  1. In the city of Weland, on the Continent of Terrenus, an event would happen which would make World News. That said, it is not something big, like a war or immediate mass deaths. It is not something that can be fought by swords and spell, at least not mainly and not effectively. No, it is something so small....yet so deadly. And it is starting now. A Virus....a Plague...has occured... The setting starts at night. The hospitals had recently getting some excess activity, and requested some help from various doctors groups hoping they would send doctors to assist their overload. After all, they understand the dangers of having an overworked hospital staff. After some work, or maybe resting from their travels after just arriving in the city, a group of individuals arrives at the Saezaeshita Hot Spring and Onsen, a popular and well known establishment with well known healing and rejuvenating powers. Perhaps they desired to take a dip to cool off after work, or to prepare themselves for extended work hours, or just wanted to rest up comfortably, but this social envirornment is considered safe and healthy. And while they are bathing and resting in a safe place, unaware at first more and more people are falling to some new sort of disease. And soon enough, in the middle of the night while everyone is asleep, a messanger arrives delivering an urgent report to one of the doctors staying there: An Illness has been confirmed, and its spreading through the city. Stage 1 of the DIsease: Fevers, running noses, coughing, some paling of the skin, and dizziness are the main symptoms. Stage 2: After a few hours to an entire day, they will begin expereincing hallucinations, have headaches, and in some cases their body produces a strange parasite inside their own bodies. Stage 3: A few more hours to another day later, and they will begin to enter psychosis while any magical or supernatural powers they have may begin to run amok. Many give into darkness and strangeness and will assault, normally and otherwise, any other non-infected being they find. IF a parasite developed, they will actively try to beat down and infect the healthy. The parasite has to be removed through emergency surgery mainly, with alternative methods maybe being possible. Stage 4: Once they reach this stage, they begun to convulse and have major Organ Failures. If a parasite exists, it takes over and fuses with the body, absorbing as much of the memories and information the host originally had as it can. However, they quickly lose their ability to be infectious after this stage. Please note that as they do not rise from the dead, this is NOT a zombie plague. The virus can spread through fluids or skin to skin contact. It can also be spread through coughs and sneezes. It is possible to take measures against being infected, but one has to work quickly and ensure that the methods remain fresh and operational. Additionally, the virus is immune against being cured magically, but is less resistant against anything that helps prevent the spread of viruses in the first place, like a purification field. Here are the Phases I have in mind for the RP: Phase 1: Social gathering and get together where the characters can meet and talk to each other before the action starts. Phase 2: After being woken up and alerted to the situation, the characters all try to work together to help identify, analyze, and deal with the infection, teaming up with the authorities and hospitals. Altercations with panicked people and rioters as a Quarantine begins to be established. Some more rowdy or heavily infected people begin to get violent. Phase 3: As the situation gets more stressful and tragic, and some of the Quarentines fail, the virus causes more people to go out of control and those with the Parasite mutation actively try to undermine the protagonists and their allies while also trying to spread the infection. Phase 4+: Most likely, it will end with the situation contained in Weland and the virus being stopped. However, in consideration of player choices and possible outcomes, there are different endings, such as the Virus spreading to other cities and so on. There is a need for Doctors and anyone with medical knowledge, as well as Adventurers who can help keep the peace and protect the doctors while they work. Please note that due to the direness of the situation, even if they arrive late any help would still be appreciated and it is open to join.
  2. Freedom in the Innocence of Avarice ouse Dali emerges ever farther from the sands of history, golden family roots finding light and thriving in the cracked dirt. Word of seamless Northtrail leadership and culturally privy Goldcourt tongues spread like wildfire. Attributes, members, and associates of the family’s branches were soon to be found in almost as many places as word of them could be. With growing recognition of the family, as with growing recognition of anything, came a swell of those who held house Dali in ill rapport. While reception of the family was largely well met, the world must always pockets of dissolution. The culturally privy could be mistaken for conniving, the air of leadership snide. What is this? Avarice Goldjest, considered a connoisseur of fashion in his circle of family and friends, had taken liberties with his father’s small fortune and gone travelling the Terran countryside with a couple friends. Well, he had come to village outside Dougton when he found himself accosted for his effeminate attire. Avarice stood up for himself boldly, flavoring his rebuttal with a couple spicy words he thought might add to his masculinity. Unfortunately for Avarice, the person he had exchanged verbal fisticuffs with was the village elder. His friends were not of enough fortitude to defend him when a group of luddite farmers in a recovering village called Tormo had locked him up for the slew of pompous insults; they were, however, man enough to return to House Dali and request help for their friend’s unfortunate blunder. In addition to a warning about the happenings upon Avarice, his friends tell of a large wolf prowling the area that attacks Tormo at night. Belos Titansinger, high priest and lawman of House Dali, answers the call to trial for Avarice’s freedom with two apprentice attorneys or journeymen he finds along the way. Together, the three will venture to Tormo and, do trial with the primitive folk village’s high counsel, and do what it takes to get their loudmouthed cousin back. Just how they will accomplish this feat may entail more danger and surprise than first meets the eye. What do we need? 1-2 people: Join Belos and save Avarice to advance in legal standing in house Dali; see what you can find in the blossoming village of Tormo; attempt to gain favor with the high counsel of Tormo, with Avarice, or Belos. @Diremast @KittyvonCupcake @ethela penna @Witches Brew (All other Dali family members tagged just in case they want to participate)
  3. Try-outs for Bad Guy Infamy mysterious and powerful criminal syndicate is hosting a try-outs of sorts; a trial mission into the land of Taen for the chance to be inducted into this immaculate trade. Taen, too peaceful? Nonsense! Or at least, that’s what someone might have said 2 years ago. Today though, there is a certain constituent of the criminal class who searches out people and places like this. Someone who is too complacent, too inactive or inattentive, can get their whole world shaken up like a snowglobe! Even some who keep their fingers wrapped tight around their wallets can find themselves shaken up and broke any day. Mortimer's Research Laboratory of Extradimensional Matters and Magical-Affected Physics in the land of Taen fell under a certain someone’s scrutiny when it accepted the yolk of much of Taen’s main city, Lunaris’s scientific innovation. Furthermore, Mortimer’s established itself as the city’s lead apothecary. His advances in medicine and the distribution of pharmaceuticals has attracted the attention of a doctor named Theodore Alexander Roxyer-Rollins Amantis. He has come with four associates, representatives from a pharmaceutical firm called Catalyst Medicinal Corp. in search of employment at Mortimer’s and a contract between Mortimer’s and Catalyst. Good fortune willing, Amantis and the Catalyst representatives hope to establish a pharmacy supplied exclusively with Catalyst medicine. @amenities and @-Lilium- pose as pharmaceutical representatives from Catalyst while Amantis talks them up to Mortimer. What Do I Want? (any of the below) 1-2 Players: Pretend to be pharmaceutical interns with high ranking members of the criminal syndicate and scope out other pharmacies in Taen, then convince them to sell Catalyst medicine; secure permits from Taen quality control centers for Catalyst meds to be distributed in Taen; submit article to the local paper about how Catalyst medicine saved you or a loved one from illness; etc. The effectiveness of the extra 1-2 Players may allow one or both of them a comfortable rank in the mysterious and powerful criminal organization.

  5. Hello everyone! So one of my favorite role plays I made on here was a quest to take back the world from a tyrant demon: A'rrazaah. Unfortunately, that roleplay died out and I want to make a remastered version with more people. Same story, just different people. So, is anyone interested? Here's the original.
  6. Amalia is a savage land. It sits on the back of a giant hermit crab. It bears a mountain of infinite heights. It carries upon it a race of hiveminded pygmy who could destroy men in a 1-on-1 wrestling match. The Ulway are the people to discover. These infant-like creatures have just as much sentience as man, only they wield it as one racial body instead of one divided by the ideals of multiple individual minds. The Ulway work together. They are not hateful of Terran people, as they have met several of them, but they know little of them. The Ulway are, to speak respectfully, susceptible to new businesses. While they are an intelligent people, they lack understanding of the economy under which Terrenus works. The values of the Ulway, instead of lying in currency like gold and silver, lay in goods like hides and new types of foods or animals indigenous to Terrenus. Juyst as the Ulway are a new discovery to Terrenus, their island rising out of the crushing ocean depths less than a year ago, the Terrans are a wonder to the Ulway. There is so much to do here! Establish godly power among the Ulway The Ulway worship a man named the Ginger God. Go to Amalia and find the Ginger God, and challenge his position to join the pantheon of Amalia's gods. Start a Business on Amalia! Amalia is a tropical island with a massive, volcanic mountain in its center. It is a veritable paradise waiting for the picking by resorts all natures. Create your own species! Due to being fastened to the ocean floor by elaborate machinery, Amalia has evolved separately from Valucre for at least hundreds of years. As such, it has developed its own creatures and plants! The general theme for these flora and fauna is an amalgamation between biology and technology. Below are listed examples of this fusion for your own reference when creating your very own species! 1) Millibyte (insect) - Millipede-sized creatures with golden limbs and and silicon bodies that are able to carry data and transmit both biological and technological viruses. 2) Edafos Oplopanax Pagis (EH-tha-fohs oh-PLOH-pan-aks payEEss) A.K.A. Pagis (plant) - Rarely seen and unfriendly forest inhabitant. Technically a terrestrial vine, Edafos uses cleverly browned edges and cracked skin to masquerade as a dying arboreal vine. On the ground, it uses flexion and contraction to shift loose sand and earth, forming a pit, in a method similar to the trapdoor spider. Its ends dangle into the pit and, when its unwitting victim steps on the seemingly 'dead' vine and falls into its trap, typically the entire length of the vine falls atop it. From that point, Edafos' significant thorns (measuring upward of 4" when mature) puncture its victim and the vine attempts, again through its unique flexion and contraction mechanisms, to further ensnare its victim. Escape is possible, but extremely painful, and the long-term effects of Edafos' thorns are unknown. 3) Yellow Calquartz trees (crystal) - Mt. Ichthys is covered in naturally forming trees of crystal that seem clear, but at nighttime release light similar to sunlight shining through water that brightens much of Amalia. Guidelines for Creature Submission - 1+ page thread detailing the discovery of this creature - Title and one paragraph description of the created creature so I can add them to Amalia Lore!!! Do anything else! Amalia is a deveoping island. As such, it is open to any type of growth! You need not listen to my suggestions if you have read over Amalia Lore and want to do anything I didn't list. PM me or post here with any ideas!

  8. [For the impatient, skip to the next words in bold to get the gist of this quest opportunity] I would like to ask you a question (and you don't have to be joining this thread to answer): How easy do you think it is to fight a pack of wolves? Ponder it for a moment, and really think about your response. If would be easy right? People have done it in real life all the time. Now consider the following situation: You are an adventurer — trapped several stories underground beneath a frozen city in the dead of winter, remnants of buildings ravaged by some past calamity. You, along with six others, are in the heart of enemy grounds. How many are there? Five? Ten? Fifteen? Twenty? You would wish that were the case, but in actuality, there are over a thousand, ravenous wolves lurking in the shadows, remnants of the disaster which befell the city which have made these ruins there home. Over the past year, they've gestated, growing in number, strength, and in intelligence. They aren't a pack of bloodthirsty animals anymore: they are a system of highly capable beasts whose sole purpose is to kill you, or worse. Trying to wipe them all out at once with wide-range magic didn't work — it just brought more of them to you. Splitting up didn't work either — those times you split, you never saw the others again. These white wolves are cunning beasts, and they don't attack blindly. They'll separate you like sheep from a herd, strike when you are at your most vulnerable. It's easy for them — you are in their home after all. These warpacks are led by towering, unnatural, monstrous wolves, so white in color, they fade into the snow itself, and if you were to defeat one, your name would most likely be recorded in the annals of Imperial South for your accomplishment — that is, if you get back. Rumors have it that there is more to these 'simplistic' beasts other than to maim or kill. Clearly, there are other forces behind the growing number of these beasts. Even as intelligent as they are, they are too organized. Too cunning. Too daring. Sightings have shown packs wandering farther and farther from their den, doing things that they've never done before like snatching men and women from their homes. But adventurers don't care. As a mounting threat in this ruined city grows, will you just stand by and watch? * * * So, suppose after that, you think this is all still trivial. Would you like to test your theory? This quest is a continuation of another quest I started in the summer which was taking on the Whispernight Quest in Cobran, Genesaris, but you don't need any prior knowledge to hop in. Just know we are diving into a beast-infested town, with a small party, in the dead of winter, where everything is trying to kill you. The goal? Find the source of the abnormal growth in wolf attacks and abductions. As custom, I shall be leading this adventure with carefully crafted NPCs and enemies, as well as a few characters of my own. Combat will not be easy — bring a character you aren't attached to, I assure you that killing these wolves will be less than easy. During the last quest, people scoffed at the wolves, yet one lost and arm, and the other almost lost her life. For reference, here is a list of things I usually go by when running these quests which you may find useful when deciding if this quest is right for you (my guide). I hope to see you join me in this little adventure, and I promise you... There will be cookies: If you don't join... 【 = ◈ ︿ ◈. = 】← sad face So see you there here ?
  9. Dear fellow citizens, I have thought that is was best to hop right into an RP but none truly suited me. That is why I have created "The Quest for Enlightenment". It is a fairly different quest. You will learn the way of the monk. I will not say what the "way of the monk is but by doing to the levels of the quest in succession you may join the ranks of the Island Monks. I am looking for a successor for that is my duty as the last surviving monk of my village. *Out of RP* NOTE: This will be a lax RP and I am not some screen hog. That being said once you say what you want to say, just let it be and I will get back to you in about an hour. I know that is this is kind of sucky bit I am focused on school right now so... live with it. Anyways, DM's open for registration. You can do the quest with others. To apply just fill out the form: ____________________________ Form: Are you willing to wait a bit for each response? (Yes/No) Are you willing to work in a group with others? (Yes/No) ((Saying no is ok but if you say yes I will start with you earlier)) Which time zone are you in? ____________________________ Anyways, Sub to PewDiePie. Destroy T-Series. Blahh Blahh Blahh
  10. Okay, so let me first state this semi confusing statement. 1: This is not a school RP. 2: This RP will feature a school. Basically, in ways it both is and isn't a school RP. What my idea is basically a group of young characters that happen to be or become friends and classmates getting involved in one another, only instead of typical drama one might expect, they end up getting involved in things like Terrorist plots, investigating ghost stories, dealing with pan-dimensional bounty hunters seeking new and unique trophys, dealing with various dangerous and powerful monsters, saving the day, sometimes causing some chaos, getting into fights with seasoned warriors, and practicing and perfecting their supernatural and magical abilities while also sometimes using them in unnatural ways (for example, while exploring a mountain, suddenly using a combination of Earth Magic, Water Magic, and Fire Magic to build a hot springs and then taking a dip, or maybe something more simple and casual, like summoning a monster to ride to school to avoid being late, or such). Basically, it would be a variety of RP down the line, with some comedic and casual moments as well as plot and intense moments. It would probably be on Terranus somewhere, still looking at cities but if anyone has a suggestion that would be awesome. RIght now, considering a place near the ocean, like Casper, but still looking through stuff. We can probably work something out about ages, but this is the character I plan to use right now. Anyways, please let me know if you are interested!
  11. An aspiring young musician, Brydom realizes that to accomplish his lifelong dream he must learn more than what he has taught himself in his small community. He must go out and find inspiration and possibly riches to further his ambition. Possibly form a jazz band and take on the world of Valucre by storm. He starts with very little but his compact saxophone, Stan, and a makeshift gun, both of which he made himself.
