Sanonymous 1042 Posted October 8, 2017 He stayed up through the entire night, enjoying the calmness of the night sky. He had little need for sleep, he thinks of it as a nuisance and usually uses the schedule he calls "the sleepless owl" (Uberman schedule) so he can catch up on his lost sleep later. He is already sitting on the terrace of the tavern, enjoying the serenity before the drunken patrons leave and the breakfast-hungry customers enter. His horse would arrive in front and simply wait for his owner. His horse, named "Kaze", has been with him for over a decade and whom he raised since his birth. He treats him like his companion, his brother, his friend. Kaze waited patiently until his master called him. As he saw the winged man fall to the woman, he sensed it was time for him to leave. He stood up from the chair and walked towards the two pair, his horse following behind him without command. "I am ready," he said "Are you quite certain to wear those garbs and no shoes? Hiking a mountain is no joke. Your clothing provides no protection from sharp branches, the cold night and various insects and animals. The choice of going barefooted is also not wise since sharp rocks, leeches and if your rumours are true, booby traps could pose a great threat to you. I suggest before we leave, we find some more appropriate clothing for this journey" He advised her @Eternity @Last Magician @ODSTDRAGON @Bkfootball @Anarchy's Finest @Holden 3 Holden, Eternity and Anarchy's Finest reacted to this
Bkfootball 166 Posted October 8, 2017 Archmaic had woken up, realizing that nobody had attempted to steal from him during the night. "Disappointing," he thought to himself before standing up. He used an enchantment to enchant his robes, causing the "eyes" of his mask and various parts of his clothing to become neon green, looking almost like a lava lamp. The color shone on the side of the building. He walked out of the alleyway and looked toward the tavern, already seeing four people there, as well as a horse. He strolled up behind them and simply stood there like he had nothing better to do, other than twirl his staff around occasionally. 3 Anarchy's Finest, Holden and Eternity reacted to this
Anarchy's Finest 84 Posted October 9, 2017 Morning crept through the window of the room at the Inn he was staying in, a groan escaping him as he rose from the bed he was on. Taking a moment to work the kinks out of his body, he dressed himself and took a short while to examine his equipment to ensure it was in good shape. Satisfied with his examination, he left the room, taking a moment to grab a quick breakfast before retrieving his horse from the nearby stable. Pulling up his cloak's hood to deflect the sun from his eyes, he guided the horse to the agreed upon location, seeing the winged individual, the swordsman, and their mysterious benefactor. Callen stopped his horse a short distance away, catching the tail end of the swordsman's dialogue. "Morning. I'm afraid I have to agree with the swordsman on this one. Unless you've got some other gear hidden somewhere out of sight, that outfit's not the most suited for this type of journey. Callen added. The archer hopped of his horse, reins in one hand as the other reached for one of the judge's pens on his belt, absently spinning it around his fingers as he joined his new companions in waiting for the rest of their potential group members to arrive. 2 Holden and Eternity reacted to this
Eternity 1695 Posted October 12, 2017 Her ears twitches to the sound of flapping wings, her eyes turned up to meet Icarus as he landed in front of Sune. Her face lite up like the sun with a smile, her eyes following others who too joined them. Concern for the way she was dressed and lack of shoes grew among those who've already joined her that morning for the big journey. Looking down to her bare feet she let out a laugh, watched as her toes wiggles under her command. “Oh! Have no worries friends!” Looking over her own garb, she would reach up and fold her arms behind her head. “I travel bare foot all the time, and I'll never catch my clothing on a stick or branch of any sort!” Rolling back on the balls of her heels, her hands falling back to grab the walking stick that seemed to stand on its own. She would let out another giggle as she felt a slip of her stifled magic possess the stick. Looking about over the others, Sune’s smile faded for a moment. “I think we're waiting on one more?” Leaving the question out there for anyone to answer, she would become cheery once more. 1 Anarchy's Finest reacted to this
Last Magician 129 Posted October 14, 2017 The boat drifted slightly above the ground, rocking on a gentle shallow, as though pitched near the shore. It floated down the road, minding the rudder, with my lantern hook set to the mast, the lantern itself unlit as it swung gently with the rocking of the boat. Pressing a rune on the rudder, the boat scooted forward if carried on a summer breeze, stopping in front of the rest of the "Morning everyone. I trust everyone slept well, ready for an adventure?" I asked, my words flanked by a plume of delightfully heady hookah smoke. It rolled oily up over the brim of my hat, still never meeting anyone's gaze, and I was bundled up with extra blankets. I was clearly sitting on a locked chest, resting atop a tea pillow. In the boat with me was a cauldron, an unfolded easel, some spare wood, a whole bunch of rope, a block and tackle, as well as a few sacks of raw materials, notabily iron, lead, and copper ore. The only thing of truly magical comport seemed to be a densely wrapped bundle of leaves sitting in the center of the cauldron-pot. Wrapped arround my wrist, there was a turquoise charm, a snake coiled into a bundle, at first looking like some fossilized shell but clearly ending in a snake's head, quite a bit of that oily astral quality coming off of it from those that were so inclined. The only thing beyond normal that was stranger then the sight of the magician was the quite visible circle of white light that was cast around his boat. "I can fit about two on here with me if anyone should care to join me." I started, unfolding an umbrella so none of the dawn sun to deflect some of that early morning sun from warming me up to quickly. 2 Holden and Anarchy's Finest reacted to this
Sanonymous 1042 Posted October 26, 2017 The samurai warrior needs no shade. He liked the heat, it warms his body from the many cold nights he usually slept alone. It's.... Comforting to say the least. "I need not of your shade, we best be going if we are to reach halfway our destination by sunset" He said as he got on top of his horse. The morning sun, even while it was still in a few hours after dawn, was quite bright and hot. The smell of grass, stone and miles and miles of isolation was one of the reasons he liked to visit this tavern so often. As his horse clopped it's shoes to the ground, he waits until he is given permission to go. @Eternity @Last Magician @ODSTDRAGON @Bkfootball @Anarchy's Finest @Holden 3 Holden, Eternity and Anarchy's Finest reacted to this
Anarchy's Finest 84 Posted October 27, 2017 "If you're certain that your garb will not cause you any problems, I suppose I can put my skepticism aside." Spoke the archer after a quick explanation from the woman. Soon the eccentric magician had arrived, resting atop a floating, glowing boat laden with supplies. 'Some people like to travel in style, I suppose' He thought, a little taken aback by the unique choice of transportation. Waiting a short time with the group for any other possible attendees, the Ranger heard the swordsman speak up. "I agree." Callen nodded in approval. "I believe we've waited a sufficient amount of time, and we're burning daylight." 1 Holden reacted to this
Eternity 1695 Posted October 29, 2017 (edited) With the attention on her bare feet and the arrival of the magician on a floating boat, Sune was ready to begin their long trip. Looking down to her wiggling toes, she understood that the skin on her feet was much like the pads of her paws. Beaming her smile up to the last to arrive, she spun her walking stick around for show. “Well, I think that it’s time to hit the dusty ol’ trail..” Sune had a light and fun air about her, thriving on the idea of leading a group of adventures towards a whole new world waiting to be discovered by those who never knew it existed. Thousands of years had passed leaving this land undiscovered by the outside world, although it was how the people wanted it so. Now the leader was ready to reveal their culture to those in the dark, bringing light and new acquaintances to their hidden land. Having set up shop in the small village nearest to the Hoderfuer mountains, Sune was able to accomplish her first goal of building a group of adventures. Being the messenger sent out by the Queen herself, but also by the cosmos themselves. Time had come for the city in the mountain to be discovered. Not waiting a moment longer than needed, Sune started to walk away from the tavern. Using the walking stick as she went, she would hold a bright beaming grin upon her face. The ears on top of her head would shift and twitch, as she listened to the small group of brave souls follow behind her. Spinning around she would walk backwards a way, looking over the group. Satisfied with what she had accomplished so far, she knew that the rest of the journey wouldn’t be nearly as easy. Turning back to face forward on their path out of the village, she would prepare herself to make it to the dangerous path to Crystallo Stella. Eternity 1695 Posted December 27, 2017 Sune lead the group of adventures out of the village on to the paths that lead towards the Hodenaufer mountain range which ran along the east coast of Orisia. “The green and grassy range stretches rather far in an empty vastness. While it once held some historic value with Orisia, serving as one of the battlegrounds during several of Orisia's civil war, the Hodenaufer Range remains unoccupied. The name was given to the Range in respect for one of Orisia's old vampiric champions, Giles Hodenaufer. Dating back to the origins of Orisia, the empty green sea of grass leaves one mystery behind: Hodenaufer's Circle.” Hodenaufer’s Circle wasn’t the only mystery on the mountain range, a whole other world was about to be discovered by this band of misfits, adventurers with different goals in mind. Some wished to find treasure, others were just enticed by the mystery of it all. Some thought there was so much more to finding this new world, so much was left to the imagination. Although they didn’t seem to far from the mountain range, the path would tend to seem easy until the ascent into the range itself. Sune knew the risks involved for the travelers, but most importantly she knew exactly where she was going. Unbeknownst to the others, she was a messenger from the people she told the stories about. Having long turned back forward to lead the group of travelers out of the village, she would whistle a cheery song. Bouncing along her bare feet, she would tap the walking stick at her right. The fox ears on her head would twitch to all the sounds around her, most of all she kept track of the others behind her. Turning her head to the side, she would speak to the others. “Be aware that once we enter into the mountains, the trails will become more dangerous, and there are some interesting creatures..” With that Sune continued her happy little tune, bouncing and occasionally spinning around to look back at the amazing group of people she had gathered in one location. 2 Anarchy's Finest and Rin reacted to this

Anarchy's Finest 84 Posted January 3, 2018 With the departure of some of their party for reasons known only to them, Callen and the remaining members made their way out of the village, led by their mysterious guide. The archer's horse moved a respectable distance behind the woman, leaving him to his thoughts. He was excited for the chance to explore a previously unknown area, listening to the explanation given about the mountain range they were slowly approaching. The man also took notice of their guide's behaviour, eagerly bouncing along while whistling a cheery tune. Something about her was bothering him, but for sake of fairness he chose to simply wait and see. It didn't do well to suspect treachery of one you virtually know nothing about. He returned his attention to the woman when she got on the topic of 'Interesting creatures', something the knight, and he too, wished clarification for. "How interesting are we talking here. Rare, unknown creatures that are only dangerous to the uninitiated? Or something that will reduce us to bones with but a thought?" Callen asked politely. Compared to many others, the archer was far more 'squishy' than most. Ranged combat and sword fighting were his strong suits, and he did have some magical equipment if he got into a bind like his special arrows or his cloak, but the man was far from a powerhouse like those often seen combating eldritch horrors. Knowing what sort of dangers they would be facing would be a great advantage, allowing them to pick their battles carefully without potentially creating more problems on the no doubt arduous journey still ahead of them. 1 Eternity reacted to this
Bkfootball 166 Posted January 7, 2018 Archmaic followed behind the rest of the crew, looking around at the beautiful scenery, at the green grass stretching endlessly away from him. It would be a nice place to fight a battle, he reflected. Realizing he had fallen behind the rest, he ran back up behind them and caught the end of the guide's explanation. "The trails will become dangerous, and there are some interesting creatures." He noticed her joyful and cheery attitude, denoting that either she was excited to see the creatures, excited to show others whatever she was about to show them, or putting on a facade and leading them into a death trap. The last one dropped his attitude a bit, but it wasn't like he wouldn't tell if she was. Noticing he had zoned out yet again, he noticed that the archer had spoken up this time. "Rare, unknown creatures that or only dangerous to the uninitiated? Or something that will reduce us to bones with but a thought?" Archmaic chuckled a bit at the last sentence. While Callen didn't seem the slightest bit fearful, he could tell what he was thinking. Besides, a mage is much less protected than an archer is, as they prefer to increase their power with light robes, amulets, and the sort, and not a thought about even light armor like an archer would. Archmaic was no different in this regard. 2 Eternity and Anarchy's Finest reacted to this
Eternity 1695 Posted January 14, 2018 The questions that came from behind her made her ears flex, she would spin around walking backwards. Making eye contact with those who were questioning her about the creatures that they would possibly encounter, she would smile. “Good questions!” Hopping back around on the path that was leading further and further into the woods that would become thicker the further they moved up towards Hodenaufer Mountain. The bounciness in Sune’s feet came to a halt, as she took on a more serious stable pace. “Well many of the creatures that are found here can be large and deadly, small and silent.” Thinking back upon what she was instructed, she would smile to herself. “Many are rare creatures of legend, some are as common throughout the land of Orisia.” She never once promised a straight easy path to the underground city, oh no it was going to be quite the adventure. Hours having passed as the group traveled, they entered the pass that led them up into higher elevations of the mountain. The forest of the mountain become thicker and much larger, the massive trees would tower higher than some of the grand buildings in the cities of Orisia. The sun would fight to pass through the thick tree top of the forest, making it much cooler on the ground. Small animals could be heard moving through the bush, as they ran in fear of the group who carefully moved further up into the mountain range. The current temperature of the landmass fell to a steady 60 degrees, while a cool breeze came in from the coast. With the sudden change in the temperature as the adventurers moved further into the mountain pass, Sune would find a tree to stop and lean against. Fatigue didn’t always set in with her, but she knew the others would begin to feel it as they had traveled for a long period of time that day. Soon the sun would begin to set, and the temperatures would fall with the rise of the moon. “I suggest we camp here for the night, soon the sun will be far too gone to continue travel.” With that Sune, would lean her walking stick against the trunk of the tree. Sliding down to sit against that very trunk, she would watch the others as they would settle in.
Eternity 1695 Posted February 16, 2018 That night Sune’s party made camp under the stars, around a hot burning fire. The messenger watched as the camp laughed and shared stories, each carrying a large amount of courage to take on this sort of journey. The night was quiet and soothing, a well-deserved evening of rest before the journey continued the next morning. Sune rested up by the trunk of the tree, and she kept her eyes on those she led towards the great underground city of Crystallo Stella. Every now and then Sune would wake to see the creatures of the forest move around them, some daring enough to sniff over the boots or bedding of those that dared to brave the thick ancient forests of the mountain. The deeper they would go the harder it would become to move through the vegetation. The morning sun rose with the sound of the birds, each of the party woke and stretched. Some moved about finding their morning boosts, some lit a pipe, others made coffee over the fire. Sune on the other hand stood up with a stretch, her arms reaching high up towards the canopy of the forest. Letting out a long yawn she would drop her hands down to come through her long black locks after smoothing back her fox ears. Stretching her calves and her toes, Sune found one or two of the party staring at her. They still disapproved of her not wearing shoes, which made her wiggle her toes at them for a moment. Even though she was a very light-hearted being, she had the discipline and power when it really meant something. In all seriousness Sune stepped out from under the tree to address the party. “Lets continue this quest, we’ve got a new place to share with the world of Valucre..” Giving them a brief smile, she would turn to grab for the long walking stick she had brought from the town where she gathered the party so brave to take on this journey. Everything around them was so green and smelled so fresh. The trees were tall and thick, each covering the ground with a canopy of thick leaves and branches. Bushes and other ground level flora would be come thicker the further into the forest they traveled, the air cooler than out on the side of the mountain. Some of the creatures seen by the party would be different than what they would see in other places, the curiosity of the group could prove to be a good and a bad thing. Sune the Messenger pushed forward down the fading path into the thick of it all, bouncing lightly on the heels of her bare feet.
