In the Valucre FAQ page, the links to ValBullion and Experience points, Awards Page and Universal Colosseum don't work for some reason - where can I find the pages they're supposed to link to?

Under Pages you'll find a drop down menu called Quicklinks which has working links to all major articles and guides.

Links in Valucre FAQ will be updated this weekend.

Same guest as above here. Are ValBullion points also the IC currency? Also, do those who post for the Daily Weekly still get paid a certain amount? On this note, are the things in the Daily Weekly FAQ from Jan. 2013 still up to date? I found it on the second page - maybe it should be a pinned topic?

Thank you for clearing up my previous question, by the way. :) I'm excited to get into roleplaying here, but I'm still trying to get the main details of how everything works before diving in. The guides are extremely comprehensive and informative, though there are a number of broken links.

ValBullion were used as IC currency, yes, but the point system is no longer part of our site. You can see this announcement for more details: http://www.valucre.com/topic/29849-pointmarket-system/

I'll review the daily weekly faq and post there when I have it updated but I'll say it's probably outdated. Right now people can essentially just post in it if they feel they have something relevant to highlight IC.

And you're welcome! Always happy to answer questions. If you point out any articles you come across broken links I'll try and update them then. Just yesterday and today I updated the roleplay and valucre FAQ.

From what I gather, are members not allowed to edit or delete their own posts?

Members can edit any of their posts unless the thread has been locked. Members cannot delete their own posts since that is tied to the ability to delete their own threads, and we are generally against deleting threads where more than one member has submitted content that can be deemed as "valuable". This way people don't delete threads that have other people's roleplay posts for example. Members can report their own content and request that it is deleted however.

I have a few questions before I decide if i want to join this site. You see my mate and I are furries and we love to meet new people and roleplay but so many people dont like furries. My first question is will we be welcomed here or will we be shunned for being furries? My next question pertains to the site itself. Is this site strickley a forum site or can you privately message people? I ask this because I am a shy person and Ive never really roleplayed on a forum site before. And my last question is do we have to pay to use your site? So many other roleplay sites want you to pay to join and frankily my mate and I cant affored extra expences. If you could get back to me and answer my questions that would be great. Thank you

Just so I can answer from a place of firm footing, can you define what "Furries" are/mean to you and your mate? It's easy to make assumptions when someone uses a term and I'd rather go off a clearly understood definition than make assumptions.

So that said, I'll say two things. 1 - There's nothing wrong with playing non-human characters or anthropomorphized animals. I've seen it done plenty of times. 2 - The most common association I see with furries is one of sexual overtones, and will say that while the site is rated R to allow for adult themes, that sex scenes and other pornographic content aren't allowed under our Code of Conduct in public or in PM.

To your next questions, Valucre isn't strictly a public RP site. That is to say you won't be penalized for roleplaying in PM and users have done it before, many of them then posting their private roleplays in public forums once complete. I prefer to engage with the community as a whole but that's just me and there's nothing wrong or disallowed with either preference. I'll warn that though you can roleplay in PM you must still adhere to the code of conduct, and as a special note advertising for other sites in PM is also not allowed and is a banworthy offense.

Valucre is absolutely free. I'm actually a little shocked that there are roleplay sites that require payment.

I've looked around for a bit and noticed that some RP threads are labeled as "Open", and searched the FAQ's and such, but wasn't able to find the answer I was looking for. Are these "Open" tags indicating a thread open to everyone, or more along the lines of a thread still in progress? And if it's the latter, does Valucre support threads of the former sort?

An Open tag means the thread is open to everyone. Once you join, you can jump right into anything that says "Open" on it. :)

To explain some of the other tags, Semi-closed means to ask for an invite beforehand and Closed means the thread isn't accepting anyone else.
