  1. Setting: The island of Corinth, Andelusia City, Near the Beginning of Spring, two days after the death of Amelia Silverheart. Genre: Mystery, Horror Objective: To investigate the strange killing of Amelia Silverheart and discover the culprit of the crime. Danger Level: (Medium) Something had scared the victim so terribly that their heart gave out from fright. If the perpetrator is still in the area, then whoever is looking into the death may themselves be in danger. Reward: A monetary reward of a modest sum as well as political favor of small proportions for anyone who has any information that leads to solving the peculiar case of the death of Amelia Silverheart. Preferred Story Arc: The preferred Story Arc for this particular thread is for the various writers involved to be part of the investigation regarding the death of Amelia Silverheart. During this time, three people of interest are named that may have more information about the death or even responsibility for it. From a descending order there is Elsera Elludoria, elven diplomat from the Terran Empire of Odin Haze, come to Ursa Madeum to establish an embassy within the city. Then there is the medicine woman name Olga Earthblood, a witch who had recently moved from the wilds into the city to sell special herbs and potions to those looking to enhance their lives through magic. Finally there is the old knight Sir Darrell Bodinger, a veteran of the war for Ursa Madeum, who spends his days drinking at the local taverns. Through deductive reasoning and searching for clues, the writers will figure out which of the three people are in fact responsible for the death of Amelia Silverheart. Once that is done, they will be rewarded and sent on their way, all the while the true killer is revealed, and the mystery is truly solved to the audience instead of the characters themselves. What roles am I looking for?: Characters more suited to interaction than combat, preferrably. This is going to be more of a whodunit instead of a fight, so I'm definitely looking for those who chose charisma as their main Stat. Expectations: Good communication, cooperation and civility amongst the writers who are willing to join. It certainly won't be a very slow thread but I also don't want people bugging each other for posts, either. Aiming for at the very least two pages Created Opportunities: With the killer gone, the people of Andelusia can feel safe again, but there are still questions left unanswered. The greatest and most perplexing of all being, how does the gnarled old tree near the palace fit into the mystery itself?
  2. Who likes festivals!? It's been awhile since I've seen a festival thread or mass parties. Now since I don't wish to have a festival on Valucre, mainly because I don't know how to go about doing it. However since I have my very own Crescent City which is known for it's festivals, parades, and fun. Crescent City is an extraordinarily unique city. It's culture, people, and outstanding friendliness is what makes it known for it's amazing sense of fun. The city officials in charge of travel and magic had finally done it. They made universal travel happen finally! So in honor of this achievement they decided to hold a festival. A universal festival. This festival, unlike the former ones, will be multi-day event and go through the entire days it's active. Crescent City is a very unique city with its style and design. It is inside a magic bubble that once inside the enormous city appears in the style you are used to. Everything is the same throughout, the size of the buildings, the streets, the capital building, the coliseum. Which means if a forest creature is in the city it'll appear more nature styled but someone from a more mechanical style city is next to them they'll see it in a more machine style. Now what makes the city so friendly is that it's not known for violence (unless it's in good fun of course) but rather it's diverse group of people who inhabit within. It ranges from semi/humanoid races to aliens to demons and angels. The start of the festival begins with a portal. Millions upon millions of portals appear from seemingly thin air. Looking through the other side you see a a city. Normally you wouldn't walk through a new portal to who knows where but something entices you. A sense of wonder, fun and friendliness. Even to those of you who are considerably diabolical and evil, you feel like something is drawing you in. Though no matter who you are, you'll most likely be enticed walk through. Once you get through however, you aren't compelled anymore. It's all your decision now. Will you stay and have fun and enjoy the festivities? Maybe make new friends? Or maybe... find out about the city itself. Something about it just doesn't seem... natural. Almost as if something more sinister is going to happen. Although that might just be your imagination running wild. Or is it?

    The Plague: Weland (Open)

In the city of Weland, on the Continent of Terrenus, an event would happen which would make World News. That said, it is not something big, like a war or immediate mass deaths. It is not something that can be fought by swords and spell, at least not mainly and not effectively. No, it is something so small....yet so deadly. And it is starting now. A Virus....a Plague...has occured... The setting starts at night. The hospitals had recently getting some excess activity, and requested some help from various doctors groups hoping they would send doctors to assist their overload. After all, they understand the dangers of having an overworked hospital staff. After some work, or maybe resting from their travels after just arriving in the city, a group of individuals arrives at the Saezaeshita Hot Spring and Onsen, a popular and well known establishment with well known healing and rejuvenating powers. Perhaps they desired to take a dip to cool off after work, or to prepare themselves for extended work hours, or just wanted to rest up comfortably, but this social envirornment is considered safe and healthy. And while they are bathing and resting in a safe place, unaware at first more and more people are falling to some new sort of disease. And soon enough, in the middle of the night while everyone is asleep, a messanger arrives delivering an urgent report to one of the doctors staying there: An Illness has been confirmed, and its spreading through the city. Stage 1 of the DIsease: Fevers, running noses, coughing, some paling of the skin, and dizziness are the main symptoms. Stage 2: After a few hours to an entire day, they will begin expereincing hallucinations, have headaches, and in some cases their body produces a strange parasite inside their own bodies. Stage 3: A few more hours to another day later, and they will begin to enter psychosis while any magical or supernatural powers they have may begin to run amok. Many give into darkness and strangeness and will assault, normally and otherwise, any other non-infected being they find. IF a parasite developed, they will actively try to beat down and infect the healthy. The parasite has to be removed through emergency surgery mainly, with alternative methods maybe being possible. Stage 4: Once they reach this stage, they begun to convulse and have major Organ Failures. If a parasite exists, it takes over and fuses with the body, absorbing as much of the memories and information the host originally had as it can. However, they quickly lose their ability to be infectious after this stage. Please note that as they do not rise from the dead, this is NOT a zombie plague. The virus can spread through fluids or skin to skin contact. It can also be spread through coughs and sneezes. It is possible to take measures against being infected, but one has to work quickly and ensure that the methods remain fresh and operational. Additionally, the virus is immune against being cured magically, but is less resistant against anything that helps prevent the spread of viruses in the first place, like a purification field. Here are the Phases I have in mind for the RP: Phase 1: Social gathering and get together where the characters can meet and talk to each other before the action starts. Phase 2: After being woken up and alerted to the situation, the characters all try to work together to help identify, analyze, and deal with the infection, teaming up with the authorities and hospitals. Altercations with panicked people and rioters as a Quarantine begins to be established. Some more rowdy or heavily infected people begin to get violent. Phase 3: As the situation gets more stressful and tragic, and some of the Quarentines fail, the virus causes more people to go out of control and those with the Parasite mutation actively try to undermine the protagonists and their allies while also trying to spread the infection. Phase 4+: Most likely, it will end with the situation contained in Weland and the virus being stopped. However, in consideration of player choices and possible outcomes, there are different endings, such as the Virus spreading to other cities and so on. There is a need for Doctors and anyone with medical knowledge, as well as Adventurers who can help keep the peace and protect the doctors while they work. Please note that due to the direness of the situation, even if they arrive late any help would still be appreciated and it is open to join.

    Salvaging a shipment

Am mobile so pardon my brevity. Except don’t because this will be using brevity rules. Let me know if you don’t know what that means The premise of the thread is that my character is coming in as a private party hired to salvage a stolen shipment. The fee for recovery will be half of whatever we manage to salvage Let me know if you’re interested and a little about your character’s motivation for involvement

    To Make an Omlet...

Setting: Alethea, the Underground, clear weather, daytime. Genre: Crime Mystery Objective: To bust up a ring of smugglers who have stolen a cache of Aluran eggs from Flock Cloud-Dance. Danger level: High-(This group is dedicated with getting away with the sale of the purely innocent offspring of the Aluran people. They will not go down quietly nor will they go without a fight. Hyperion authorities have authorized that anyone looking to turn these felons in may do so dead or alive.) Reward: Large sum of gold, notoriety amongst those in the criminal underworld of Alethea, and a personal gift from Flock Cloud-Dance. Desired Story Arc: Reasonably malleable so long as it stays within the confines of the lore of the given area. Intro: Huxbert "Black Bull" Goldgrave, a recent addition into the rough and tumble world of bounty hunting. His first job, the leader of a ruthless group of smugglers known as the Snatchers, who just so happens to be a real son of a bitch of a werebear. What he was doesn't matter to the minotaur, only that sweet payoff at the end does, so he puts in the time to try and pin down their location within Alethea. That is where the other writers come in. Help or hinder Huxbert in his journey as he delves into the dark depths of the underbelly of Alethea, risking life and limb to take down this group of outlaws. Your choice determines the outcome of this story, and could very well shape the fate of lives born and unborn. What Roles Am I Looking For?: At the very least two people with each or both playing a role that I would wish to have for this quest. Your character doesn't have to meet this requirements, they are only a preference for helping to make the story go smoother. 1. Someone of neutral or good alignment to help Huxbert. 2. Someone of neutral or evil alignment to oppose Huxbert. Expectations: Good communication, an open mind for ideas and a willingness to keep disagreements civil. Created Opportunities: With the smuggling ring defeated, a question is left hanging in the air. Who were they working with, and why did they want Aluran eggs?

    The Unnaturally Gifted Children

Okay, so let me first state this semi confusing statement. 1: This is not a school RP. 2: This RP will feature a school. Basically, in ways it both is and isn't a school RP. What my idea is basically a group of young characters that happen to be or become friends and classmates getting involved in one another, only instead of typical drama one might expect, they end up getting involved in things like Terrorist plots, investigating ghost stories, dealing with pan-dimensional bounty hunters seeking new and unique trophys, dealing with various dangerous and powerful monsters, saving the day, sometimes causing some chaos, getting into fights with seasoned warriors, and practicing and perfecting their supernatural and magical abilities while also sometimes using them in unnatural ways (for example, while exploring a mountain, suddenly using a combination of Earth Magic, Water Magic, and Fire Magic to build a hot springs and then taking a dip, or maybe something more simple and casual, like summoning a monster to ride to school to avoid being late, or such). Basically, it would be a variety of RP down the line, with some comedic and casual moments as well as plot and intense moments. It would probably be on Terranus somewhere, still looking at cities but if anyone has a suggestion that would be awesome. RIght now, considering a place near the ocean, like Casper, but still looking through stuff. We can probably work something out about ages, but this is the character I plan to use right now. Anyways, please let me know if you are interested!

    A truly Grim Theatre

As you see the bodies you cannot help but cover your mouth from the putrid stench. You slowly realize that the hollow husks before you, once were people full of life. They once had their own desires, flaws and perfections. Now they are nothing more than spoiled food for the rats and maggots that now infest their bodies. You count more than twenty people, all gathered in a specific pattern with the intent to form a some kind of marking. The bodies are painted black with some kind of tar. Together they form a circle with a cross going through it. Who could orchestrate such an unspeakable act? Does the scene before you make your skin crawl, or are you left fascinated by the artistry left behind for you to witness? Whatever the purpose and whoever the culprit might be one thing was clear; it was their intent for you to see it exactly as it is displayed before you, as A truly Grim Theatre.
