I've been thinking about the Cursor some and. So what if you setup a "shop" thread with the cursor and other players can come to you to get the curses put into little payloads / grenades / bombs. A little disclaimer at the top that the person using it should still be arranging the use of a curse with whoever they're going to chuck it at but I think it might lead to more use as people commoditize hexes

It's a different kind of game than the kind you've been trying to get into with the cursor and just on that basis it might not appeal but I see an untapped market here

Hello everyone, vielle here (again)! ?

So: I'm a prodigal daughter on her way back home. I just wanted to apologize to everyone for ghosting all those months ago—it's as @Csl has said: I've taken a leave of absence because I had to focus on stuff irl and also my mental health. Things haven't been the best in that latter aspect, but methinks I'm doing better nowadays. It's kinda tough, having to learn some things the hard way, but that's life for you! Now, I've kinda gotten better at handling my stressors now. ?

Which leads me to that elephant in the room: I'm dropping out of past threads, cutting down on new threads, and focusing more on personal plots this time around. Taking up all those past threads and keeping up with them was in fact doable, truly, but I unfortunately overestimated my capacity to stay interested in all the things. It's not that those plots weren't interesting; don't get me wrong! It's just that there's only so much my writing muse can do for me, and though some once thought it of me, I'm not a machine. ? So, as I make my slow return, I'll be more particular about the future plots and threads I'll be engaging in, so I can give them my utmost writing efforts to the best of my ability. It's the least I can do for my writing partners; you all deserve the best I can give. ❤️

By the way, I have not checked Discord yet and probably will continue not checking Discord for the foreseeable future. I'm sorry if anyone sent me any messages over there; I haven't opened it at all over these past few months! ? But please know, whatever you may have sent me, I appreciate that you have thought to interact with me at all, even when I was, y'know, away. ?

Overly sentimental stuff aside: I'm (omw) back! I've missed you all dearly. If you would have me back in your good graces, I'd be happy to write with you all again. Gonna do some spring cleaning on my thread tracker (it's a little dusty in there!) and take over handling that character/lore garage sale @Csl was doing for me (thank you so much, bestie!), and then maybe I'll have a cup of tea and look around what's changed here in my absence some more.

So, as some of you might already be aware, I have made the decision to phase myself out of RPing in Canon Valucre. A few different conditions, including an increased feeling that posts are more like grindy chores than fun, and the threat that my job is going to get way more busy and make it difficult to find time to post, have contributed to this decision. What does it mean? It means I will be completing my current ongoing threads, but not starting anything new. I will be working on setting suitable endings for my existing characters and plots in the next couple of months, and I am shooting to be done with everything in the canon world by about January 1st.

I will not be quitting any threads. All my existing obligations I will see through until the end. Also, for those in Chasing Legends, I will stick with that thread however long it goes, including if we do sequels (unlike the canon threads, I feel more at ease in Chasing Legends and find it more fun, and if it is just that one thread, I should be able to keep up well-enough), so you needn't worry about me leaving there. Also, I will still be approachable for graphic design commissions, if anyone is interested in that.

Interest checks to determine the fates of House Karradeen and the Plateau of Zuhl/Sidereal Lake will be made in probably a week or so from now.

This is not a farewell, merely a transition to a less active state-of-being. So let's avoid getting sappy over it; I loath sadness, so let's just not give it any time of day, eh?

As some of you may know, I’ve been discussing the possibility of a retcon to my character’s story, resulting in the death of her child Philippe (per the witch’s prophecy). I’ve decided to put that in effect as of today. In short, rather than having survived the traumatic nature of his birth, despite the best efforts of those who tried to intervene (Marigold and Rodan), the newborn will have succumbed to injuries sustained while in utero (compliments of Lunara) and died shortly after birth. While my reasons are my own, I know that this may affect some of your stories, and I apologize for any inconveniences that might come from this. I will do whatever I can to make things work with this new story line. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to PM me on the forum or reach out to me on Discord, I am more than willing to work with you if this decision somehow directly affects one of your characters.
