seemed pleasant as well. Rose had no particular chore to do around the Cafe, as the day felt like a long drawn out one, slow. Rose contemplated closing up early - that's when a familiar chime jingled, welcoming a new face to the quaint store.
"Welcome. " she responded to the new customer with a warm smile. The brunette gestured for them take a seat while she waited on them. "That's one cup of coffee, extra cream, sugar and one raspberry Danish! " she repeated the order while scribbling it down, her voice pleasant and chirpy. "You must've traveled quite the distance. Please take this time to relax. I'll bring your order in a jiffy. If you'll excuse me.. " with that Rose disappeared to kitchen whipping up a freshly brewed cup of her famous coffee, with a dollop of fresh cream to finish to give a finish touch, and not to forget one good spoon of sugar. Done. The raspberry Danish she set on side saucer, it still had that 'fresh out of the oven ' feel to it.
"Your order Miss. " Rose reappeared out the kitchen with tray in hand. She swiftly set the Coffee and side dish on to the table gently in front of the Mouse. "Please take your time to indulge and do Enjoy. " she stated with a warm smile patting her hands onto her apron.
Rose attention was caught by the worn out bandages around the Mouse's feet, she could tell straight away that They must've traveled far and wide. To what extend? She had no clue.

Meredith was a Small country mouse. She had garnered attention down south for her lively and often profound articles at the local paper. This is how she had come to know Eridias Drew, the big-shot newspaper executive who'd read her article about the Winter-time festivities in Lisa, her hometown. Meredith had never dreamed of writing for anything larger than the local tabloid. Not that she wanted to travel to the city. No. she was content at home, with her babies and Howie.
Then Howie got sick. Something about a bug and an immune deficiency causing havoc on his muscle tissue. Nothing Meredith would pretend to comprehend. She mailed Eridias Drew a letter accepting the job offer in the city. Her mother would care for the family for as long as it took. Meredith kissed her husband and children goodbye and took a cabbie west as far as it would go. After the ride had reached its limits, she had trudged through as far as her feet dragged her, amazed by thee sights and homesick simultaneously. Her long trip west wore her down, so on the third day of walking, when she found the Corner Cafe, she hopped in thankful for the well-deserved pit stop.
" It's Beautiful..." she whispered pressing the carpet bag with the broken hinge against her pudgy stomach.
The luxuries of the cafe, the frilled curtains and the round pillows strewn about casually, were unlike anything Lisa provided. Even if it could, nobody there would have the imagination to decorate like this.
Meredith caught whiff of blackberry jam. It made her stomach growl and her whiskers twitch.
" I don't usually indulge, but I've been traveling so long!'' she sighed.
"So if you don't mind, I would like a cup of coffee with lots of cream and lots of sugar."
she smelled the pastries "And a raspberry Danish."

"I'd like to take the coffee cake special." He spoke as he placed his arms on the table, chin propped up on one of his hands. "And a cup of coffee, please." He took a quick glance over to the newcomer, looking him up and down for a few moments before turning his attention back to the lady. "Can I have some extra creamer with that?" He didn't like his coffee to be bitter. He liked it sweet because undeniably, his sweet tooth was growing bigger and bigger these days and he had no problem and indulging in it.

Lysander watched as two more people showed up and as Rose went to tend to them. He sipped his coffee and thought about her question his story was a sad one and was not for the faint of heart. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his book, which was tiny in his hands he opened it up and started to read, he did so while enjoying the atmosphere of the quaint cafe.

Streaching, Anton raised his head. In front of him stood a girl who had a worried smile on him. He gave out a chuckle, making some cynical joke inside his head, then smiled back. Taking in a deep breath, he straightened in his seat and took a glance around the cafe, and noticed nothing new but the departure of some guests he had noticed before. His gaze turned back to... Well, he assumed she was a waitress or some other type of employee. That didn't matter though:
"Hello. How are you on this fine day?" He said in a happy tone, contradicting his facial expression: "I must say this is a rather nice place. If anything in Casper comes close, I think I'll be very pleased with my visit." He said laughing. It took a few seconds for him to register the fact that she asked him for something to eat:
"Ah, yes. Well, I'm new here and I'd like to try some local specialties. What do you recommend?"

Crocodile tumbled through the doorway and into the cafe, lurching over stools and tables and into the counter. He stayed still for a short while. Then he pressed his jaw to the counter-top, staring up at the girl behind the counter. He opened his mouth and snapped it shut it again. Nothing happened. He shot upright and loomed over a shocked couple's table and stole their cups, which he carefully placed upon the counter. Then he slammed his head back down on the counter-top, tottering the cups. After a while he removed a ring from his finger, which he set down beside the cups. He pushed it towards the girl. The ring was made of solid gold. He hissed, and steam drifted from between his teeth.

At the other's declaration, the corner of his lips twitching. "I'll be expecting that." He wasn't one to take these types of declarations lightly, after all. If one were to tell him to expect something, he was going to hold their words over their head and his next course of actions will depend whether they met those expectations or not. Though of course this was only a slice of cake, he wasn't even that hungry for it so he wasn't going to go to extremes if it didn't meet his expectations. He wasn't one to voice them, anyway.
Quietly he watched as she moved around swiftly and smoothly, eyeing the slice of chocolate cake and from the faint scent it emitted, he could tell it not to sweet, but sweet enough to entertain him. He hummed at the aroma of the coffee, straightening in his seat and looking over his order with a small, satisfied smile. "Thank you, miss." Taking a fork as well as a knife, he cut off a piece of the chocolate and tasted it with a hum. "..True to your words, aren't you?" His smile widened a bit, enjoying the taste as he took a sip of his coffee.

The brunette smiled and nodded making a mental note of the guests order who propped himhelf up on his elbows. " of course no problem, I will surprise you with a decent slice of our cake! You won't be disappointed. " she chimed, directing her response excitedly. seems like today is going well.. ' The thought quietly crept into her mind as another guest arrived into the Cafe, though The new comer seemed rather slump and pale in complexion as if he ran a marathon.
Rose quickly got herself into gear, putting a good slice of her famous dark forest chocolate cake, sliding the decent slice onto a saucer with ease, then finishing the fresh brewed coffee with a dollop of fresh creamer, smooth and frothy. She placed the two servings in front of the gentleman carefully. " please enjoy, sir. Hope it's to your liking. " a smile crossed her lips as she moved on to her next quest.

A familiar chime rang out, signalling a new customer entering the small establishment, Rose excused herself from the others table giving a small apologetic smile in return.
The girl made her way over to the front of the shop, stopping at the counter giving a knowing smile to her new guest, Rose sensed how patient the guest seemed as he waited for her to tend to him and she appreciated that. " Welcome to the corner cafe. Would you like anything to drink or eat? We have a coffee cake special if your interested?. " she asked the guest with a smile.
The guest seemed rather relaxed in his new environment, settling himself comfortably on the wooden stool he sat on, she also noticed a abnormally huge bag set down beside him as she made her way over. Rose wondered how anyone would be able to lug around such weight around, she shook her head in disbelief. This town never seemed to amaze her.

Fredrick was once again on the move, his large backpack thrown over his shoulder like it didn't look like it weighed a ton. His free hand gently tugged on the scarf-like cape that gently swayed in the breeze, loosening it and allowing more breathing space for him. The sun was shining down yet it wasn't as hot as he was expecting, which was a big relief if he were to be honest. His gaze was directed upwards as he walked, the slightly steep incline not once affecting him. It was something that he had grown used to as during his previous years as a thief he'd walk steeper inclines than this.
His attention was caught by a small sign that stood just outside the small building, interest piquing at the free coffee that was mentioned. He could use some energizing right now, and maybe something sweet to go with it would be nice. slowing to a stop outside, he peeked into the shop through the open windows and spotting some people moving inside it. Satisfied with the small amount of people, he walked in with a soft sigh of relief. The cafe gave a homey feel, something he appreciated once in a while. Quickly he made his way over to the counter, placing his bag down on the floor before taking a seat on one of the stools.
Glancing over to the lady that tended to the dishes, he hesitated in calling out. She seemed to be busy and honestly he wasn't social enough even for this. Instead he waited for her to approach him, an option that didn't require him to call out and engage first.

Lysander shook his head, a chuckle escaping form his lips, You're quite alright, and there are no hard feelings, it's been quite some time since I've had.....decent company. He thought to her, In fact he felt as if he was the one making things uncomfortable, as his large size usually did that.
He noticed that she had opened the curtains to let sunshine in. It felt good so he closed his eyes briefly, drinking in the calm. He opened his eyes back up and continued to eat, sighing in delight. So what made you decide to set up a cafe here? He asked her while he ate, trying to alleviate some of the tension in the room. She was his host after all, and a good guest treated his host with kindness and respect.

Lysander looked at the pie like one looked at a lover before taking his fork and taking a bite. It was heaven, famous blue-berry pie indeed. He savored the bite and swallowed giving Rose a smile It truly is a delicious pie, he thought to her. He took a sip of coffee savoring it's taste as well. It had been a while since he'd had such good food, not to mention the service was fantastic.
This recipe is delightful, where did you get it, best pie I've had in years, he asked, smiling warmly at her. It was a little odd for him to be around other people as he usually towered over them, but the fact that he was as tall if not taller than she was made him feel slightly uncomfortable.

Lysander smiled, glad everything was ok. Any type will do, I'm not picky about pie, he projected, chuckling at the events.
He brushed his hair with his hand before walking over to a table quite softly and gracefully. And then a thought struck him, he looked back at her and once again projected, my name's Lysander, and what might yours be? He inquired while removing his coat and laying it on the back of the chair. As he removed his coat his large scarred arms became visible, broken shackles Imbedded in his wrists. He rolled his shoulders, getting out any kinks as he waited for a response.

Lysander blushed hard because of the predicament he was in, I'm terribly sorry, I misjudged the size of the door. he projected to the small woman in front of him. I smelled pie and couldn't help myself.
He tried once more to free himself from the confines of the door frame, and it seemed as though the forces above saw fit to play a joke on him as the frame freed him and he came crashing to the floor below, face first.
He groaned and rolled over, sighing at his luck. Father you're an ass. He thought, not realizing he was still projecting his thoughts outward.
He stood and held out his hand to the woman, Sorry again, and I hope I didn't cause any damage to your establishment. he told her with a bashful smile.

After landing shore in he coastal village, Lysander breathed in the clean and peaceful atmosphere, happy to be off the ship.
He made his way through the streets and took in the sights, many people gave him a second glance, with him being 7'2 and all.
As he strode through the town a smell caught his attention, a smell he knew well.
Coffee.
He sighed in delight at the smell, and then another smell laced in the scent of the coffee caught his attention with a fierce grip.
Pie.
Oh how did he love pie. So in turn he followed his nose and made his way towards the origin of the smells. As he got close he saw that the source of the scents was a quaint cafe. He smiled in delight at the thought of sweet delicious pie. But then a dilemma occurred to him, that door is pretty small....
He decided in his head that pie was worth any struggle, and proceeded to get wedged in the doorway. Unable to get free without damaging the frame, he projected mentally to anyone inside "help".

Yet another ordinary day..
The day has just yet to begin as the sun shone brightly high above, the heavens shining down on the sea shore of Casper.
Rose paced herself, her foot steps light and swift as she walked on the cemented path, a route she always took when she had errands to run. ''Flour...hm, check. Cherries? check! ..what else would I be needing?'' crossing out off her small list she held, glancing from one item to the next, Rose made note of all the items she needed for the day ahead. One Store, then the next she made her way around town, occasionally greeting people on the way, she always made it a goal to be friendly, and helpful. Once on her way home she couldn't help but stop in her tracks seeing a elderly woman struggling with at least five full over packed bags, full of groceries and what not. Rose remembered the great big smile the Elderly woman gave Her as she had offered to help carry her bags and walk the rather small frail woman home, A good deed done!
A pep in her step she finally reached her destination, juggling her groceries in one hand, unlocking the door with her other free hand, slipping inside the small frame door. Home! Well, to Rose it was like a second home, The Corner Café. Everyday she stepped foot into the little place, the presence, the aura around the little establishment always put a smile on her face. Thoughts of the past made her wonder how lucky she was to have such a responsibility, let alone to have such pleasant neighbors, Casper no doubt. Placing the bags she held, then placing them onto the kitchen counter with ease, unpacking and placing items here and there, it surely was a pleasant feeling looking forward to what the day had yet to bring.

Rose must've appeared comical in her stance just moments ago, her face colored a shade of pink out of embarrassment as she retook her normal posture, leaning up against the counter. She couldn't help wondering what kind of expression Lucian held as she turned her gaze towards him, he probably thought she was some loon that escaped from some asylum!? The thought made her chuckle forgetting about any worries she might've had. Nonetheless the rather large man pushed himself off the counter top with ease, saying: that it was about time he took his leave, wanting to get back to his busy schedule, she could understand this quite well herself.
"Um... sure it's no problem at all. It was pleasure to meet you as well." before she could continue on, Lucian took hold of her hand, placing a quick chased kiss on her knuckles, for a moment she was at a loss for words. ' I did not expect that... ' she retrieved the same hand back, then reaching to the back of her neck giving it a light rub not quite sure how to react in a situation like this. She nervously cleared her throat. " You take care now, thanks again for your help." she smiled. Rose followed suite as Lucian too soon left the kitchen heading towards his table holstering his gun, nodding in Arabellas direction a farewell, then out the door he went, and waved one last time before he was soon out of sight.
The days events played back in her mind, and what a day it was, she secretly hoped more days like this one would come about. Arabella's voice shook her from her thoughts, she smiled at her, " Well I'm afraid I have to close shop up for the night. But that doesn't mean you have to be a stranger. Come back in anytime you want. " Rose cleaned the table picking up the dishes, then giving the table a wipe down. Deep down she didn't want to admit it, but she knew she was going to miss these Two most interesting people. Hopefully she'll get to see them again, soon.
