Seldeth

An elven princess of the city of Platinum-Neptune in Athentha. She is a powerful healer, and is dedicated to helping the less fortunate in her city. Unfortunately, she had fallen prey to the tricks of Esben, who was attempting to awaken the powerful beast Legendia through her body. Legendia had taken over Seldeth's body, seeking control over Athentha, the land that had been taken away from her when Miach sealed her into the Book of Legendia. Legendia planned to invoke the Blood Red Moon and undergo a ritual marriage with Rin, the heiress of Athentha and daughter of Miach, so that she could bond Rin to herself and become the ruler of Athentha. However, Legendia's plans were thwarted by Deryck (Rin's brother), Saerenth and Kymil. The legendary creature was purged from Seldeth's body and bound to the dais constructed from volcanic rock that the enslaved people of Platinum-Neptune had built.

Seldeth was brought unconscious to the city of Rowen by Deryck, who later told her that the only way to save her brother was to seek the shaman Kogal. The first seed of the Blood Red Moon Children, Garnet, forced his presence on them, claiming that only the elf mage Lucinda knew where Kogal was, and that only he knew where she was. Garnet tried to convince Seldeth to become a seed, but Deryck was against it, and Seldeth trusted his caution. The threesome met up with Lucinda in Sol-Mowanna, and they boarded an airship that would bring them to the Sol-Mowannan desert, where Kogal was reportedly trapped in a dungeon. On the airship, Seldeth became increasingly worried about her lack of prowess in battle. Both Lucinda and Garnet attempted to convince her to become a seed to gain power, and even Deryck admitted that there would be advantages. Finally, Seldeth agreed. Garnet planted the seed in Seldeth's heart, granting her a tenfold increase in her magic powers. However, the seed would slowly drain her of her humanity.

In the dungeon, Deryck was killed in a battle, and devoid of humanity, Seldeth did not lend a hand. Together with Garnet, she turned Lucinda into a seed. It had been Garnet's ploy all along, and now his ranks of seeds had swelled by two. In the next stage of the dungeon, Seldeth was faced with an illusion of a dark age brought about by Rin's rise of power. There, she found out that Ashlyn Legendia still had control over her body. Ashlyn battled Rin in the illusion, but was banished by the heiress. Her sister, Hilda Legendia, was called forth to occupy Seldeth's body, and under Rin's control.

Elf form:

Spoiler

Seldeth's elder brother. Prince of the city of Platinum-Neptune, and part of the city guards. He loves his sister very much, and understands his father's concerns for her, but at the same time pities her for being like a caged bird. Ayssa, a seduction demoness working under Esben has managed to put his father under her spell, but craves Saerenth. The prince was much less susceptible to her deception, but had succeeded in planting a demon into his body. He fought the demon for long and hard, focused on saving his sister from Legendia, but the dark winged beast tried to take over Saerenth's body as well, by sinking her teeth into him. The demon won out in the ensuing clash of energies, and consumed Saerenth. The demon seeks ultimate power. Now, it pairs with the awakened Dark Winged Beast, Flanna, working with her in the hopes to one day learn enough from her to usurp her throne.

On Flanna's instructions, Saerenth had tainted many with mirror shards, in order to allow the islands to fall under her control. However, the process was tedious, and the more effective method was to help Flanna to take over Rin's body completely. A ritual needed to be performed, and a stone in Val Cruxia was needed for the ritual. However, the entrance to where the stone was kept was sealed, and through interrogating the locals, Saerenth learnt that only Kogal could break the seal. Together with Kymil and Rin, who had arrived in Val Cruxia at around the same time, they set off to retrieve the shaman, Kogal from the deserts of Sol-Mowanna. It was later learnt that the retrieval of Kogal was a ploy by the first seed of the Red Blood Moon Children, Garnet. Saerenth, Kymil and Rin were put into a deep sleep by Garnet's spell.

Kymil

Elf form:

Spoiler

One of Seldeth's bodyguards. Esben and Ayssa had worked together to lure him away from Seldeth so that Esben could capture her. After seducing Kymil, Ayssa had performed a ritual on Kymil to turn him into a demon servant of Legendia. Kymil's mind raged a war against this transformation, and he eventually escaped from Ayssa. Kymil fought with the demon until the brink of his own death, but managed to come back with the demon's influence destroyed. However, his body stayed in the form of a demon. Legendia's sealing was mostly a result of Kymil using his newfound demonic power to modify the ritual circles that Legendia had drawn around a dais for her marriage with Rin. However, with the dark winged beast being awakened in Rin, the heiress of Athentha cast a spell on Kymil and forced a piece of mirror into his heart to enslave him.

What the heiress didn't foresee, however, was that Kymil would use the mirror shards against her, and implant one of it into her own body. Because of that, the two were helelessly bound to each other. Legendia spoke to Kymil through a piece of stone from the dais, and told him how to make Rin perfect. She told him to head to Val Cruxia and seek the stone that would let Flanna take over completely. Listening to Legendia's instructions, Kymil and Rin arrived at Val Cruxia, where they met Saerenth, and found out that they needed to find the shaman Kogal in the desert. It was later learnt that the retrieval of Kogal was a ploy by the first seed of the Red Blood Moon Children, Garnet. Saerenth, Kymil and Rin were put into a deep sleep by Garnet's spell.

Rodham

The other one of Seldeth's bodyguards. When Seldeth had gone missing, Rodham vowed to find her. With Athentha's citizens falling to demonic ores around him, he seeked out Kogal, the only shaman who had the power to stop Rin. Kogal betrayed him later, revealing that he had also been tainted by the ore. Rodham fought against Kogal with the demon hunter Vex, but Kogal got away. Later, Rodham was tricked into letting an amulet he wore be tainted with the ore. It slowly corrupted him, putting ideas in his head that he should seek power. He sought out Rin, and proposed to be her right-hand man. To prove his loyalty and competence, Rin ordered him to kill Vex. Rodham's plan is to gain Vex's trust, then utterly destroy him.

Cadence Shearwill

Cadence is an enthusiastic airship pilot trainee born and raised in Aelindra City, in the Rising West of Genesaris. His stunt piloting skills are second to none, although he has not gotten his pilot license yet as he is underage. Cadence's father was Elson Shearwill, who used to be one of the Hensch Men in the company of Baron Augustus Von Hensch (played by bigfatcat). Cadence's father died a heroic death while on a quest with Von Hensch to save a princess, but stories that his father had told of his exploits and adventures had prompted Cadence to follow in his footsteps, much to the worry of his mother.

Together with Von Hensch and a crew of heroes, Cadence piloted the Red Wind and they blew a military ship stolen by pirates out of the sky. The crew survived a magestorm that had occurred during the chase, and were joined by a group of merchants they saved from the pirates. The crew suffered casualties, injuries and missing members, and lost their airship in the end, but through the merchants' salvaging of the pirate ship's remains, they were gifted with a new airship, the Red Wind II. Being a wanderlust adventurer who couldn't have taken care of the airship, Von Hensch passed the title of Captain over to the young Cadence.

Age: 24

Height: 6 ft / 183 cm

Weight: 183 lbs / 83 kg

[BACKSTORY]

Matahari has belonged to the Rajput Brigade of Kalopsia since the tender age of 6. He is the second son in his family, and has five other siblings. His birth was possible only because his mother was saved from ghouls by a Solanki while she was pregnant with him. As a gesture of gratitude, his family pledged their child's life to the Brigade. Trained well in the art of fighting, Matahari's strengths are his speed and flexibility, which have allowed him to frequently gain the upper hand against foes stronger than himself. Watching him fight is almost like watching a deadly dance. He gained his Honours through the Calling Ceremony when he was 16, at a younger age than most of the Brigade. Matahari did not hesitate when presented with the blood-tainted wine that would seal his fate; the secret of the Rajput Brigade that would eventually turn them into ghouls. The young man had always been prepared to give his life for the sake of his country. His dedication to the service of Kalopsia earned him a place among the ranks of the Agnivanshi, an honour that his family is proud of.
