[I][COLOR=indigo]I thought that i'd post some of my recent work up for people to comment on. I'm open to constructive criticism but if you're going to post and say things along the lines of "your graphics suck" just to be an ass, then hit that big red x at the top right of your screen because I don't wanna hear it. If you have something constructive to say please by all means say it.

I've got so much that it would take up way too much space if I posted a complete gallery so I decided to make guests able to view those three albums. Edited by Akara

The angles on the first, second, and third images take the viewers focus away from the subject. I like the second-to-last image, but I may be partial to the vintage style.

I would work on not cluttering the subject with hard lines that lead the eye away.

Thanks for sharing.

Nah, a few of them appear a wee blurry to me as well. I wasn't sure if it was just a case of the morning eyes (where everything is hazy) or what but now that I have had a bit to be awake and have my eyes focus, they are. Granted not all of them are blurry and the portions that are blurry aren't that bad.

I like the 5th one (counting down the list) the best. The overall look and feel to it is pretty nice.

Yeah I see blurriness a bit too. Make sure you're sharpening the render before you merge your layers. I agree with Haywood that you need to do a bit more with focusing in the image so that the eye is drawn to one direct place first, and flows outward from that. The other thing is that the lack of contrast in some of them doesn't help that focus problem anymore.

I really like the last three that you posted, the last one in the original post and the two you posted for the update. They have a lot more focus than the others and they're a bit more 'wow'.

As far as the one you used text in, try out some different text techniques. I favor the overlay technique and keeping it very close to the render. It blends better into the image.

For the very last image, I like the idea. It also would have been neat to see simple, non-complex brushing instead of foliage there to make the entire thing very fantasy, and minus the lines that I feel sort of draw away from the image.

Overall though I'm pretty impressed with your skill and like I mentioned somewhere else, I think you did an excellent job with that vague blue-yellow signature request.

Well overlayed by itself. No text effects or blending options. Try painting the text entirely black on a light background like that and hitting 'overlay'. I did that with Vanna's signature with the word Burlesque in white.

Yeah, I know how that is; I used to stroke all of my text. I only stopped or minimized it when enough people told me my only real issue was blending text. Otherwise I wouldn't have. Lmao.
