Lagrimosa military promotion and recruitment thread

The short of it is that there is going to be a promotion celebration at base #34 which will honor those soldiers recently promoted to new ranks and which will be open to all levels of military. Although the event itself will not be formally canonized, interactions that spring from it can go anywhere their players please, and are super-dee-duper encouraged

Although limited to military personnel, soldiers at the private rank are allowed / encouraged which means that you can use this as a reason to sign yourself up, make some friends, and set yourself up for shenanigan-adventures!

For the actual post: super-likable post!

One very minor edit I want to suggest, and since we're strangers to one another I want to be clear that my perspective is that Edits are a part of the game and that revisions or the need for them strengthen the work, but near the end of your post you say celebrate "lateral" movement. I think you might change that to "vertical" movement since if it was lateral it would be to the side rather than up

It was a fun read, great character work, and I think captured the ambience well too. Did you spin that up in your head or reference previous posts?

Ooooh, lol you're totally right. I have no idea where, but I think I heard somobody. Maby another AI character, use lateral and I took it in the vertical context. Then put it in here without thinking.

I looked at a couple of prior posts to make sure I was not too off the ball in terms of theme, then I just winged it. I appreciate the positive reinforcement, after all the time I put into writing or designing other stuff beforehand. I was worried some might take the post as long winded and boring rather than establishing an interesting rp opportunity.

You can join if you want a charecter to become a private, then just enter them. Like I did.
