Several hours passed like that, preparations coming and going, and eventually the appointed time approached. Leo and Luna sat at their designated spot, hidden behind some illusory wall paneling. Luna pulled out a time-piece, a cheap magic device really but a useful one, and confirmed the hour. The twins didn't need to say anything, both knew to have their ears tuned for the sounds of thieves falling for carefully hidden traps, but the expected cries of surprise failed to find them.

Luna frowned, a motioned for Luna to stay put while he broke cover. The boy made his way to the nearest entrance. The portal was out of sight from their hiding place, and he was worried to discover that it appeared someone had broken past the defenses. The illusion that had been protecting that particular doorway had been very neatly dispelled. Leo narrowed his eyes. It would be incredibly difficult to break a spell so quietly and efficiently without knowing about it beforehand, or seeing some part of the spellcasting to better ascertain what type of magic one was dealing with. He returned to Luna. "Something's wrong," he whispered, so quietly it was all but telepathic. "We need to find Tobias and Sebastion. Something fishy is going on here."

Tobais Was standing on the second floor hall way having killed all lights. Any sign of movemnent or any footstep were to be easily detected by him as he waited in the center. Wires rapped around his fingers waiting for something to virbate or go slack. Although he doubted they'd go slack. His wife's were near invisible in the light and in a room of no light you'd have to have clairvoyance or be ble to supernaturally see. He had left. Tag to the basement entrance keeping an eye on the door down there just in case. However he knew that the stairs had been flooded with Concrete so that way it would be hard to even notice the basement let alone enter. Although the concrete was made to be easily dissolved by the right solution

Luna and Leo crept through the silent house, eyes and ears as open as possible. Sebastion should be in the command center the group had set up in the top floor of the home, while Tobias was set up on the second floor. The pair padded their way towards the staircase slowly. At one point, Leo motioned for a halt. He brought down a one-way illusion that was supposed to be housing one of the guards in an alcove. The space was, however, empty.

Alarmed, the twins crept quickly to another hiding spot, and found one of the men there, unconscious, a heavy sleeping spell keeping him that way for the duration. Leo bit back a curse and led the pair back to the stairwell. The twins climbed the stairs carefully, knowing that they were probably setting off whatever alarms Tobias had been setting, and hoping that he would recognize the intrusion as the twins. They had to let him know that something was up.

Tobais felt the wires vibrate. He pulled closing his web around them. " Sound off should it be someone I know, if your a theif just give up now." He waited for a response sipence would give the same answer as a theife. He knew the voices of everyone and anyone important. That includes the twins. Unless it was a trick.

"It's us Tobias," called Leo from the stairwell. He spoke quietly, confident that Tobias would pick up on his words utilizing, whatever power of surveillance the man appeared to posses. "Me and Luna. Something is wrong."

The twins started walking further into the second floor. "I think at least one of the thieves is already in the house. We found one of the guards knocked-out, and another was missing. It's weird. They circumvented my illusions like they knew they were there beforehand. Something's off."

Tobais listened to their words. Slowly loosening the wires in their way. He waited for something that wasn't them to touch the wires and alert him. " Could it be possible the Theives had an inside man for this job? " he slowly lit a candle so the other two could properly see in his realm of darkness. " As of yet no one had entered this hall way. They may be circumventing me by straight up avoiding this floor. However there are still many trap that wouldn't be very easy to disarm on all the floors. The only trap free rooms is the front door and the thrid floor hall as Sebastian and his men can't move through the lines very efficiently.

Leo nodded. "Seems plausible. Me and Luna are going to roam, try to keep searching. I don't like the way this looks and I bet if we stay in our original positions we're going to get run-around."

So saying, the twins set off again, carefully navigating towards the third floor. Luna was having obvious difficulty remembering the layout of the traps, but Leo was skilled in pointing them out. As they went, they saw several things sprung without apparent targets, and several of the more annoying illusions dispelled. It made them both think, whoever was dodging their snares was very well versed in the house's new defenses.

Tobais laid new traps as he went for the third floor. These new traps would be quite effective because he laid them around the old ones. When someone went to avoid the old ones they'd get caught by the second.

It was on the third floor that the twins encountered the first intruder. The shadowy figure was carrying something and coming towards them.  so Leo quickly pulled Luna into an alcove on the wall while setting up an illusion, darkening the area around the twins to make them more difficult to see. The gambit seemed to have worked, because the figure walked closer, seemingly without noticing anything amiss. As it approached, the twins were shocked to realize that the figure was one of the guards, walking silently down the corridor, carrying another one of the guards slung over his shoulder.

He walked past the twin's hiding space and they considered their options. Quickly, they settled on brute force. Leo spawned illusory cudgels in both of their hands, and they crept up behind the errant guard. They struck at the same time. Luna took out the man's knees as Leo covered his mouth and bore him to the ground. Luna extricated the unconscious guard as her brother worked on restraining the waking one. Illusory ropes and a gag had him bound in short order, and the twins dragged their prizes back to their hiding spot, intent on getting some answers.

Tobais came up the stairs once the new traps were set and began to creep down the hall way looking for the two twins. " Hey were are you guys? Also the lights shouldn't be put up here..." he used the wall as a bearing.

The twins couldn't hear Tobias, preoccupied as they were. Leo was busy pressing their captive for answers while Luna tried, unsuccessfully, to rouse the sleeping guard. Their, 'interviewee,' refused to answer any queries, and Leo was beginning to have a sneaking suspicion that it wasn't that the man wouldn't respond, but that he couldn't. The captive guard's reactions were slow, almost as if he were in a trance, and he hardly seemed to see or perceive anything. He was pretty one-minded about retrieving the sleeping guard, struggling against his bonds and reaching for the other man.

Realizing there was nothing for it, Leo knocked the man unconscious, and the twins moved on from their hiding place, progressing upwards.
