A new land ( survivors destination:High rock)

Recommended Posts

Chapter I

They surveyed the landscape"dry and arid" one said" looks like were high above the clouds"said another"Captain Lewis" a third said as she showed him the cargo room "utterly destroyed"she said and the clone was gone probably lost in the ocean of this world Lewis thought all they had were their weapons,food 3 Nano eggs and one Buborium nuke . Then some one found civilization.

In the distance was a floating castle and onward they went the 17 out of 20 survivors headed to their new home High rock.It seemed that High rock had a food problem people were going hungry on the streets they had an idea but it was temporary , their food stocks were full to the brim it seemed to be the only cargo unharmed by the crash.we have enough food to feed everyone for about a month in the mean Time we need to set up irrigation points and we need a molecular binder the captain thought but alas the only binder got destroyed. So then they went to work with whatever they had left.

They had setup a tower made out of stone that collected the water from the clouds then they created a specialized farm, it wasn't that great though but when the crops grew it would feed the people here eventually and grow the kingdom "Captain Lewis they had no king and they want you to be their king".

Captian Lewis had accepted this and became king of high rock its surname became Lexdord (emporian safe keep) Soo what now you ask?

they started gaining an army  ( equipped with fire arms) and started on a wall. Lewis still saw that some people were still hungry.

Lewis needed a solution when he looked at Buborium "that we could trade for food no one else has in in this world maybe worth a shot" but this would violate an important law Buborium is held as a prize resource so giving even one for food seemed to be seen as mutiny "but what if we dont sell the seeds.. just the product itself one problem though there was no large supply of oil around..or was there?

chapter 2

He used one of the nano eggs to construct a Buborium mill( basically a giant mostly tall dome with mechanical arms above and below a pit waiting for the oil and seeds. " Capitan Lewis  we've found a source of oil and gas near the swamplands and we are asking permission to set up camps along the location an deploy some upper slaves there as well As guards just incase." Said male survivor number 2 (this could be you!)  Lewis thought about this for awhile until replying " yes you may begin tomorrow morning  "

The travel took 3 Days and 2 nights, they then arrived at the marsh and begain planceing down wood planks. And tents as well as cement they had brung with them to construct the settlement.

Meanwhile back at the castle things were becoming hazy " sire we were wrong about the food it wont last as long as we thought.....

The sun beat down relentlessly as they worked. Markus blinked furiously, trying to get rid of the salty sweat that was stinging his eyes. His hands were occupied with the plank that he was moving.

"Damn, they couldn't let us rest for a moment first after that hot journey," he muttered under his breath. His partner on the other side of the plank looked around nervously for any guards that might have heard. None had seemed to. They were busy organising all of the slaves.

"Count your blessings. At least we have food supplies here. I heard that the problem is getting worse," the man replied.

Markus grunted in half-acknowledgement and heaved the plank into place. At least the sun was going down soon, and that would give some reprieve from the summer heat. His legs were sore from the journey, and he was looking forward to dinner. The guards had to let them stop at some point.

Archmaic strolled down the strip of land near the marsh, sun beating down on his face, trapping heat in his mask. Normally he would be at the castle, thinking of ways to solve the food problem. He didn't care. Walks helped him think. Besides, it should be a crime to keep a curious sorcerer like him locked up in a giant stone cage all day.

After thinking of a few possible ideas, he stopped and looked at the slaves working in the hot sun. He wondered what they were thinking at that moment. Unlike most other people, he respected the slaves for the hard work they did.

He wondered if the slaves had any possible ideas to solve the food crisis, even if they were just workers. After a minute or two of looking, he decided to walk back towards the castle, unconvinced at any ideas they had.

"Days over junkies into your boxes" the man who had said this was a tall bearded rusty sounding old guy named Haggard George "you heard me get!" He said as he directed the slaves to the number stands as night began to fall @jaistlyn " This will tell who has to scout overnight!" He said

As Haggard called for them to stop, Markus scanned around for anyone who might need a hand in finishing up their tasks. The guards were impatient with them, but yet would be infuriated by a job haphazardly left behind - they always had some kind of excuse to blame them. And it was not as if the slaves could do anything about it. The guards were the ones with the weapons and the resources. Anyone who didn't obey would be starved, or worse still, beaten up.

"Let me help you with that," he said to a young lad, who was struggling to pull his plank in place. After the job was done, he wiped his hands on his shirt and clapped the lad on his back. "Well, the guards seem up for a chance game. Shall we choose the same number?" Markus noticed the figure walking away from them, a strange man in a mask. Who was that person? He wasn't a guard or a slave. There was no mention of anyone else coming out here with them.

"I'll just go with the random number six," he turned back and chose his 'box'.

At night fall meny of the slaves had mud homes the lucky ones however had brick houses , as a reward for good behavior the slaves were given a chance to build a farm and hunt for food, but of course it was time to grsb out some slaves to scout the unknown swamps "alright all even numbers wake up, its scout'n time " he ordered The soldiers to wake up the even numbered slaves "as youve might have or not have heard ruins of a town were Discovered and ive been ordered to send you there by the king himself and you must wear these " he showed them a neck collar " take them off they explode tug them you get electrocuted, it will beep if you escape the 18 mile perimeter and if you keep going its going to explode , this is just to keep you from running ,only a precaution..you lucky i didnt design them or it would've been worst!" Archmaic strolled towards the castle, only realizing then that he had no intention of even going to the marsh. "Oh well, observing slaves is always a fun task. Beating them is the hard part." He grimaced behind his mask at the thought of it.

He stopped in front of the castle gate, alerting the guards to his presence and assuming they would let him in.

Dylan... once a proud warrior of his warrior of his people now sold onto slavery. He toiled around everyday carting and lifting heavy things and seeing the fact he didn't need food or sleep he did it without end. He wished he could fly off and escape this horrid situation, but instead he was chained and wearing a collar designed to prevent him from transform into his true and mighty form. So he was forced to toil away with the humans. He carried large rocks and logs across the marsh as the slaves were permitted to create there own houses. It was not exactly a pleasant experience and he had no one to talk to. Who would want to talk to the freak monster? He had horns and scales... literally  an upright dragon. Most of the other slaves were afraid he'd eat them, but he'd have no reason to do that. As an autotroph all he needed to eat were materials needed to repair the damage that occurred to his body and most of those minerals were found in rocks.

Haggard had sat in his cooled military trailer reading the law changes which made him upset "Malcom why do ye care so much about these slaves" he said to himself as he read 'the upper slaves may become freed if ether they bring/do something of great help to the kingdom or they have good behaviour for 11 months'

"I wish i made the laws!" He said as he threw the screen on the ground but the a smile came on his face ' you may smite them if they are vampire related or are vampires ' "oh ho ho finnaly its time for an extermination " then he went out side to command the soilders to exterminate the vampires within the slave ranks when the ground begain to shake...... @Neondragon7 @jaistlyn

King Lewis

"So Malcolm has you sister found out where we are ?"

"Yes captian she said she found star BX-3 you know the gray one thats actually blue anyways we'er somewhere between Alpha sector and the tainted sector ,we also found bad news this system is currently moving away from BX-3 in 12 years it will be unreachable , this is mainly because in the way for the next 500 years would be quasars and blackholes, unless theirs orbit somehow changes miraculously, also theres another problem this system that this planet  resides in is in more then just our galaxy but entire others if not calculated right we might end up well somewhere i think" Malcom said

King Lewis thought about this for a moment when interupped by a man screaming "there be an earthquake in the east "

"How bad is it" said king Lewis

"Very" the man said @Bkfootball

Markus groaned as the guards dragged them out of their sleeping quarters. It almost seemed as if the guards had nothing better to do than to torment them. The collar was snapped onto his neck, and he gave an experimental tug on it, though not enough to trigger the electricity. The cold steel sat heavy on his collar bone.

The slaves stood in lines, restless as to what might happen. In such a small area, rumours from the guards quickly spread among the slaves as well. The swamps were dangerous, went the word. Men have died in there. Somehow, though, they had not been sent out yet. The guards were making them wait… for something. Whispers went up among the slaves. Plans to escape while they were out there, and that the collar was an empty threat and they couldn't have invested money to create such a device just to kill them, as it would be just a waste of resources… Markus heard, but did not partake in the discussions. He had been on good behaviour, and he knew that they would be released sooner or later. There was no need to risk his life.

Suddenly, the ground shook. Men screamed and threw themselves onto the ground, the neat lines broken in panic. Brick and mud houses alike collapsed, and it became a twist of luck that those who had been woken up for scouting were free from being crushed by the buildings. Despite the guards' shouts for the slaves to stay put, Markus stumbled his way towards the houses to help pull any survivors out of the buildings, while the ground continued to churn.

"Oh, pardon my manners, sir." Archmaic kneeled before Lewis for a few seconds before continuing." But the earthquake is quite bad," he said, looking back towards the horizon.

As the ground shook the ruins of the lost city began to rise until finally, the earthquake stopped and an area 7 miles west of the settlement was no longer just emptiness but now supported numerous structures

"Time for you all to head that direction" said haggard as he motioned the slaves to the moss covered ruins

But little did anyone know deep within it a fire kindled within and a hold shine amongst the walls deep within the bowels of this abandon city. @Neondragon7

King Lewis saw the wizard reply

2 hours ago, Bkfootball said:

"Oh, pardon my manners, sir." Archmaic kneeled before Lewis for a few seconds before continuing." But the earthquake is quite bad," he said, looking back towards the horizon.

"It is indeed...i wonder how though, we are floating not amongst the ground on top of magma plates, you shall investigate the strange tremors for you have more experience in the swamp area itself, would you require anything to venture there?" He said @Bkfootball

Emily the Buborium overseer oversaw the buborium usage and wondered one thing as she drove to the loud power plant " how would we expand?"

Dylan was worried when the slaves were called up to be inspected. Where they going to punish him for being a freak? Was he going to be culled? Just then an earthquake struck, but as soon as it was started it stopped. Then he and all the other slaves were told to go to some random ruins. He saw this as opportunity and this was his chance. He melted his collar and transformed into his true and powerful form. He could raid the ruins and present it to the king then he could have respect and power himself. He flew off casting his shadow for all to see. For once he wanted to be known.

The earthquake stopped abruptly as structures rose mysteriously in the distance. Markus spotted the youth he had helped earlier in the day, and joined him as Haggard motioned them towards the ruins.

"Come on in, let's go yeah?" Markus clapped the back of the youth to get his spirits up. "Alright OK," the young man answered uncertainly.

Suddenly, there was a commotion around one of the slaves, the one that everyone shunned because he was so different. Guards and slaves alike scattered in panic, unsure of what it is, what it does, what it is, what it isn't. It was like a stage light went and shined on down the slave's transformation. The dragon spread his wings and flew, and Markus shielded his eyes from the dust that was kicked up in his wake. The dragon was a magnificent beast indeed, and he headed in the direction of the ruins. It was unclear whether he was a friend or foe, but it seemed to make the guards more eager to get the expedition going.

"Raise those hands! This is our party!" The slaves were split into smaller groups to explore the ruins, and Markus, as one of the slaves closest to freedom, was placed as the leader of the group. Markus looked at the macabre team made up of trembling, anxious men. The lack of confidence was sure to get them killed. The best way to proceed was to think themselves as warriors, as heroes who would be known as the brave ones to find a new land. The fear was there to prove that courage exists.

"Tonight is the night, we'll fight till it's over," he rallied the team. "So we put our hands up like the ceiling can't hold us!"
