As I play Pokémon Sword, I can't help but think of how many of the bad situations Thurgood Singlance would have murdered Galar out of.
Chairman Rose wouldn't live past the conversation at the top of the tower, Sordward and Shieldbert would have their smug asses ventilated after they forced the first Dynamax, and Sonia's new "assistant" would be suffering for three days with a horrendous fever before dying of sepsis from being impaled Vlad-Dracula-style. Guess that's why he's here on Valucre instead of whatever planet the Pokémon games take place on...
...oh, and Oleanna's life would be in danger too...

Motivation is so hard to find in yourself sometimes. A moment, a single moment of procrastination can lead to hours and then days. It's so much easier to do nothing, than to do literally anything. Even if you really want to do something, your body sometimes feels like not doing it at all. For no reason. Or at least no clear reason. Then time flies and the stress builds up, and the more stress builds up, the LESS you want to catch up because it just ends up creating a mountain to do. Then the mountain falls on you like an avalanche and all you can do is run and scramble to avoid being crushed by the sheer weight of it all.
And sometimes you know that you can not only outrun the avalanche but climb the mountain, and yet when you look for the motivation you realize you ran out it during the time you took running from it. Then it's like, ok next time I want do it again, but when next time comes you're body and mind are just like naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah it worked out in the end, sort of.
Right up until when there's an avalanche you can't run from anymore.
It's like, not to quote the meme, but JUST FUCKING DO IT. You're never gonna FEEL like doing it, so JUST DO IT.
Ironically, I'm typing this as a way to run from the building avalanche that is law school deadlines.
I'm not complaining, I chose to do this. It's more of a self-chastising introspection that I just kinda wanted to write out.

I am currently semi-AFV. I have been semi-AFV since the resurgence of COVID-19 in the USA. I am attempting to resolve other issues at the moment, and while I have tried to write in my free time, I keep discarding what I generate because it doesn't feel right. It feels stiff and formal. Needless to say, that is not quite the style I am going for.
I anticipate I will be semi-AFV for the next few weeks. My apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
