You cannot dodge or defend the dragonfire. That was the last post in the thread. Ed's defense does not negate the sanity drop in any way.

However, my merciful side won out. Ed's defense will negate 1 damage from it. Since he's still down, I dont hafta change anything, and its not as severe anymore.

Aye. And as before, when blocked, it only reduces damage. Not prevent it.

You.... Actually don't know what the skill does do you. I can't even write that as a question.

The true threat in Yh'mi is the urge to go idle it seems.

Also this is partly true. Since those who complete threads has only a slim chance of failing, it’s those threads that are incomplete are considered failures and affect the lore that way. It’s even written into the quest descriptions.

Area defence (3 uses). Block attacks and sanity drains from 1 attack for up to 5 characters around you within line of sight for the next turn only. It can include yourself.

Read as written, it's an unconditional full block and prevents the loss of both HP and sanity for 5 people/attacks on the next turn after cast.

Read as intended, that would call for a ruling from @jaistlyn, with the secondary question of how realm-specific mechanics may or may not apply.

EDIT: Even the regular defend implies that it blocks any attack that's defendable, not just one that only deals 1 HP. The wording of both implies that the defense is not dependent on the HP loss/power of the attack, and would likely be explicitly mentioned to block 1 HP's worth if that was how it worked, but that is once again up to jaist's ruling.

Realm-specific mechanics take precedence. GM’s rules. If Hollow says it blocks 1 damage, then it blocks 1 damage. (Otherwise, if that was the intended effect, he could separate the 3 damages into 3 attacks and it will do the same thing anyway.)

I am curious to see... How does one hurt oneself meditating? >_>

Inner turmoil? Inner demons? Over-stretched doing yoga? Tripping over something? Smited by the god of your faith? XD Anything can happen, it’s just up to how you want to write your character, haha.

But meditating elephant tho. Innnteresting! @EpicRome23
