  1. ... and not for the sake of a joke. Hello there, ladies and gentlemen! Today, I bring you an opportunity that's a little out of the ordinary. Tracking down and obtaining an artifact is pretty typical fare, isn't it? Group meets in a bar or something, intrepid leader susses out the details, and the merry band of adventurers is of to seek out an object of great power- but, oh, how often have you seen somebody undertake a quest to take an existing artifact and make it stronger? To take one of those objects of great power and make it another cut above? That there is precisely what I'm here for. I'm looking for a partner with which to undertake this task. But I'm not opposed to making this a group of 3 or 4, depending on how much interest I get! As this will be raising a B-class artifact to an S-class, it will be three pages long, making up the difference between the artifact class requirements. Standard norms for my threads apply: skipped if no word about posting status after three days, posting order established by the order of the first round, etc. etc.
  2. High above the beds of Lagrimosa and Genesaris, comfortable on their even plane, a world away from the world remains nestled in the air—Cierno, the floating islands. Here, water and rock share the sky, with rivers that dance with the wind and towers that stab the clouds. Yet, for all this glory and grandeur, Cierno was not so different from her cousins with regard to her makeup; she just happened to be floating above both. The latest rumor also did not speak toward Cierno in the clouds but, rather, a city on a cloud floating far beyond. The rumor, however, remains only thus. One man is determined to change that. Elgar E. Tosenrun has sent the flyers throughout Cierno and the world below, calling on adventurers to take to the clouds and find only one which may hold a city on its very surface. This was the opportunity for discovery and exploration, to brave the skies and solve a mystery with the promise of reward. So, there in Highcroak Tavern in Nu Martyr, Elgar would remain, waiting comfortably for a small group of voyagers to help him find this city and unlock its treasures for all the world to see! Looking for a group of four max (myself included) to explore the skies via airship, chasing after the tale of a city said to dwell on a cloud itself. I will settle for just one other person if it comes to it! I'll serve as light GM, nudging the story along while taking part in it, with help from my fellow roleplayers. We'll start out in Nu Martyr, Nehalen, Cierno, in Highcroak Tavern in the city. Since a particular portion of the roleplay will have our characters be airborne, I figured we could all share my character's airship. Either that or we each have our own hot air balloon and play bumper balloons? I plan on having the IC thread up by this weekend. I didn't mention the brevity rule because it is not in play but I am going to encourage it nonetheless! Any takers? IC thread
  3. The Five W's Who: 4 players max (including yours truly) | Choose your own character What: Action, adventure, mystery, sci-fi, cyberpunk/post-cyberpunk, city When: Present day Where: Martial Town, Lagrimosa Why: Futuristic setting to explore and engage while telling an appropriately themed story via collaborative effort Ride with me to Martial Town! The Neon City is a myriad of neon lights one moment and flashing muzzle fire the next. Like a bowl of cereal, life is great, or it sucks like soda through a straw. Sometimes it's a bit of both. It's good, it's bad. It's cyberpunk. In Martial Town (and unless supernal's reading this and knocks my noggin with a corrective coiled newspaper) there are three primary 'districts': The Peripherals mark the city limits/suburbs and are slums ruled by gangs (law: low); The Buffer is the main urban area of the city for residential, commerce, entertainment and shopping, and is (mostly) policed by the MTPD (law: medium); The Core is the city center with a focus on political and corporate power, including company and government headquarters, and is policed by the military (law: high). We're going to start out in the Buffer. Namely, in the CyberFunk Cafe (blurb in Martial Town page). Our story will follow themes of action and adventure, sci-fi and mystery, with a cocktail of political and criminal intrigue. Choose your own character, from private investigator to cafe server to whatever works best for you, because our PCs will all be strangers to one another who are quickly plunged into a problem regardless of their career choice. You'll find out what that problem is in just the first few posts! Till then, my OP will have enough foundation to play with, from news on TV to living NPCs and an excuse for me to showcase CyberFunk. There will even be IC clues as to what will shortly happen! I'll serve as 'light GM' with some serious emphasis on 'light'. I know the bare basics of our building blocks but basically after the first few posts we'll all be relying on each other to tell this tale. This is very much a collaborative effort both IC and OOC so get that imagination ready to rock and roll! There will be a posting order that will be determined by whoever posts first after my OP and pace is 1P/3D. Are you cyberpunks up for it?
  4. I have grave news! A serial killer is on the loose in the wilds of Lagrimosa, though this one is currently as small a dot on the radar as the victims being targeted. In the humble town of Ellenwood, an envelope has just been delivered to the Constable's office containing a horrific message. The self-proclaimed "Wingless" has delivered a letter of confession to their crime of torturing and murdering an unknown number of fairies and, as evidence to support their claim, has included a grisly token of their deeds. Determined to investigate this case, Constable Easton C. Pedderick will be looking for internal and external support. Ellenwood is a small town, with a quiet people in a peaceful land, and its constabulary is unable to recall the last murder in the area, so they need those brave souls who have more experience in this nasty business. In my next post of the IC thread I will be hosting a conference in the constable's office with those who have heard his call for aid and took it upon themselves to answer and help his investigation. All life, no matter how small, is to be maintained and Easton will see this mandate fulfilled. This will tie in with anyone who joins up in this thread. I'm looking for a small group of three others with a posting pace of 1 per 3 days—with understandable negotiation, of course. But be warned! There will come a point (you'll find out) when the killer will send more tokens of their affection to the Constable. This is not just IC time—this is real time OOC as well. In other words, for every period of time that passes without the killer being brought to justice, they will kill another fairy, and it won't be pretty. This will most assuredly happen if no one (that's you) helps the Constable with this case. In other other words, if no one joins this roleplay, say bye bye to the pretty fairies! Now that I've called your morality into question, who's with me?
  5. Adventure calls to you, will you answer? My character, Thyphainne Gladesinger, along with some of her fellow paladins from the Oathkeepers, will be investigating the ruins of Old Khaiperon, in the mountains below Hell's Gate. This is going to be a perilous mission, where we are likely to encounter bloodthirsty bands of humans who had gone mad from the previous destruction that had been reigned down upon the city, as well as other hazards that await. If you'd like, you may join as either a character already made, or have your character along as part of the Oathkeepers, or even make a new character that is already part of the Oathkeepers if you desire. All that truly matters to me, if I'm being honest, is that we all have a good time playing out this story. Those that are interested please post here and we can figure out the basics like character motivation, rewards, and anything else you can think of. [IC Thread]
  6. Hi everyone. Dia's new nightclub, is officially open. And as such. I'd like to throw a little welcoming night! Simple stuff: No weapons will be permitted. Nor is use of offensive magic. Or anything outside food/drink related. This is a thread for fun, dancing, drinking, partying. VIP services will be available on the second floor. It is recommended that no pets be brought. Clothing is non regulated but remember it's a nightclub. There will be a live DJ present. (still contracting.) Full service bar (Hiring) VIP lounge server. (Filled). And Security (hiring) ----- Admission price is waived for the night. And drinks are half price for the first and last hour. --- If you're interested in staffing, please let me know! It will be a come and go as you please thread. But I DO ask that you tag anyone you interact with. Thanks everyone! I'll make and post a thread soon
  7. The Verm settlement of Tradetown; a bustling town of commerce and trade, populated almost entirely with refugees, has no immediately identifiable neighbors. The Forbidden Woods of Lagrimosa, once home to a strange (and frankly, unfriendly) group of Fae is home to no species beyond the rat-like Verm, who seek to raze the forest in the pursuit of infinite expansion and regional supremacy. In this endeavour, they are almost certainly alone, having alienated or antagonized their closest, smaller neighbors and have so far failed to arrange proper diplomacy with larger settlements nearby. While some trade has been established here and there, and those supplies often curb the hunger pangs of the growing masses, a troubling series of reports have come in, that have prompted a hasty investigation. Somebody is raiding Verm caravans along the roads into the Forbidden Woods, but whom? The Skarr Clan, the current and uncontested rulers of the Verm population on Lagrimosan territory, have sent out a request--seeking adventurers, mercenaries, wayward lawmen or whomever chooses to take up the call. The job listing doesn't specify how qualified they're meant to be, how dangerous the job is, or how much they'll get paid. Somebody has drawn at least three gold coins under the word 'Reward', so that's probably a good sign, right? Who: I am looking for anywhere between 1 and 3 participants in this thread. They only need to be on Lagrimosa in order to participate, but it's ideal if they know how to fight at least a bit, or have other useful abilities. What: Writers will be speaking with the coordinator of the hunt, who will then direct them either to other caravaneers who may know something about the missing wagons, or to the last known site of the missing wagons. The writers will then attempt to find clues as to the location of the missing supplies, the attackers, and anything else of note. You should expect to do some creative problem solving, and come up with your own approaches and solutions to whatever situations are thrown at you. Where: This thread takes place in the Forbidden Woods, outside of Nesthome in Lagrimosa. You can read up on Lagrimosa if you're new by checking out the Lore tab on the top of the webpage, and if you click on Lagrimosa from there, you can also find a link to Nesthome, for information on the Verm, Nesthome itself, and other stuff. When: The Thread will begin in a week from today, or sooner if we get three participants before then. If there aren't any participants, or not enough participants, I will fill in empty space with NPCs and stuff. Why: This thread serves to grow the Verm's influence in Lagrimosa, and also is one of 3 threads I hope to do that firmly spread Skarr Clan's identity through the region. In time, I hope to have functional trade routes, partnerships and the like. This particular thread will also hopefully allow the Verm some canon backing to their future projects, such as warp-based weaponry, biochemical weapons, and mutations, so that's pretty cool. Rewards: Money, of course, but a number of other unique Verm rewards, possibly including: -Unique Verm-based magic items -Ancient Fae Relics -An Artifact or two, if I ever figure out how to make some of my own -Rat Brides(???)
  8. Genre: Action and adventure, perhaps a little mystery depending on how the story shapes up Location: Lagrimosa Basic premise: Indiana Jones mixed with elements of MIB aka government sponsored adventuring for the purposes of anthropological and archeological research. It will be a dungeon crawl type of thread with exploring rooms and dealing with what you find but the emphasis will be more on character dynamics than on combat. There will be a lot of improv! This will be limited to Empire's military personnel, either existing or new, which means you can become part of the military as a function of joining this thread. For existing personnel rank won't be a determining factor of individual or group dynamics for this mission. I will provide GM services for a limited amount of pages (right now I'm estimating 2-3) after which we can wrap the thread up or the players can continue, using my notes or breaking into their own direction as desired We'll have a more proper session 0 once there are some players / characters involved Characters Cadmium Emile Pettifor Session Zero
  9. Hello! I am hoping to start up an adventure with Esdel. I am not used to doing RP with more than 1 person, but I would love to maybe start something with 1-3 people. I am still getting used to the lore of Valucre, but I have at least a good few years of RP experience under my belt. However, it would be appreciated if someone who joins the adventure is more savvy with Valucre lore than myself. I really love an RP with some good angst, some romance (if it goes that way), excitement, development.... I was thinking replies will be every 2-3 days at the latest, but definitely flexible, as I know life gets busy. Esdel is fairly underdeveloped as a character currently. Flirty by nature, doesn't know who he is yet, kind of moody, a bit daft. Very open to the plotline and I look forward to conjuring up ideas with, hopefully, a few of you. 🙂
  10. Priscilla Arrettle, recently returned to her position as runesmith and merchant, has a bit of a problem. Or rather, the problem the size (and value) of a mountain. The runesmith several months back bluffed about owning an impressive, but abandoned mine shaft etched into the mountains North of Vdara Kingdom, a mine which now pumps out a generous amount of precious metals. Her faithful mining crew of kobolds have steadily churned out enough new mithril and platinum to make Priscilla a very wealthy woman once again. But there's a catch; the mine originally belonged to somebody else, somebody neither Priscilla has never met, and according to her research, nobody has seen or heard of them for a long time. Without many leads to go off of, Priscilla bent every resource she had (including visiting her ex) to finding some clue as to how to find the identity of the former mine owner. Now, she's fairly certain she has enough evidence to go off of. However, she's not alone. Since day one, Priscilla has been shadowed by other merchants, many of them vying for the mine and her lucrative operation. Should they discover the deed before her, not only will they be able to claim it for their own, they'll be able to confiscate her profits and materials for their own as well. Furthermore, making money off someone else's land and resources is theft. Priscilla could easily end up in prison for the rest of her life if this goes south. So instead of looking for help through the regular channels, Priscilla Arrettle must once again look to the streets for a handful of rough, efficient, and hopefully understanding brigands, thieves, outlaws or mercenaries to do the job in her stead. If they succeed, the payout will be nothing short of expansive...assuming they actually decide to hand the deed to Priscilla when they're done, that is. This is thread four, or possibly five in an ongoing series involving Priscilla Arrettle, my runesmith maskmaking merchant. With this thread, we'll likely see the end of her current misadventures, as she finally recovers enough wealth to rebuild her hard-earned fortune, and perhaps even start something more significant. If what you've read so far interests you, take a look below and see if this is the thread for you! Who: A group of adventurers not affiliated with any major political or state factions. This group should ideally comprise of between 4 and 5 different people. I am providing one of my own characters, Kian, to guide the thread forward. @Houndy Poochykins has also expressed interest in joining the thread with one of their characters. @Venus Sprite has previously written with Priscilla in another thread, and might be interested in joining us for another adventure (maybe?) That leaves space for 2 or potentially 3 more writers. As stated before, these characters should ideally be located on Genesaris, and be independant contracters, unaffiliated from any major groups. If you have a character that is a part of a major group, but you want them to join anyway for lore reasons (or money reasons), talk to me about it, and maybe we can arrange something! These characters don't necessarily have to be good or evil; they also don't necessarily have to help Priscilla in the end if they don't want to! There's a lot of wiggle room here, so pick what works best for you! What: The thread will consist of the party following Priscilla's only lead on where to find the deed to a number of locations in order to collect it. This will involve burglary, grave-robbing, and probably fighting some undead/magical guardians of some kind, and perhaps some monsters along the way. Furthermore, Priscilla's information broker isn't the best oiled wheel on the cart, it seems, as the party will likely be tailed by other prospectors eager to reach the deed first. Depending on how you want to do this, there could be some murder, a little treason. Who knows what'll happen, right? Because the thread is meant to be canon, it'll need to reach a certain page limit to be considered canon. This also means that upon completion your character earns a valuable artifiact. And because I'm the guy who makes this stuff canon for this thread, I get to dictate what that is. You'll probably leave with a handsome smattering of cool stuff, including your own custom-made runeite mask. What's a runite mask? Well, Runeite is the material used by smiths (typically runesmiths) to give weapons, armor and other equipment enhanced magical properties. This includes junk like making the sword set on fire, allowing the mask to drink blood, changing your shape--all kinds of stuff, potentially! Your mask will be custom made to give you a benefit that reflects your character, so you're guaranteed to get something cool! Where: The thread takes place in and around Vdara Kingdom, in Genesaris. It's a pretty cool place to write, and you should write there more. In fact, you should write in Genesaris too. Do it, you silly fool. More importantly though, the thread will involve travelling from Vdara Kingdom to a nearby city to follow up on a lead. From there, the party will need to determine how best to track the deed down, by visiting a few places around the city. Lastly, the party will need to return the deed back to Vdara Kingdom, at the Merchant's Guild, so Priscilla can finally get it updated with her name. When: The thread will begin within 3 days of confirming enough writers to start. As I already know that Hound wants to participate, and I intend on bringing my own character, this means we will likely be ready to go after two people express interest in the thread. However, if we get 5 characters for this thread, we'll start on that same day, to keep everybody from waiting too long. Because of the nature of the thread, I expect that at the longest, it'll take us about two months to complete, at the longest (hopefully). Don't forget, we're writing at a pace of at least one post every 3 days, so hopefully we get things done quick! Any questions? Any concerns? Let me know below! I'd be happy to hear them!
  11. As maybe possibly promised, here is my third quest that I'm hosting in Yh'mi! And this is the big(ger) one too! Did I really end up putting the interest check off this long? rip Description: Venture into the Whitewoods, while trying not to die! Locate a particular variety of vine, then figure out how to harvest it without dying! See if it can be used to calm Saevion... without dying! Is there a trend here? Definitely not! And hey, if this ends up succeeding... Saevion. Riders. ? So anyways, I'm looking for at least two, and up to four other people to undertake this quest with me. Also, as promised, @Ghastardly
  12. The ancient Arch-Demon, Kahd'Xel Yedapher has awoken from its eternal slumber and terrorizes Valucre once again. The demon is a horrid beast filled to the brim with vile unholy plagues and eyes that shine a poison light. Ancient scrolls tell of it feasting on the flesh and magical essences of countless creatures and it aims to do so once more. The demon has been seen dashing across the wastelands of Lagrimosa heading south with unnatural speed and ferocity. Soon it will reach the town of Treedell just east of Sidereal Lake. A quaint logging community with a population of 200. If no one stops it it will devour all life in its path and grow stronger than anyone can handle. It must be stopped now! (OOC) I'm trying something out here. Basically I'm going to be posting once a day having Kah'Xel devour everyone in Treedell. If you guys want to jump in and stop me or like chat about the weather, jump in. Otherwise, I'm going to just eat all 200 people and their pets and livestock. Don't fight Kah'Xel blind though, this guy is pretty nasty and basically can cause radiation poisoning and disease just by getting close to him. So don't accidentally show up with someone who can't handle poison or disease unless you have a game plan. The Thread
  13. This is for everyone. Especially those who are newer and maybe don't know where to start after their 90 days ( I think that's how it works - I'll re-read the rules one day) Is there a plot? Do not know. Just winging it at the moment. If something comes from it then great. This is piggy backing off of @Rin who kindly announced some of the lesser sky islands right here to get used. If I placed this in the wrong section, I assume that someone (specifically looking @supernal )will correct it. Azure Seas
  14. Hello! I am trying to spread some faith and bash evil in its face across TerFractImosa!! Yshmael, Gaian Apprentice and Nomadic Pilgrim is seeking out evil on a path (unorganized but loosely) eventually delivering him to Yh’mi once he becomeS a Paladin. So help me get those thread counts up! Peaceful or warfare I don’t mind! Spitball with me about Gaia too! I wanna live the lore!!!
  15. This will be brief but this is a subsidiary interest check, and I'll try to keep it from being too complex. So here's the rigamarole- Basically, @supernal tossed out a thread asking for new recruits for the Terran military. He also extended this offer to contractors, and mercenaries. Then, he created an interest check for repairs and military investigations in Ignatz that actually was in response to a CANONIZED(!!) thread. This means that that the follow up thread- This one Here is the OOC This will also strive to be canonized, and your participation here will therefore have a real impact on the lore (and Ignatz itself). The actual marching orders read as follows It will vary by person, but any who are interested will receive a missive that directs them to rendezvous at the Ignatz, specifically The Purple Axe Tavern and Inn. So essentially, people are being hired by the Terran Military to come help investigate recent demonic/cult activities here in the religious capital of Terrenus L A g R i M o S a. I would love any help with this, as I feel it has the potential to go from a slow, intense, investigation; and transform into an action packed, high octane, violent lecture on the finer points of Terran litigation to the unwashed cult masses. It'll be a blast! So hit me up here, and pitch a character, and we'll start running.
  16. "I will show you how the mighty fall." ☾ The Grand Kommadant of Nehalen has begun the process of removing the mighty Gods of her land. The balance between these Gods of the people of Nehalen is being disrupted by the Kommadant's blasphemous actions. By erecting a nullifier in the form of an invisible veil, Primera begins the process of pushing these powerful beings back into their own world, sundering them from the land they have called home for eons. An action done to protect her people from the Gods who have all been disruptive before the nullifier had been put in place. The veil is simply the tipping point; it is believed this action to protect her people from the Gods is what has sent the Gods into a frenzy. Their powers are being siphoned from them the more they fight against the push, weakening them immensely, and their minds have begun to dwindle into psychosis. Once revered and fondly feared, the Gods are now looked upon as a disease in the eyes of the Grand Kommadant's followers who believe the time of Man has finally come. ☽ Welcome! I'm glad you all could drop on by to my little event I've got here. Things are pretty straight forward around these parts: Nehalen (formerly Renovatio) is going through some changes and this event will be the spark to said changes. I'm asking you all to affect my lore by joining the threads offered to kill a God and properly canonize them. The Gods are scattered across Nehalen and I will provide you those locations. Kill a God, become a hero (or villian)! Q&A: How many pages do the threads need to be? I am looking for at least two pages. Can always be more but can't be less! How many Gods can I kill? As many as you want but you can only go after one at a time. Can I do this alone? Absolutely! If you want to solo kill a God, I see no issue with that. Do I need to use a specific character? No. You can use whatever character you want but I do expect some sort of fairness from you all. Please keep to mild powers associated with the forum. Do I need to use a specific combat system? No. I am allowing everyone to go kill crazy with this but, again, I do expect some sort of fairness from you all. Please realize this isn't supposed to be easy; I expect damage not only to the area(s) you are fighting the Gods in but also damage to your character. Can I contain a God? Go right ahead! Contain it however you want, doing whatever you want, just keep in mind that it is a lesser, weaker version and it will be that way forever due to my character cutting said God's will off. Can I absorb the spirit/essence of the God? Of course! Do I need to use a storyteller? If you feel it is necessary, go right ahead! I don't know how to start? No worries! I will be creating prompts for all the Gods that need to be killed and you can follow that prompt however you wish. Just post in the thread and have fun. How long do I have once I start? I would appreciate 1 post per 3 days. This will keep the thread going with hopes it'll be finished at an appropriate time. If I see a thread has stalled for more than two weeks, I will assume that God is up for grabs again. If you need more time, reach out to me! I understand how life can be a bit hectic. I'm done, now what? Tag me in your summary for the thread with opportunities (example: killed the God, ended up destroying a city/village/town, how will this affect the area? Was something unleashed during this? etc.) for future role-players. I need some extra help! Never hesitate to reach out to me. I am constantly available on Discord, making it the quickest way to get answers. No Discord? That's okay, just send me a pm or tag me in the OOC for this event. How long is this event? Until all the Gods are killed off or just enough of them are killed. 17. Potentially Discriminating Reading Theme River Raiders Svanhild Quest River Raiders — River pirates are attacking trade boats along the Symarron River between Cal Eteris and Canterstone. A mysterious patron is looking to hire able-bodied adventurers to find the pirates’ hideouts and destroy their operation. ♦ Requirement: 1+ pages (16+ posts), 1+ players ♦ Reward: Satisfaction The peaceful people of prosperous Svanhild are plagued by pirates. Will you protect them? Hello, I'm Die Shize! You may remember me from such roleplays as "Honey, I Shrunk the Gnomes!", "The Lord of the Forums: The Fellowship of the Forum", "A Loud Place" and "Star Trek: Star Wars". But today I'd like to talk to you about a most noble quest to stop a pack of pesky pirates from harassing the good fine people of the Queendom of Svanhild! After all, vielle went through so much hard work to give these folks a pleasant place to live in, and the last thing she needs (as the true queen of gold and green) is these good-for-nothing river raiders raiding unchecked and unchallenged (like those Uruk-hai from that one film that you may not remember me from). Well, far be it from me to exclude myself from this weighty responsibility of safeguarding the lives and livelihoods of my fellow Svanhildians (Svanhildians? Svanhilders? Svanhildenerfolken?). No, I shall answer this plea for help with sword and shield, sail and ship, determined to cure this piratical disease one injection at a time...and I shan't be going at it alone. Who, I ask among my fellow Valucreans, shall join me in this most noble and most epic and good and fine quest to row our boat up and down the Symarron River and put an end to those who poison its waters? Who will aid me in my good and fine duty to seek out the pirates' hideout and put them and their perverse business...out of business...once and for all? Join me as I plot a course into Ursa Madeum, into the Queendom of Svanhild, into the Symarron River, and into the breach. It will be a roleplay to remember, so that the next time you introduce yourself, you can do what I do and say "You may remember me from such roleplays as "River Raiders"." I am looking for a maximum of three participants in this roleplay-quest-adventure-thing, including myself. I figured we'd start out meeting this mysterious patron person and go from there. It's been a minute since I've roleplayed so I may be a little rusty, so forgive me for assuming that I will do most of the DMing (including the mysterious patron), though if that should be someone else then that is good and fine. There will be a reward for this quest: the satisfaction of having helped good and fine people. Well, something more tangible too, but that is a secret for now. You will sail on my ship, the Iron Justice, captained by my character, Wallace Ambrose. We can assume that Wallace is selected by their contractor to lead the mission and the other two PCs are to assist. Wallace is specifically interested in individuals who know the land and water of Svanhild more than he does, to help him and his crew navigate toward their quarry, since he is relatively new to the scene. Now, if noble causes aren't quite your thing, we can also throw in money as part of the reward package. I'm sure that's no issue. The pirates will likely have a hoard of stolen goods in their hideout, and perhaps a portion of that can be rewarded as well. I could ask vielle on the front end, or play the old 'forgiveness instead of permission' card and just do it anyway and then backtrack after the fact all oopsy-woopsy lol I say we meet in a tavern, our characters either having heard of the job beforehand or finding out at the tavern, whatever floats your boat, and that's where the contractor can get into the meat and potatoes of the mission (and you can eat meat and potatoes too because tavern). I will of course make the thread. Well, words are hard, but there you have it. 18. "I will level with you, my Brother. I am invested in the People--I wager my godhood that I can restore the Senarian civilization to its glory. I believe I can liberate them from a vicious cycle." "You impress me with your boldness, Banished One. If you can indeed, you will be allowed to return to the Inner Planes and receive your mantle once more. Should you fail, your punishment will be eternal." Once upon a time there was a splendid civilization that saw a golden age. And then? it fell. And from the ashes, another civilization rose, destined--surely--for greatness. But it too, fell. The Sun God Arundae'raa--a Trickster God, saw this and was saddened. He made a wager with his brother Dema; the God of the Moon, of dreams and destruction And then a Sovereign child was born. You see, the Sun God had tricked his brother--as Tricksters do--with this sovereign child. He was determined to see the people who once worshiped him rebuild new. Though he too--in time--fell. But not before he had given his champion the tools and knowledge needed to liberate her people and rebuild. And so, she did. -- Interest Check: Lorebuilding/Lorecrafting Genre: Medieval Fantasy®/ Lite Exalta Crystal & Steam Tech Cit(y)ies: The Sovereign City of Hyperion - Hyperion City is a melting pot of Asian-inspired cultures and serves as the imperial capital, wrapped up in a magical setting and overshadowed by a divine war. Look no further Hi guys! Linty here. Been a while since I've done one of these! First let me say, I am overly thrilled that Port Kyros is thriving. Thank you for your awesome support! Now? It's time to rebuild Hyperion and its satellite cities. You see, while I was AFV I asked some awesome folks (I see you danzilla, Rin) to kick down my sandcastle in Fracture so I could eventually rebuild it in Genesaris--and so, here we are! Each city is unique in its flavor, and there will be tons of opportunities in each one. Just take a peek and see what's available to you... ...a lot, as you can see! Q: So what is Hyperion? Hyperion is the overarching name of an empire made of several magic-drenched cities and queendoms in Genesaris that operate under a little lady named Queen Raveena and her family Q: And you need what now? Just some stellar folks who enjoy writing awesome things to join me in (a) thread(s) (and hopefully, many more in the future!) to build these supa' rad cities. The only lore pages that are written out but not set in stone is Hyperion City and Brehill. You will each have an opportunity to contribute something--not just to the thread of building the city, but to the lore pages as well. If you have something in mind? Let's talk about it! I want to hear from you! Because these cities will be newly minted, they can be malleable and fleshed out within the scope of their themes. If you have an interest in helping to build more than one, you're more than welcome to jump between threads with whatever characters you'd like. Tech is light and magitech in nature, with room to grow! I have a lot of sweet artifacts and treasures to roll out after this, but I wanna do right by the lore and get these places canonized, first! All in all, I'm opening up the doors to you guys to come and help me get this idea off the ground and carve up the Rising West with activity. Most importantly, we aim to misbehave are going to rock out and have fun. And in the spirit of continuing to name thread titles after songs, you should totally listen to this super cool song that inspired said IC title. Anyway. Come help me rebuild! ---
  19. INTEREST CHECK Hello all, I was wondering if I could get some help with a rp. I am writing up the return of my very first and old charrie, Rin. I have lore, though I'm super lax about it. I need either 2-4 people, playing either the good or bad side. Its mostly about Rin once again going to all lengths to get her homeland back from the new elder since she's been away. I'll also be playing the resistance side, trying to revive a dead man and also trying to stop Rin. Should be fun. Sorry if this muddled, I suck at explantions.
