Dougton Lore Article

The air in Dougton is thick with suspicion and paranoia. People have gone missing for days, sometimes weeks, at a time only to return to their families with no recollection of their time away. A few reports indicate that the missing persons exhibit weird behavior, things like smiling all the time or staying up odd hours. Superstitious residents blame the unusual circumstances on baleful spirits, and so more and more houses sport good luck charms and symbols on their windows and doors.

Blairville Lore Article

Despite numerable claims of blood magic, necromancy, and terrorism, the air of Blairville is showing its usual blithe and jolly indifference. Aversions to general misconduct, impropriety, and magic once considered foul are becoming objects of acceptance, or people have stopped caring. A sense of childish freedom elevates the spirits of its citizens.

Ashville Lore Article

After a brief scare with strange creatures rising from the depths of the sewer system, Ashville is back to its baseline level of function. The majority population remains the well-to-do businessmen and families of old money, but in the continued spirit of their benevolent leader, the people regularly donate to the less fortunate, creating programs to help others get back on their feet and become functioning members of society once more. While no city is without its problems, Ashville is perhaps amongst the most stable regions in Terrenus and continues to welcome any who seek to bring innovation and business savvy to their city.

Tia Lore Article

He planted the seed in a square of grass within his estate and said, “To bring peace to one’s village one must first bring peace to one’s home,” and from there grew a vast stream of legislation aimed at the betterment of Tia. Four years later Steam City chugs loyally on. Since the strong armed detainment of warring factions and constituent remnants, and the emergence of a diversely formidable law enforcement,  crime has experienced a violent but just stifling. Races and their neighbors have pushed aggression to the wayside for fear of the much greater violence that would befall each party involved. Three and a half years after the disbanding of Gardens Inc. and the Steamgear Clan, gnomes and goblins have even been seen joking with one another or partaking in certain small customs. Business is on the rise, stoked by trade agreements made with third party merchants entering and leaving town and the further enticing incorporation of magic into formerly outdated steam technology. The latter of these is under research in terms of home application, and a new class of engineering economist is emerging from this industrial boom.

Last Chance Lore Article

Last Chance is a proverbial powder-keg, with its wick in place and a trail of gunpowder lain plain. The interior of both La Ultima Opportunidad and La Ultima Fortuna are the most 'normal' for their respective environments, if one can even define 'normal' in Last Chance, but the Greylands and its perimeter are nothing more than a sometimes-demilitarized combat zone.

The socialites and workers in La Ultima Opportunidad continue building their society, while the criminals and dead-men in La Ultima Fortuna keep stealing theirs. Every now and again, a criminal leader is mysteriously assassinated- or maybe a squad leader in the Civilian Defense Force- or some drunken, or lost, or exploring civilian gets killed in a skirmish, and then, for everyone but the civilian, begins the violent retaliation. For the citizen, an all-too-common press statement is their revenge- one where the government talks of reconciliation and remediation, even though the sad fact is that the citizens of Fortuna, the Watchmen, and the CDF, are locked in a deadly cold war. Palgard Lore Article

New Palgard has been torn in raucous civil war since the fall of the bell tower several months past, and since then has left the city paralyzed, and in a general state of disrepair. While before many supported the undisputed rule of Miss Greybury, that seems to have changed due to the attacks, and the scaled up presence of a mercenary guard force tasked with oppressing these unruly people. However, that only seemed to rile the masses, and drive them to overthrow their oppressive masters.
