Suddenly, they stopped. Koji's preternatural senses tipped him off that something was amiss, that Kimiko had fallen into a patch of gravity; Unless she'd lunged or thrown herself upon the Empress intentionally which was wildly unlikely. He was in fact fast enough to have stopped the even from happening as it just had, though accidents were the best of teachers. Katiya's emotional endurance, and sympathy for the blind woman was endearing to a point. Though he couldn't help but think how Kimi herself would have reacted in this situation. In comparison she was much more severe, strict. A quality acquired from her mother. While he is a rather healthy fan of chaos, he could appreciate the less human touch to it that much more. That and he was thankful of how tolerant Katiya was being of Kimiko. Not only did she help her up, but she even gave her even the slightest of affection. She touched her more at this point than Koji has managed to.

"Truly uncanny, as if you were a sculpted piece of artwork."

He made no verbal remark, though his mind continued to scrutinize Kimiko. He couldn't disagree that she heavily resembled Kimi. However, there were still a few major differences that kept him from being as impressed as Katiya seemed. With the arrival of a hand maiden, Kimiko was passed off to be escorted. Assistance hadn't crossed his mind simply because she'd managed to find her way to them all by herself. Walking from one building to the next shouldn't be so difficult, right? Likewise, he was less human than he appeared. Coddling never made the weak strong. In finding a weakness through blinding, Kimiko had to find the strengths necessary to compensate. Something only she could manage to do on her own. Still, perhaps a mentor could be beneficial. He'd have to talk to Kenshinobu about coaching her into being more aware without being able to see. Continuing their walk, Katiya finally answered his question.

"I would have to agree, an old wives tale I read about suggested the way a woman's stomach is shaped. Either way, I can only assume the child will have a fighting spirit like it's mother."

"He will be a monster like his father as well. She looks pretty human because of her magics and modifications, though Noi is still Nelrosis at the core. I'm eager to see how her cursed lineage mixes with my Demonic and Draconic respectively. She's nowhere near showing yet, though we suspect that Celine is next to have a son after Noi. It has been foreseen, and she is in the early stages of her second pregnancy already. They already worry over things like names, though I'm certain I'll know what to call them when I see them. Just like I've done with Kaori, and the Prince Akui."

Kimiko's lips pressed into a thin line as she worried about the repercussions for her clumsiness, but there was no violence acted upon her. The Empress's voice sounded, and it was clear that there would be no punishment, at least not now. Instead, Katiya chose to touch the blind woman that so closely resembled the late Empress. It was curious if her eyes had also been red before they had been plucked from their sockets.

The Empress's hand was surprisingly kind, and Kimiko found that she liked the chill of her skin. It was familiar, the cold. So she leaned into the touch and nodded at her suggestion regarding her haplessness.  Of course, the seventh concubine didn't utter a word or sound in response. She instead allowed the Empress to explore her and analyze her to her heart's content. Kimiko remained still and enjoyed the attention for as long as Katiya allowed it and then fell into place behind them again as a servant escorted her.

Kimiko remained silent as she continued to follow, listening to their conversation. After a while, a familiar feminine voice hummed in her mind and then silence reigned again.

Impressed was far reaching, had the seer brought them a blind woman who used her senses like a ghost, she might be inclined to think differently. Though she didn't fault the woman either, how could one judge when she barely knew her? Kimiko leaned into her hand, surprising and amusing Katiya. Koji knew Katiya better than anyone, he had to know she was more like an analytical scientist. Research now, research again, eventually Kimiko would blossom into her own person. Only then could she really cast judgement. The servant had pulled her a fair distance away from the couple. Kimiko could feel the woman's hand, perhaps map out and understand the servant was a bit older than herself. She would be curious to see who Koji would place to train Kimiko to use her blindness as a weapon. A few months time and she wondered what kind of person the mute woman was to become.

Upon hearing Celine was due once more, her brows rose with some surprise. He might catch the hint of jealousy since they had been fairly apart, something she would reconcile later, for now she continued her stroll with ease.

"They already worry over things like names, though I'm certain I'll know what to call them when I see them. Just like I've done with Kaori, and the Prince Akui"

A small smile appeared on her, quickly masking her curiosity, "I have no doubt. A name can only come when seeing, dare I say holding a new energy, in my own opinion."

Aside from Noi she fell silent, until they reached the rooms, and stairs leading down to more, it would be Koji's choice on where to place her near her siblings. Guards stood near by and the buzzing of servants could be heard bringing fresh linens to the rooms. Their adventure would soon cease with Kimiko, at least until she was nestled within her confines, and until the Emperor had decided where she was to be next.

With the newest addition to the Harem delivered among her remaining sisters, the Emperor and Empress assuredly left her in the care of her new personal servant. Bathing and grooming came to pass, as did dressing. Whatever rough lifestyle the woman came from, she was now living in pampered luxury. As for her transition into blindness, Koji had the perfect idea to consider. He'd have to visit with Kenshinobu directly to converse about him personally training Kimiko to function efficiently on her own. Who better than the blind Okami himself? There was plenty for Kimiko to learn about her new life, and plenty her new life had to learn about her.

FIN.
