  1. It was like a slap in the face as the realization of the situation came to a point. Silas refused to heal and refused to take care of the problem. Elizabeth stood as Silas and Red began to bicker back and forth with one another. All she could do was watch as the two go at it. Her body numb as she contemplated her life. She was preparing to die here in this moment with two men who were arguing about weather one man should drink blood to heal himself or not and the other refusing to heal….with blood.

Her thoughts began to scatter into the realization that she had no clue what Silas was. Was he human? He looked human….maybe he was half human half….

Elizabeth was jolted from her thoughts as Silas placed his hands on her shoulders.  “Elizabeth”.

“I’m sorry, about everything. You…. Probably know by now that-“

“I don’t mean to ruin this heart-warming moment, but if you won’t accept blood, we’re in some real trouble. Richard’s men are hot on our heels and we’re almost out clean out of ammunition!”

Elizabeth felt heat on her shoulders as his hands rested so casually on them. It wasn’t until she heard the pain in his voice.

“And you were hoping that I would go nuts and tear them apart?”

He placed the blame on James but in all truth it was her idea to find Silas and have him demolish the men. She was just as sick and twisted if not more. This was why she could not say she was any better than Silas or Red. She had the same mentality as the both of them. She was just as depraved as Silas….

Again she was thrown from her thoughts as her body erupted in warmth, Silas had made his way to her and embraced her in a hug. She was standing in the middle of a blizzard with a ripped up dress and nothing to keep her warm but here she was burning up. She was unable to speak as he whispered into the wind, sure only she could hear him. It was the “incase I never see you again that caused her heart to start beating rapidly in her chest. She was just now processing that this was his good bye.

Elizabeth sucked in a breath through parted lips; she was preparing to give her last good bye. It was there on the tip of her tongue, the good bye that was inevitable. Even as she began to speak the feel of Silas’ stubble dragging along her jaw caused the breath she had taken to leave. There was no time to react as his lips crashed into hers. The feel of her first kiss was foreign and new. His brazen kiss only caused her hands to shoot up to his chest and her eyes to immediately close. Was this happening? What was happening? Elizabeth couldn’t stop her body from reacting, melting into him as if she was meant to be there. That feeling of warmth radiated though out her. Though she was taken by surprise she savored every second until she felt the stubble of his beard a crossed her cheek again. He was hugging her again but this time it was more possessive then goodbye.

Silas released her and then as if time was moving in slow motion the events that played out next caused her heart to ache. The realization that this was it, a possible good bye between them only caused her eyes to water. It was quick but there and gone all together. This was her playing field. She was the best at covering up murders and making it appear like everything was normal.

As she looked up she knew Silas was going to be far gone he did have enhanced speed and senses…

“Change of plans…. Silas said he had enhanced senses right? He can her me if I call out to him right?”

“Well, I mean yeah.” Red have her a curious look.

“EXPLOSIVES! I NEED EXPLOSIVES! MEET US AT THE ABANDOND MINES!” Her voice carried but she was not sure if he heard her. Bullets would still blow up the mines as she needed.

“Okay, let’s go.” She was moving further away and more towards the mountains.

“Elizabeth are you sure about this? What if he didn’t hear you? He is weak right now.”

    “He can smell us right?”

“Yes, but what if he can’t get to us in time?”

“Then he doesn’t get to us in time and I will have to improvise. I can’t force him to drink my blood. I don’t want to make him do something he doesn’t want to do. Red we can’t do that to him. He seemed really torn and regretful.”

“Look I aint saying that we are gonna die without him but look at the odds and I would have never asked him to do that but look…as long as I have known that man I have never seen him be able to walk away when he is like that.”

“Beasting out?” Red gave a chuckle and shook his head. “That is a new one. I aint heard that one yet.”

“Well I am a little new to this Red.”

“That hunger he has inside of him…it has always controlled him. There has never been a time when he had control over that part of him. Today was the first time I have witnessed that man walk away from a meal and he walked away from you of all people. I cannot tell you how many times he had to get away from you because of how much he wanted to rip you apart.” Red looked down in shame for saying something so harsh.

“I get it Red. You don’t have to act like you broke my favorite toy.”

“I know I just hadn’t said it out loud before. “

Elizabeth and Red trekked their way up to the old abandoned mines that were just on the edge of Silas’ property. That was going to be one massive tomb. She was going to even put the other body parts in there and burn the thing down. No one will ever know what happened.

“I am going to trap them in there….then when they are dead I will clean up the house and burn the son of a bitch down. No one will ever know what happened here and we can go on living our lives. The other maids are locked in the safe room and couldn’t have possibly seen what happened here. I think once I am finished life should go back to normal.” She wanted to laugh at that statement.

Normal…what was normal anymore? She touched her lips and then shook her head as she pushed on. There was no time to think about Silas and his abrupt kiss. A kiss she did not have time to react to. The mine was only a bit further away. The men would have a hard time finding them that far up. The snow only worsened as they got closer to the mountain base.

It felt like a weight had been lifted from her shoulders as she looked at the entrance of the mine. She took no time in getting started. Her eyes focused on running the traps and preparing the mine to encase the bodies of those who have opposed her. She could only hope that Silas heard her plea and would find them there. She was going to have to pull a miracle out of her ass if she was going to save Red and herself. Hell if Silas doesn’t show will that mean that he is dead?

Her breath hitched at the thought of him lying lifeless in the snow. Her heart began to race as she thought about how stupid she had been. He kissed her, finally returned her feeling and all she could do was freeze up. What if she never saw him again? What if that was it? A kiss she was too shocked to return! Was that going to be the highlight of their relationship? Her first kiss was not how she expected it to be….

He had to come back to her….they were just getting started.

  2.   It was sudden, James whisking her out of the room and off to the Kitchen. She was confused at this point. Her little cut causing this much of an uproar? Something wasn’t right. She had barley nicked it…right? Elizabeth looked into the mirror that sat just off in the corner. Her Caramel eyes peered at the red that was slowly making its way down her cheek. She had not a clue that she had actually cut herself this badly. Sighing, Elizabeth grabbed the small kit they kept in the kitchen for instances of a cut finger or maybe even a poke or two from cooking.

“I take it a deal went south, he lost goods or he is angry with having to spend unnecessary money on some mess up his workers made?” Her voice was calm as she looked in the mirror cleaning her cut. The Alcohol burned but she showed no sign of discomfort. James seemed taken back by her comment. He would forget how long she has been around sometimes.

“Yes, I believe so….something of that nature.” He gave a somewhat distracted answer. He honestly was not sure what caused Aaron’s outburst. He filed all the contracts in a timely manner and even made a few more deals with them. Money was coming in from left and right with no signs of stopping. He had an amazing month at the factory with no injuries and no payouts. He was dreading the founder’s ball but then again he dreads that every year. He had never threw a full on tantrum over that silly old ball. James was now curious as to why the man trash his room. He looked up at Elizabeth, curious to know if maybe she was the problem.

James walked out of the kitchen up the grand staircase. He was letting the wheels in his old mind turn. He carried himself up and over to Aaron’s room. He gave a slight knock before he entered into the domain and began stepping over all the debris.

“Hmm, you did quite a number on the old room this time. Much worse than the last time I would say. It makes me wonder what on earth pissed you off enough to completely dismantle your entire room. I mean a chair or two sure…knocking all your stuff to the floor that’s normal but to completely destroy your dresser and a bed post….even the chairs and tables.” James looked up at him one eyebrow raised.

“Care to talk to me about the issue? I mean we have had a great quarter and our revenue has jumped so I know it cannot be anything to do with work…” James let a small breath out as he picked up a book that was on the floor beneath him.  “Wouldn’t have anything to do with that young lady down in the kitchen would it?” James had been around for a while now and it wasn’t hard to guess what was eating at his dearest and oldest friend.

Elizabeth finished cleaning the cut that now donned her cheek. She rolled her eyes as she put the first aid kit away and grabbed a glass, making herself a cup of coffee and then sitting at the small table off in the corner. This is where she would do her chore sheets and any other paper work for James. She sighed as she looked off into the distance, her mind going to dinner and causing her cheeks to flush. The small zing she felt when her feet accidently bumped against his was enough to take her breath away, that and the absolute fear that he was going to kill her for it. Was she sick or something? How can she be so… so attached? No that is not the word… attracted to him.  Yes, how can she be so attracted to a murderous beast? Is it because she is twisted in her own ways? She had to be clinically insane but then again……

Her mind floated to the bath incident. Maybe she was being a normal woman. There was nothing wrong with it… he was in fact an attractive man. She needed to get a grip though, no more pining… or fantasy stuff. The dream she was having just before he woke her with his fit was proof enough that she needed to get it together. He would never see her in any other way beside that she was his maid.

Taking another sip of her coffee she gave a soft smile and rolled her eyes. She couldn’t help but think about why Aaron had turned into such a monster…..

  3. The cold bit at Elizabeth as she dredged through the fresh fallen snow. Red was well ahead of her as they made their way toward Silas. She was not sure if she wanted to hug him or shoot him but one thing was for sure…she need that monster to help them. They were outnumbered and well really not outmatched just that well their skills could only carry them so far. The wind howled as the sky danced in bright colors. The sun was coming up now and hopefully would provide even an ounce of warmth.

“Red, what if he isn’t here any longer?”

“He will be… He has to be or we are dead.”

    “Red… you know you’re like a father to me…I”

“No Liz…we are not doing that.”

“Well if they don’t get us Silas will!” She snapped and her face fell.

“I have never seen that man walk away from a kill…. But you, he ran from you like the plague. I think aas long as you’re here he aint gonna harm me or you.”

    “I hope your right…”

Things fell silent between the two as they continued on. The sounds of men yelling and gun shots still rang out behind them. Elizabeth was in deep thought again. Her mind on nothing other than that man and his rejection of her. Was that why? He rejected her because he knew who she was and knew that she would hate him? Was it because he knew what monster lied beneath and chose to keep her from it? Her head was spinning with all the possibilities.

Elizabeth slowed when Red called out that he could see Silas , she stopped in her tracks when he called out to them. She didn’t care if he was in his right mind or not. She just stood there as Red ran to Silas. She watched as he looked him over and sighed as he saw the wounds not healing. There was no way Silas could get them out of this mess in this condition, not without blood.

“Silas, you’re not gonna be much help like this… you need blood.  I would give you mine but I don’t want you hunting me down for more.” Red chuckled and then sat down beside Silas.

“I mean there are at least 30-40 men coming for us. I can’t do that on my own….” Red looked up and noticed Elizabeth frozen where she stood. Her eyes on Silas as she held the revolver in her hand.

“I guess I ought to let her shoot you and get it over with huh? She is very angry with you. Besides it’s not like it will kill ya. ” He gave a laugh and nodded his head toward her patting Silas on the back.

Elizabeth just stood there watching him her heart pounding in her chest. She was angry and relived at the same time. Her eyes were welling with tears or anger and happiness. Taking a deep breath she started toward the two men, her eyes never leaving Silas as she stalked toward him in a slow predatory way.

When she found herself in front of him, she clinched the gun and her hand started shaking. She was angry yes but relived as well.  In one swift motion she raised her gun and then landed a blow across Silas’s face.  As quickly as she hit him, she fell to her knees and her arms flew around his neck as she let the tears fall, all while scolding him.

“Why did you run off? I thought you were dead or dying and you left without even an explication!” She pulled back, her arms still around him as she looked him in his cold black eyes, her Golden hues seeing right through the darkness.

Loud shots rang out and Elizabeth looked back knowing that she had to do something. Pulling the bandage off of her wrist she held it to him. Her eyes determined as she took a breath. She knew what she needed to do. IF only a little of her blood caused his killing spree at the house imagine what a little more would do… like say all those men behind her.

“This is what you need right? This will help you to take care of our little problem right?” Elizabeth looked down for only a second before she made one last comment.

“Silas, you better not let me die …..” Her eyes speaking volumes, telling him that she had a lot of questions, that he had to explain to her what was happening  and most of all her love for him.

  4. Elizabeth looked around her as she took in the broken chairs and pictures. The glass objects that donned his dresser were shattered on the floor. What caused her breath to catch was the raw animalistic look on Aaron’s face as he spun on her. His labored breathing as he looked at her. There was something in his eyes that spoke to her, a look that danced on the fine line or murderous and confused.

“Elizabeth” Her heart beat increased as she watched him. His body ridged as he spit her name. He seemed to be caught off guard.

    “What are you doing here?”

She was silent for a long while, her thoughts racing as she looked at Aaron. Her eyes began searching him for some answer as to why he just trashed his room. She involuntarily took a step forward, her bare foot retracting as it felt the hard pinch of something sharp beneath her foot. This caused her to break her eye contact and look down at the piece of wood lying at her feet.

“I am here because I thought someone was trying to harm you. I came to make sure you were alright.” Her voice was soft as she looked back up at him. Her breath was still a bit labored as adrenalin continued to surge through her.

“I see that you are um, fine I suppose.”  She gave a shake of her head and realized that he could have hurt himself.

Elizabeth stepped around all the debris and found herself in front of Aaron. She grabbed his hands and began to check them for any cuts or scrapes. To her surprise his hands had not one scratch on them. She gave a confused looks as she assessed him further. When she was happy with the results she turned, her back was now to him as she looked at the mess she would have to clean.

Taking a deep breath Elizabeth stooped down and began to pick up the large chunks of wood and put them in a pile. Grabbing a large piece of would she gave it a tug but it did not lift, pulling again she grunted. Finally giving up on the large piece her hand moved to a smaller one, yanking it up it flew toward her. The wood met with the side of her cheek and she hissed in pain. Touching her cheek she could feel the scratch she now had. Of course she would smack herself in the face with wood.

Mumbling under her breath she continued to move the wood that was large enough to be disposed of to a corner. She couldn’t help but think about what had his so angry that he would destroy his own room.

“My Lord if you wish I can allow you to sleep and clean this tomorrow or if you are okay with my presence here I will clean now.” She stopped to look at him awaiting a reply.

What made him so angry that he crushed half the furniture in the room? A small voice in the back of her head said that this was her fault but how when she had done nothing….or was it because of the accidental touching at dinner? Was this him taking his anger out on something other than her….again.

Another thought running through her head was how on earth he managed to smash all the wood. He was well built and strong no doubt. The preview he so nicely bestowed her was enough to show her just how muscular he was. Still, there is no man strong enough to completely smash a full sized chair, break off a bed post, and rip apart a drawer and a very heavy coffee table.

  5.                  This had to be her personal hell. She could feel the burning across her shoulder as she hit the snow and crawled behind a large oak. Red was right behind her as his had hit the now. The pain that seared through her back could only mean one thing, she had been grazed. The smell of fire and lead clouded her sense of smell and the flurries of snow mixed with smoke made it hard for her to see much of anything. There was only a split second of silence before the yelling and more gun shots rang out.

It was swift, Red had a man by the throat and began shouting orders at her. She could barely hear over the roar of men and gun fire. She did not hesitate when she realized what her dear old friend was saying. Quickly she dashed over to the rifle and pulled it to its proper position. She was trained well by Red in case of a house invasion. He said he wanted the girls to be safe but now she was thinking that there was more to the story. That and he didn’t have anyone to pass his skills down to.

Elizabeth took a long deep breath, the winter air shredding her lungs as she did. Her breathing steadies and in a swift motion her finger was quick on the trigger. Once, twice, three times and she could hear the men hit the ground. The sound of their bodies falling from their horses gave her a sick satisfaction.  She began her reload as she tried to cover Red as best as he had taught her.  She was no Red but he was strict on her. She was well disciplined in the art of handling a gun.

Looking around her she gave off a small grin. Her eyes darting from left to right. It was then that her brain began to push into over drive. If it was cover Red wanted ….it was cover he was going to get. Elizabeth’s hands fell to the bottom of her tattered dress and she pulled hard. The sound of her dress ripping was faint but there it was, a slit up the side giving her better range of motion.

In one swift motion she began her climb. The tree she was climbing had to have been as wide as a car and just as thick. It was the perfect cover. She continued her climb until she was well hidden in the trees. No one could see her as she steadied her gun and began to take out as many men as she could. Her eyes then landed on the one man who caused this. He was the problem…. him. Elizabeth began to reload as she readied herself to take aim at that snake. Something in the distance caught her eye. Trees rustling and some even falling as if they were being chopped down. That could only mean one thing… Silas. He obviously had the strength to rip apart men so why not knock down trees.

Red was pretty impressed with his student. Ever since she had showed interest in his guns he started to teach her how to handle them and to properly use them. She was a good shot and had the potential to be an amazing marks men. Red covered her as she climbed and took out a few more men with the guns he had picked up off of the fallen.

He still wasn’t sure how he was going to get them out of this mess. He needed to think of something a fast.

“Get your head out of the clouds girl!” Red called out as he took out a few more men.

“I think I found him….” Elizabeth’s voice was low but loud enough to be heard.

“Silas…. The trees over there look as if they are being worked by a lumber mill but you and I both know he doesn’t own one or have one on his property.  We can lead all of these men to their deaths if we can lead them to Silas. This would be the best way to get out of this mess.”

Red didn’t like the idea of leading these men to Silas for the slaughter but Elizabeth was right. That was the only way both she and He would make it out. With a reluctant nod Red began to move backwards, gun aimed and at the ready. He was well trained and his skill surmounted even Silas at times.

Elizabeth jumped down from the tree and ignored her already injured foot. She followed close to Red but not so close that it would give them away.  Gun shots rang out as they fired and was fired upon. The strategic plan to get them to Silas was their only hope. That or hoped Silas would be curious enough to come looking for more blood.

Elizabeth, though trying to stay focused let her mind slip to him. He was someone she had grown to like and even love…. now he is the man who killed her parents. So…why? Why does she still feel the sick need to find him and no… not shoot him but to protect him. What was wrong with her? Was her mind just as sick and twisted as she had thought it to be? He killed her parents in front of her… he was a cold blooded killer and yet here she was pining for him. This made absolutely no sense to her.

Elizabeth was dumbfounded at the fact that her anger was now subsiding and she was feeling not hate but love for this beast. This beautiful beast whom is dangerous and probably a poor decision on her par. She couldn’t help but love him. All the long talks and giggling in the kitchen late at night and in the early mornings. He would pick her brain and she would pick his. The conversations that would lead to heated discussions and debates. Even the small moments of silence that spoke volumes.

All of that could not just disappear as much as she wanted it to. As much as she wanted to hate this man she could not ignore the part of him who is not the man who killed her parents…. that man well, she was helplessly in love with that man.

If she made it through tonight she was going to shoot Silas that was for sure. It’s not like he could die anyhow. After that… well after that, she wasn’t sure what she was going to do. This was a new chapter in her life and the question is, Was she going to stay or leave?

  6. Megan jumped at Anna’s sudden yelp, dropping the bowl of flour she had in her hands. Megan looked back at Anna only to see her gaping at the man she had just helped. Anna was staring at him as if he was some type of monster. Megan rolled her eyes and walked back to the front. She wasn’t sure what reason Anna would have for yelping like that but she was going to find out.

“What on earth is the matter with you Anna?” Megan asks as he reaches the counter. Her Green eyes finding that man’s two different colored eyes.

“He asked if we um… accept that as currency.” Anna pointed to his hand and Megan gave a soft gasp. She quickly grabbed the man’s hand and closed it around the beautiful gem. Touching him sent an electric chill down her spine.

“Sir, you should not show things like this out in public… someone could try and rob you.” She pulled her hand away and shook her head. Megan pushed the drink paper and chocolate crescent to him and waved her hands.  “This one is on the house but you should really think about putting that in a safe place.”

Her words were of truth. Lately there had been these goons running around and robbing people for little to nothing. This had the officers here so busy that they haven’t been able to catch the people who are driving way too fast in those fancy little things called cars.  Megan preferred to walk to her little establishment.

Things have been getting worse now that the holidays were approaching. People who would be coming home with the gifts for their families would end up getting robbed and sometimes even hurt. She hated the thought for this stranger walking out of here and getting mugged because he didn’t know any better. He deserved to know the truth about what has been going on rather than walk around without a care in the world.

“We have been having some trouble with a group of people who seem to think it is okay to run around robbing people. I wouldn’t want you to get hurt over something like this. Perhaps you can take that to Murphy’s just two blocks up and he can exchange that for you. I am sure he would be the best one for the job.” Megan gave him a warm smile and held her hand out to him.

“I am Megan by the way…. I own this shop.” Her eyes twinkled with curiosity. Just how old was this man and where did he come from?

Her mind was asking a million different questions as she let her green eyes roam over his face, trying to figure him out as if text from a book would appear on his face and give her all the answers she was looking for. He was rather intriguing considering he was standing here trying to pay with one of the most beautiful gems she had ever seen.

Nostalgic indeed with how long ago he must have been here.

  7. I have two Ideas based off of Classics (Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood ect.) with a twist. If you are interested in hearing about them PM me and I would be more than happy to go over them! I am wanting someone who can post often and write more then a small paragraph.

  8. It was in this exact moment that she was exactly in the same position she was in when she was only a small girl. She stood against the wall looking into his bright red eyes. She could never mistake them for anyone other than those monsters. It was strange though, his eyes said monster but seeing Silas attached to them, it was different. He called to her… his eyes started to fade from the monster to the man she has fallen so helplessly in love with. Why was it that she was so angry, angry that the thing whom killed her parents in front of her was the man she loved? This started an internal struggle inside of Elizabeth. She wanted to kill him and make him feel the pain and torture that she had felt in losing her parents. Yet here she was looking at Silas. She thought he was dead. She thought she had lost him and this caused her to want to fling herself into his arms and dare she say kiss him.

Elizabeth was so torn that it wasn’t until she heard his gruff voice and the word no she shook out of her thoughts and really looked at him. He seemed to be struggling with something. He then lets out a raw and fierce scream. This caused her to jump back further into the wall she had been pressed against. He took out a wall as if it was like kicking a sand castle. The wall crumbled under his touch and this caused Elizabeth to shrink covering her face as pieces of the wall flew at her. When it calmed she uncovered her face and looked at him. He was kneeling down and seeming fighting with himself internally.

Seeing him in this feral state caused her stomach to clinch and her breath to catch. He was a beautiful beast, a beast that killed her parents and made her feel things she had never felt before. This was why he would not return her feelings. She was being pushed away because of what? He could kill her…

He knew! He knew that he killed her parents and that is why. This whole time he let her fall for him, love him with everything she had and he knew that he killed her parents. This only causes Elizabeth to seethe with anger. With one final yell he bounded off into the forest without looking back and causing her world to crumble around her.

Everything after came as if it were in slow motion. Red’s voice was distorted as he began to ask her a million and one questions. It was as if she was losing all since of self. There in that moment she wanted to kill James. She wanted to take that revolver and empty it into his chest and one right between the eyes. Her hands were shaking and she was only inches from falling off the edge. She was so close to snapping.

“Of Course I saw him, of course I watched him stare me down and I definitely watched as the monster whom tore my parents to shreds ran off into the woods as if him leaving would make this all better. So, yes James I would say I saw him.”

James stay silent as he watch the girl he had known for most of her life crumble before her. He was not sure what to say to her. He wasn’t even sure if he was ready to have this conversation with her. He had been preparing for it for so long that he was not prepared for it this very moment.

“Do not Liz me!” She growled through clinched teeth and in one swift motion she snatched Red’s gun and started off in the direction Silas was heading.

“I am gonna make him pay!” She yelled and stormed off. She was seeing red and nothing was going to stop her.

“Elizabeth, he cannot die. That gun is going to do nothing to him!” Elizabeth stopped and turned on James.

“I am going after him. You either come with me or I am going alone.” This caused her to look back at the house and she rolled her eyes. Elizabeth knew that she was going to have to make a decision now. She was going to have to decide to face her demons or live with them….

James gave her an exasperated look as he pinched the bridge of his nose. He knew that either way he was going to have to go after Silas to ensure that he doesn’t harm anyone other than the people he already took out. Taking Elizabeth was going to be a challenge considering she wanted his head on a stick. She would either get herself killed or worse, she would get them both killed.

“Fine…. We go after him but Liz you have to promise to hold off on shooting him. If he isn’t in control when we find him he will kill us. He doesn’t have control Liz. When he lets go…..he doesn’t have control.” James was saying this but all the while he was thinking about how Silas could have left Elizabeth there and not killed her. This isn’t like him. He would have killed her no hesitation and now here she is standing in front of him and Silas has ran off into the woods.

James began ahead of Elizabeth his mind on why Silas left her alive. Maybe it was the thrill of the hunt…. He was hunting her wasn’t he? Her blood is what woke him… he had never seen Silas heal so rapidly but with her blood he had recovered so quickly that it wasn’t funny.

There had to be some explanation for him to spare her life.

He loves her… that is the only thing possible. Silas beat him… he beat that beast. Unless the Beast is just as in love with her as Silas is. They are the same person one just will choose blood over anything and everything else. Maybe because she gave the blood he didn’t see her as something he needed to kill. He thinks she will give it willing.

James was trying to come up with every excuse in the book and there was something that finally sank in. Silas had been lost to that beast several times and he was also never a casualty. Did that mean that Silas could control the hunger? He could control who he feeds on and doesn’t? The night was bitter and cold. They had left with nothing but the clothes on their backs and James knew that Elizabeth wouldn’t last without some semblance of warmth.

Still they treck on until James starts to see the massive trees that were knocked down in Silas’ wake. He was catching up to the trail Silas decided to take. The only question is…. Would they catch up to Silas?

  9. The day had started off normally, everything the same as it always was. Her bright green eyes focused as she piped one last flower on the side of her three tier cake. A satisfied smiled found her full glossy lip, as she stood up straight and began to admire her handy work.  The cake was dark chocolate with strawberry filling between the layers. The frosting on the outside was white and red roses trailed from the bottom up till it made it to the top and a few sat bunched at the top. It was simple yet very elegant, giving an air of sophistication. She normally would come into work and just start on her baked goods for the day but today she had to finish the wedding cake that Kate and Eliot ordered for their big day today.

It was not long before her assistant Anna showed up for her shift. Anna worked the front, taking orders and helping to get them ready. She was also studying to become an amazing baker. Anna had gone to school and graduated but she wanted to take lessons with one of the most known bakers here in this bustling city. Anna looked up and gave a soft laugh. She shook her head and pointed to the back.

“Meg… have you seen yourself?” She could not help another giggle.

“What do you mean?” Meg asked as she rushed to the back and looked at herself in her full length mirror. She scanned herself over from head to toe. Her shoes were red flats, dark skinny jeans and a black long sleeve shirt that is being covered by her red apron. Her reddish brown hair was piled high on her head with loose tendrils falling out. She looked like a hot mess with all the flower and icing on her.

“I look like I own a café.” She says as she comes back to the front and gives a soft laugh.

“I suppose so. So you finished the cake right?”

“Yes, it is all done and so now all we have to do is get the pastries and coffee going.”

“Yes ma’am!”  Anna chirps and places an apron on, her hands digging into the batters that lay before her.

It seemed like only minutes had gone by and soon it was opening time. Anna unlocked the doors and turned the open sign on. It took no time at all for her regulars to start piling into the door. Mr. Herold ordered his usual crescent and dark roast with light cream and sugar.  Mrs. Herold ordered her latte and blueberry muffin nagging her husband as they went to sit in the corner table at the far back. Joe comes in next waving at Anna for his usual and he sets the 20 dollars down and walks to the table by the door. He likes to make a quick exit. He also never asks for his change.

Megan smiles at all the regulars as they come in, giving soft waves as she tends to her cookies and donuts, Anna taking orders left and right as she dishes out coffees and cakes to the morning rush. Everyone coming in before they had to rush off to work. They all say she makes the best coffee and teas in town. Now that it is winter time she added hot cider to her list. Everyone use to drink this, way before she was even born. Megan on felt it right to keep up the tradition.

“Hey, Meg you got a one Matthew here to see you.” Anna turns giving Megan an exasperated look.

“Ah, yes um, I am coming.” Meg calls out and wipes her hands with her cloth walking to the register. Matthew was dressing his usual suite and tie. He is a top notch lawyer for the courts. He seems to have a crush on Megan but she just doesn’t see him that way. He is always so… over the top and smug. He treats the people around him as if they are small and unimportant.

Megan Smiles reluctantly at him, the thoughts of him being just like Gaston in Beauty and the Beast. That was her favorite book to read when she had down time. She must have read it a million times by now. Megan was always eager to learn, getting her hands on any bit of knowledge she could. Matthew was always trying to get her to go out with him but she just was not interested in his male ego and intellectual shortcomings.

When she first moved here and put in an offer on her café, he was there trying to get her to hire him to ensure that she get a good deal on the foreclosure. She declined him several times as she had already had a lawyer and real-estate agent. He was so pushy and overbearing, yet here he is every morning like clockwork. He does the same thing every day minus the weekends. He doesn’t work on the weekends.

“Hi, Megan how has your morning been?” He asks giving a smug grin as he leaned against the counter.

“My morning was the same as it has been. Busy and bustling with customers, you know such as yourself.”  Megan mustered up a small smile. She tried to be pleasant with him as much as possible but it was hard to keep up her composure.

“Well, I have two tickets to the theater and….” He was thankfully cut off by the multiple officers that came in.

“MEG! How are ya? We are gonna do our usual but we need it on the double!” Frank calls out to her. He and the boys come in every Friday as if it is a ritual. Meg sighs in relief and gives Matthew his things and shrugs to him.

“I have to go. It was nice seeing you Matthew.” He looked exasperated at her as she turned her back to him.

“She still won’t take you up on that date huh?” Frank gives Matthew a soft smile and shakes his head. “She is one heck of a beauty for a human ain’t she?” He pats the bewildered lawyer and walks off. Matthew was an elf. He had never thought about Megan being a human. He looked around and realized that everyone here comes from different walks of life.

It was only minutes before she had everything packed up and ready for the officers to take and head off to the station. Anna took her spot back at the front waiting on the next customer to come in. Anna leaned herself over the counter and allowed herself to flip through a magazine she had been trying to read for a week now. Meg could not help but smile at her hair brained friend while she kneads the dough for the bread she was making.

Anna was just about to grab herself a coffee when a man came in. She had never seen him here before. She watched him as he strode over to the counter and started his order. He was dressed in purple and his eyes were odd eyed, one green and on a yellow color.  He was handsome, rugged with his unshaven face and his well-traveled demeanor.  Anna was thrown off when he asked her to change his drink to cider. She blanched, confused and looked up at the menu. There it was sitting at the bottom written in red.

“Meg…. We uh, we have cider now?” She called to the back and Megan shook her head. Wiping her hands clean she headed to the front, her eyes on her hands to ensure she dusted them of well enough to touch the front.

“Yes…” She looked up and stopped. The man at the counter was no one she had ever seen before. He must be new here. He was a peculiar man, purple jacket and his eyes were two every beautiful colors. One of his eyes matched her own green ones. His stubble gave him a rugged look but behind that she could tell he looked stressed and tired. He was probably here to relax and take a load off.

“Yes, I put that up this morning actually. I have it ready in the back, Anna would you mind grabbing some for our guest.” Meg moved to the register to ring him up. He was intriguing and had caught her attention. He was not from around here and yet he walked in here as if he had always lived here. He even said he was feeling nostalgic.

“That will be 3.25.” Meg looks up at him from under her lashes and gives him a soft smile. This was when she  reached under the counter and pulled out a paper for him. “Here is the paper and ….feeling nostalgic  are we? Did you use to live here?” She gave a soft giggle trying to make small talk. It didn’t take long for Anna to return with his cider. Megan pulled a chocolate crescent from the warmer and placed it in a bag.

“On the house….” She said and backed up letting Anna finish giving him his things. Meg walked to side and began to re stock the drinks that had been taken from this morning. She always did love new customers.

  10. Kathrine and her team stormed their way through the thick greens and tough vines. She was hoping that getting though all the traps in the cave...tomb whatever it was would be easy. She knew it would not be because it never is but one could hope. Looking at the sun setting she knew that they would have to set up camp and sleep until the morning light rises again. Kat barked out her orders and then set her things down, claiming a spot on a small patch of grass. A smile found her lips as she watched her team bicker about who would sleep where and what they would make for dinner.

Kat did not have much of an appetite so she settled with setting her tent up and getting ready to sleep for the night. She knew that she would have to wake up early and start another long hike to the ruins that held a very powerful relic. Once she had finished setting up, her head hit the makeshift pillow and she started looking over the map she was following. Kat wanted to make sure they were going the fastest route possible. Her eyes squinting as she looked over every possible route. This was going to make or break how many days it would take her to get to the temples ruins.

So, I don't normally demand anything from anyone because I feel that it prevents them from letting out their full potential in creating a masterpiece and also limits their ability to let their imagination run wild..... however today I am.

I am in search of someone who can write at least one page on word document as a response (unless circumstances calls for shorter posts such as dialog scenes ect.). I would like for them to be able to handle the work load as well. If you have 17 other responsibilities and it takes you more than a week to respond to me then you may not be a good fit. Also if you feel that your writing is far more superior than others because you use big fancy words and every bit of your grammar and punctuation's are correct and you never, I mean NEVER make mistakes... I might not be the best person to get into bed with. I mean obviously we don't want one lining, no grammar, run on sentences kinda people but at the same time we can not expect everyone to have immaculate writing skills. I am not perfect and I miss spell words as well as miss punctuation's. I am even guilty of using she, he and her way too much! I know this! I am working on it! I feel that you just need to understand that not everyone can be on the same level as you and you should probably give them a break.

Now that brings me to this..... If your partner is giving details and trying their best than that is all you should care about! Do not ghost them because you think that their skill level is not good enough for you. Again there are people who are absolutely horrible and just you cant even! trust me I know! I am just saying that for the ones who are really trying and they really are not half bad....give them a chance. I know several of my partners are 10 times better than me and I strive to write better for them! They make me want to be better. So, I implore you to give people a chance.

One last thing.... communication is key! Your Roleplays should make you so excited that you cant wait to read what happens next and you should be so inspired that even in the slumps or boring parts you are eager to write back.... If this isn't happening then I hope that you speak up and talk with your partner to try and get it straight!

RANT OVER! I still love you all.

Now! I am the type of writer that stays in Romance/ horror, syfi, magic, ect. I am better at those plus it always make the plot and plot twist so much more juicy.

I rarely play male roles but I am not against it! So... if anyone is up for a roleplay I am all ears but keep in mind....

  12. The darkness was all consuming considering the day that she had. Her dream was now so vivid she was unaware that she was dreaming. She was there scrubbing the floor she was getting another blood stain out of the hard wood floors. Her focus was on ensuring there was no trace of blood to be found. She was doing this to protect him.

He was now there walking up to her. She looked up to him and smiled brightly, he smiled back to her and gave a quick wave. Elizabeth stood up and wiped her hands on her dress. She shook her head and gave a soft laugh. Her eyes looking deep into Aarons.

“Aaron you have made another mess.” She gave another chuckle.

“Im sorry love…. You know I cannot help it….” He gave a chuckle of his own.

“I know…. That’s what I love about you. Don’t you worry about a thing, I will make sure there is not a spec of evidence.” Elizabeth smiled and Aaron pulled her close his hands holding her tight while another rested on her cheek.

There came loud banging from all around. Elizabeth’s brows furrowed as she began to look around. Aaron pulled her face back to him. His smile still there but his mouth moved. He was trying to tell her something. His face became grim and she felt her heart rate increase. She shook her head trying to tell him she couldn’t hear him over the loud banging.

    “What?” She called out.

“Wak..p ve….” His voice was distorted and she could not understand him.

“Aaron I can’t hear you…..” She called out loudly to him.

“Wake…..uvp” Still the words were distorted by the loud noises.

“WAKE UP LOVE!” His voice came through loud and clear this time causing her gasp and jump, sitting up in her bed.

Elizabeth could hear the loud thunderous noises coming from the wall that separated her room from Lord Aarons’ room.  Her heart began to beat even faster as she realized something was wrong. Something or someone was in his room and he was trying to fight them off. She knew she had to help or do something.

With a quick motion Elizabeth threw her duvet back and jumped out of her bed. She did not worry about appearance as she grabbed her thin white silk robe and threw it on, not bothering to close it. She was too worried about Aaron to worry about him seeing her in her little white sleeping gown and her curly hair down and in a mess.

Her bare feet padded across the hard wood floor that she had just dreamed about until she reached his door. With no warning she threw it open and rushed into the room heading to the source of the noise. On her way to help Aaron fight off whatever was attacking she grabbed a candle stick and held it up as she rounded the corner to the deeper parts of his room. That is when she saw it, him…throwing things about and monstrous growls coming from his throat. She watched as he knocked down his book shelf and threw furniture. She gasped as something went flying past her at an outrageous speed.

“My Lord!  Are you okay?” She called out as she yelped, ducking as another object flew past her.

  13. Elizabeth expected Aaron to be angry with her, even yell or hit her for evading his space at dinner but nothing. She had entered his room and served him his desert with nothing not even a warning not to touch him again. Though she wasn’t so sure he really cared. He did not seem to care when he strip down bare naked in front of her and acted as if it was a normal everyday thing.  Then again this man she was looking at was no ordinary man. He may be fine with looking but do not touch.

She had been waiting to be struck by him or punished in some sort of way but nothing had come. Elizabeth turned and began back to his door, her heart pounding in her chest as she fought not to turn and look at him. Something she thought would never happen caught her off guard. She had never expected the words he just uttered to come from those perfectly sculpted lips. Her world began to spin causing her to stop abruptly at his door. She felt as though the breath had been knocked from her lungs and she found it hard to swallow, her now dry mouth causing her discomfort.

“Thank you, Elizabeth” His words play over and over in her mind. The sound of the words, low and thoughtfully dictated. It caused a shiver to run down her spine.

Elizabeth turned her head softly, her chin touching her shoulder as she looked back at Aaron. She did this for one to make sure it was truly him and two she just couldn’t resist the urge to look upon his perfection.  The words that found her full lips next were simple, soft and a complete shock to her.

“The pleasure is mine, my Lord.” Her head slowly faced forward again and she lifted her shaking hand, opening the door and making her exit.

She had managed to make it halfway down the hall before she let the breath she had been holding out. She grabbed her chest trying to calm her breathing and think things through. He was being nice…too nice. He was planning something …but what?

Elizabeth leaned against the wall and calmed herself down before heading back to the kitchen. She was surprised when she saw that it had been cleaned and tidied up. Her eyes roamed around the whole room before she decided it was as she would have done it. This caused her to sigh in relief, walking to the cake and cutting her a slice. Elizabeth pulled out a chair and took a bite of the moist, flavorful cake. Her Caramel eyes closed as she savored it, letting the icing melt on her tongue causing a soft sigh to escape her lips.

Elizabeth finished up with her sweet treat and cleaned her dish. She wasted no time hurrying to her room and quickly dressed for bed. She was tired and on edge, waiting for Aaron to make his move. He was setting her up or maybe setting a trap so that she would crumble at his feet. She wasn’t sure but for now she knew she would just sleep.

It didn’t take long for her eyes to close and for her to drift off into the darkness.

  14. The morning turned into evening faster then Kat realized it would. Calling a halt, everyone stopped and began to scavenge around. She needed to stretch her legs and get out of those cramped vehicles. Smiling to her companions she walked into the thick brush looking for any reason to really stretch her legs. This reason... she wanted to see how far into the jungle they had managed to get.

"Hey, Kat.... I think you should come an see this...." she could hear Narobi's voice calling to her. She reluctantly turned around and headed back to the vehicles.

    "Yeah, what is it...."

"It looks like the path narrows out sooner than expected. We should go ahead and unload the horses. We can send the others back and get a bigger jump."

"I agree..." she said this slowly as she looked over the map, biting on her lower lip.

It didn't take long before everyone unloaded their horse and packed the other horses with supplies.  Honestly Kat was relieved that she no longer had to spend any more time in that cramped car.  The trees were filled with beautiful sounds that you could not hear over the loud roar of the engines.

In total there were five people along with her. Each of them had their own job and talent. Aaron and Kat were the only humans in the group. Nairobi he was strong and very good at protecting the group. His power is raw and untamed....but he only uses it when he absolutly has to. Vira was an amazing huntress. She could provide a meal for them in seconds. Also she was stealthy and helped out when pirates and bandits tried to steal their bounty. She would kill them before they even knew they were dead.

Aaron he is the navagator. He is amazing with a map and the stars. He can get them pretty much where ever they wanted or needed to go. Kade... he is an amazing strategist. His plans are flawless and rarely fail. He has got a pretty nasty demon that comes out to play too.

This was going to be an amazing find.....

  15. After the incident with a rather sexy prick and bottomless drinks, everyone retired to their rooms to settle down for a good nights rest. Kat showered washing away the dirt and grim from the dance floor they were on. Once she was finished she stepped out of the water and wrapped her towel around her and began to her bed. It did not take long for her to slip on her blush colored lace gown and then slip into bed. Her eyes closed with a slam and she was out the moment her body heat spread to warm her underneath the covers. She was ready and anticipating her journey in the morning.

Katherine slept like a baby that night and was up bright and early the next morning. She dressed in some tan shorts and a red tank with her weapons attached to her and Everyone was ready to leave by 6. All of her vans and items needed for the voyage were pack and ready to go no later than 6:30. Katherine gave the signal and everyone hopped into their vehicles and set out ready for the big journey.

  16. Arriving to the hotel was a relief. Katherine was ready to get a few drinks and catch up with her old friends. She smiled to Narobi when the car stopped and she could hear the loud chatter from the people who were staying at the hotel. This was going to be fun…

Hopping out of the car and opening the trunk Kat grabbed her bags and started inside of the enormous hotel. The lights were perfectly dim and the music from the dance hall was in full swing. Aaron smiled and gave a nod of approval as he walked to the desk to check them in.

Kat handed Narobi her bags and went to look for Vira and Kade. She did not have to look too far when the two started walking toward her. Vira’s deep purple hair was slicked back and her horns curved back. She was wearing a dress that fit her very well. Kade was in a suit his phone to his ear. He was probably hashing out a business deal. His black hair hung around his face and his red eyes stared right at Kat. She couldn’t help but blush. She had always found Kade attractive. It sucked that he was only into men. Vira on the other hand she was always hitting on Katherine. Vira was a womans woman.

Kat lunged forward and hugged the two. It was so nice to finally have everyone back together. Kade picked her up and spun her around. Kat’s long curly black hair flowed around her as she closed her eyes covering her Jade green eyes. Her laugh was light and whimsical.

“I have missed you two dearly!” She said as Kade put her down. Kade was what humans seemed to call a Vampire… he was just a demon who lived on blood. Vira she is a demon of chaos, a very talented fighter and an amazing strategist.

“We have missed you to Katarina!” Kade gushed and waved to Narobi.

Aaron walked over to the group and flashed all of our key cards. Handing them out he began to go over who had what room. They all preferred a specific room, picky that bunch was. Once the cards were passed out they all started chatting and laughing. They had not seen each other in over a year and a half.

“Ok so please tell me we are getting wasted tonight!” Kade shook his shoulders in excitement.

“I believe that it is tradition for us to now get wasted on the first night of a new exhibition.” Vira huffed. She was always annoyed with Kade when he joked as if he did not already know we were getting wasted.

“That my friend is true! This is in fact our tradition.” Narobi gave a soft chuckle and patted Kade on the back.

“Alright, I say we head to the Purple Frog and get our drink on!” Aaron called out and they all started laughing.”

As Kat turned to head toward the bar a man spoke up and asked about the relic. Kat’s smile fell as he began on a bout the piece. She had to fight not to roll her eyes. He was a demon now that she looked closely. He was tall but not exceedingly tall, his build could be seen under the suite he was wearing. When he directed his question to her she cocked her head and gave a soft snort.

“Yeah, I think you should talk to the front desk about that.” Kat gave a small laugh and walked past the demon her hips swaying as she did. The others give the man a stern look as they followed after her.

“That relic is mine… so don’t bother.” She called out as made her way to the restaurant they were going to eat and get a little tipsy at.

Heading into the hotels dining area she was greeted by a hostess and they were all seated in the bar area. Everyone excited and famished. It did not take long for the waiter to come around and start taking orders. Kat ordered a peach Bellini to start her night off right.

to head to dinner. She wanted to have a bit of fun before the work began.

  17. The water felt refreshing on her skin as she swam through the glistening liquid. The sun beating down on her giving an abundant amount of energy to her. It had been a while since she was able to relax seeing as how she was always traveling. The work she divulged in was dangerous, scary, fun and exciting but every now and then…being home was needed. She as ready to take a load off and maybe indulge in the finer things in life.

Coming up out of the water she met the feet of her butler. “The phone Miss. Keen” His gruff voice put a smile on her face.

“Ah, and who might it be Raymond?” She gave a quick hop and sat at the edge of the pool, taking her phone and placing it to her ear.

    “This is Keen…”

“Miss. Keen this is Alan Ho. I wanted to let you know that I have a lead on the object we discussed all those years ago.”

“Years ago? Darling you make me sound old. It was only three years ago.”

“Yes Miss. Keen I did not mean any ill will.”

“Oh, I know that Alan I am only joking. So what information do you have for me?”

“There is a new lead. I had been doing the research that you had asked of me and I found something interesting.”

“Oh, and what is this interesting news…?”

“Well I was looking into the location that everyone had been searching and realized they were in the wrong spot. If you look at the dialect and replace the two symbols then you get that the actual location is not in Egypt but the remote location of Tiotewachan.”

    “Your completely sure of this?”

“Yes, I was thinking that if you leave now you should make it there before anyone else figures this out. I am running a tap block but I don’t know how long it lasted and if anyone tapped the phone to get the information.”

    “That’s alright love I am leaving now…”

    “Miss Keen…. Good luck.”

Closing the phone with a  snap she threw it on the ground and motioned Raymond to stomp on it. Standing she began toward her home to pack for her journey to Tiotewachan. She was going to get her hands on this relic even if it killed her.

“Raymond tell the choppers to be ready to go in three hours. Have all of my things ready to go and make sure my team is assembled and ready to go.”

“Yes ma’am, would you like me to arrange your usual stays?”

“Yes… actually I think I would very much like that.”

“Very well…” Raising the phone to his ear he began to set up her hotel stay. “Yes, I would like a suite for Miss. Keen. Yes, Katherine Keen, she will be acquiring the room for as long as a week maybe longer. Yes, keep the room available. She will be staying for a haul.”

Katherine grabbed the small things she needed for her trip and began out the door. She had been waiting a very long time for this. Her parents died trying to find the relic. She was left to herself at the age of 14 and she never understood why this thing was so important to them. When she turned 18 and she inherited all of their fortune and wealth of information she came to realize just why this relic was so important.

Now she was going to get it and place it in the spot it deserved to be in. She was going down as the woman who apprehended the most deadly weapon known to man. This was going to be a very fun adventure. She was itching to get to the site and find out exactly what she had been hunting all these years.

The sound of the chopper preparing to land echoed in her head set as she looked around the landing site. People were scrambling about as the chopper descended reading itself to land. She was aware that her team was busy preparing but she was wondering why they seemed so frantic. The moment the helicopter hit the land she hopped off. Her long white  hair began to whip around her as the chopper blades came to a roaring stop. Her red eyes roamed over the people that were packing and getting her things ready.

“Miss. Keen I will take you to the hotel.” A voice came calling from the small hut that sat just beside the food and water. Her frown turned into a small smile as a tall black man came from the hut.

“Nasabi!” She called out and ran into the man’s arms. He was her best mate. He went with her to every extraction. He was also her body guard and most trusted friend.

“Where is Aaron? Is he here yet?”

“No, not yet he should be here any moment.”

“Perfect let’s all have dinner at the hotel! All on me!”

It didn’t take long for Aaron to arrive and the voyage to the Estrella Rojo to begin. The ride was riveting in a sense. The laughter and then strategic planning to get wasted on their first night with the rest of the group was only the beginning because after tonight, the real work began and it was not going to be easy trekking through Cuba on a hunch of switching two symbols around.
