@Sirloin OOC:

The World of Satisfy

The world of Satisfy is unlike any other world ever created with Virtual Reality Technology. The scale of this world is twice the size of Earth with an almost unlimited amount of freedom offered to its players. Countless maps to uncover, limitless adventure to go through, very realistic gameplay, NPCs that are no different from humans on earth, an endless possible route to take, and a vast amount of quests, both hidden or not, made the world of Satisfy got the title of The Second Reality. Except for the rare few places that are still lacking in technology, almost everyone will know Satisfy. Its player covered up to 89% of the human population, making it the biggest and the best virtual reality game ever made in the history of Earth.

Somewhere on the Earth, where our story begins, two boys around the age of 17 were getting ready to start their very first adventure in the world of Satisfy. They are Daniel Taylor and Kenath Valez. Having known each other for as long as they can remember, they are as good as brothers who always seem together whenever they go. And, just like any siblings relationship, they can sometimes become rivals and compete against each other. The same thing happened before they begin their journey in Satisfy. The two boys made a bet to see which one of them will be the strongest after 6 months. Unbeknown to them, this seemingly harmless bet lead them to the path of no return, trapped in the middle of conspiracies that will change their entire life. Will they be able to pass through all the challenges and hold on? Or will all the suffering won them over and dragged them to the darkness?

Thus, let the story of our two heroes began!

Day One

Daniel paced his way back to school on foot, a small leather bag that although didn’t look like a backpack, served as much for him. Hands delicately wrapped around the straps that entangled his spine in weight. He trudged onward humming a small tune beneath l his breath that flowed with the rhythmic clopping noise that his shoes made as he walked. There was almost a conscious effort to keep a set rhythm, more specifically the three by three floating tune of a waltz. He imagined in his head such a thing hidden under a pale full moon people wearing masks, several violas and bass cello players playing as a quartet forming a haunting tune as the cold night's air swept over themselves. But, all of this fantasy ended for not and he looked up and around for Kenath as an intrusive thought wormed its way into his mind. He assumed he would’ve walked back with him, maybe something had happened that he wasn’t aware of. Daniel’s mind almost immediately went to a grim place before realizing that this was just simple paranoia. Regardless, he couldn’t help but wonder where Kenath was. Maybe he had faked illness to get sent home early just so he could get a head start. Daniel grinned, that was definitely something he could see him doing.

"IT'S HERE!!" Kenath ran from the opposite direction of Daniel while shouting as loud as he could.

Without thinking of whether his action would annoy the passerby or not, he kept rushing towards the figure of Daniel with loud footsteps. The fact that he came from the direction of his house proved that Daniel's assumption just now was right on spot.

Well, he did skip the last period by faking illness. But not because he wanted to get a head start. His way of thinking was too 'simple' to come up with such scheme. If not, he wouldn't be there, running back to the direction of his school just to meet Daniel when he could've stayed at his home and wait for him there. His messy uniform was drench in sweats. His fair skin that used to be as white as jades was a bit tanned with a red mark everywhere, most probably caused by sunburn. Who knew how long he stood outside when the temperature was high that day. Even his breath was shallow. Along with his tiny and skinny figure, he looks like he will collapse with just a poke of a finger.

But no matter how sorry his state was, it can't hide the big and radiant smile he has on his face. "It's here! It's here! It's here!! The login pods we have been waiting for are finally here!!! We can finally play Satisfy together!!!" Nate shouted excitedly as soon as he arrived right in front of Daniel. He didn't even bother catching his breath. This proved just how happy and excited he was at that time.

When he heard that the login pods he and Daniel ordered will be delivered to their house today, Kenath just couldn't stay still for even a few second. He kept glancing towards the direction of his house throughout the whole class. He finally can't wait any longer and decided to skipped the last period just so he can stand in the intersection of their house district and ask the passing package trucks of whether they had login pods delivered for his and daniel's house or not. At last, after stopping nearly five trucks and made all the driver annoyed by his act, Nate finally got a 'yes' as an answer. He was so happy he instantly ran back to school on foot, not even thinking of taking the bus, just so he can tell Daniel this news as soon as possible.

Nate stood in front of Daniel with both of his hands placed beside his hips. He lifted his innocent-looking face with a really smug expression as if saying, 'I'm cool right? I can know the package has arrived faster than the notification from the delivery service. I'm the best. Prise me!'

Nate’s shouting immediately caught Daniel’s attention and he looked up from his train of thought towards his friend, listening to his words he figured their login pods had arrived and the sly look of competition burned in his eyes, though they would be hard to see between the swaths of his hair. Putting together two and two together he figured his theory was at least partially correct.

Daniel chuckled again as Nate seemed to sprint  in his direction, and in response Daniel increased the length and speed of his strides, to get to him faster than such a leisurely pace would allow. As the two met Daniel scanned Nate over. Clearly, he had been outside for sometime now his skin red and tanned, gods knows what kind of trouble he had been getting himself into. It would certainly hurt come mornings light, he looked pitiful to say the least. But, just like a a frogs croak spreads across a pond so did the infectious enthusiasm of Nate that soon took its hold over Daniel as well, a rare sight to behold. His face took a wide smile upon his face and he pushed his hair away from his eyes.

“Seriously, are they here now!” He spoke quickly and excitedly, though no where near as filled with the level of gusto that Nate had spoken with. He simply wasn’t a creature that got to that level of excitement. He observed Nate again making sense of his body language he responded within one of his own, the look of a warrior emblazoned in his eyes, his chest puffed out slightly more than normal to display the confidence in his abilities and his smile grew more keen growing slightly to left. He was attempting to say something along the lines of ‘We’ll see who’s the best here once we get into the game.’

Kenath enthusiasm finally died down for a bit after he boasted his findings. Well, it honestly has something to do with Daniel. Even for Kenath, who has known Daniel since god knows when, it's still quite rare to see him smile that widely. He even pushed away the hair covering his eyes, revealing a good sight to be hold. Nate was a bit stunned for a moment. His little head was trying to think of the reason to why Daniel suddenly did that. Is he excited too? He must be, right?

Kenath's smile grew larger when he thought about it. It was a bit of a silly smile at first glance. But the more someone look at it, the more radiant it becomes. It was the kind of face that make the hand of the one who see him itches to pat his bright orange's hair, or even pinches his cheeks.

When he heard Daniel asked for confirmation, he nodded his head furiously a couple times to show how honest he was. "Just wait and see, I will definitely beat you this time! No Buts or Ors." Nate said confidently, still with his smug face that really invites the hand of others to do something about it. It just didn't go well with his childish face, like a kid arrogantly boasting about something he clearly didn't have. Annoying, yet, somewhat cute at the same time.

But this smug expression slowly collapsed when he remembered about all the complicated things that has to be learned before playing Satisfy. There are a lot of manuals, with different types of classes that has their own pros and cons. Nate just couldn't decide what class he's going to pick later on. Moreover, from what he got from his research about satisfy, which mostly end up making his head hurts, there are certain things that has to be considered before picking a class of one wants to advance level quickly. But he didn't get what kind of things that has to be considered first. This made his expression changed once again. The unfounded, but boundless confidence he had disappeared quickly, replace with a complicated expression that seemed to be in deep thoughts.

It was actually a funny sight to see his expression changes in a blink of an eye like that. But of course he didn't realize it.

Nate was quiet for a few minutes. He really wanted to win so badly this time. Kenath was probably the only one who really knows how good Daniel's skill in gaming is. Yet, he still didn't want to lose. He thought for a few seconds before looking at Daniel very seriously. "I proposed a one day peace of treaty!" He said in a serious tone, which make it even funnier to see. Tilting his head slightly, he once again change his expression into a pleading one. "Please? At least teach me the basic foe the first day, ok? I tried to read Satisfy's wikipedia but didn't get anything out of it." Now, his tone was pitiful. He remembered the completed words of the wikipedia and felt annoyed by it. Why can't they make it much easier for someone like to understand it? Isn't this a form of discrimination? He thought to himself while sulking.

Looking downward upon Nate with his now revealed eyes of a sea foam green. He almost saw the perplexity in Nates eyes at his actions. Of course Daniel saw what he perceives to be cute with Nate’s mannerisms, but he never commented on such anymore, he knew how much he hated being spoken to like that. So, he kept his tongue. He could always tease him with it later if he wanted to poke fun at him.

Nate’s suspicions had been quite right, Daniel was excited, and looked ever more as Nate nodded his head in quick succession. Though his smile turnt slightly devious and merely a step away from being sinister as Kenath proclaimed his early victory, he meant this all in a playful way of course, an attempt to psych Nate out a little. Slightly Daniel leaned on his hip causing the other to stick out in a girlish fashion. He looked fairly feminine anyway, it was of no concern to him to prove his masculinity, such a thing as silly as that only served to block your path in one way or another. “Hmmm, perhaps. But, don’t count your chickens before your eggs have hatched. Fate likes to laugh at those who make plans.” His words were emblazon with the fire of competition.

Daniel certainly noticed Nate’s sudden change in demeanor and couldn’t help but subsequently wonder why? He would’ve assumed that Nate would’ve been riding this ‘high’ for days, if not weeks. It was odd to see him do such a thing. “Is something the matter Nate?” It didn’t take a rocket scientist or a psychic to deduce that something had changed in his thought process.

Daniel really hadn’t had taken much thought into a class, it wasn’t like none of them appealed to him. Much to the contrary, they all seemed to fit into so many different play style with complex strategies of their own. All of which Daniel eventually wanted to explore at some point or another. Hacking his foes to pieces, striking from the shadows with a dagger or bow, and obliterating whatever stood in his path with spells were all tempting to him in one way or another.

Much to the contrary of Nate, Daniel looked forward to learning the inner complexities of Satisfy, even if it meant reading. He surely wouldn’t mind that, especially knowing the reward that he could get from such a small action. Daniel laughed under his breath to remain polite at Kenath’s reaction.

“I suppose a day of peace should do us well to get a hold onto the game. Thrusting ourselves into combat like that couldn’t possibly be a good idea. I propose an exchange then, you want a day of peace and I want knowledge. At the end of the day, whatever it is that you learn that I haven’t already you have to teach to me, and of course I’ll teach you how to fight.” He extended his hand out to be shaken. “Deal?” He took a time of seriousness as well. He would attempt to gain an advantage before their little adventure had even begun.

Nate suddenly thought of Daniel's words just now. Maybe he has counted his chickens before his eggs have hatched. No matter how you look at it, Nate was the one who's at a disadvantage right now. Years of knowing Daniel made him sure that he must've done his research. He might even have plans ready in his mind, just waiting to be executed. These made Nate slightly depressed, something that rarely ever happened to him.

Nate suddenly heard Daniel's faint laughs. Regardless of Daniel's effort to make it seemed polite, he still heard him loud and clear and knew what that laughs means. Nate furiously glared at Daniel. Can't he see he is depressed right now? He just never did something like this before, alright? In the first place, his style of doing things is as simple as his mind. Charge forwards, never give up, and faces everything as they come. This simple style is what makes him prevailed most of the time, making him no different than cockroaches when faced with dangers. It's just because he desperately wanted to win this time that made him changes his style.

In the first place, Nate never used any techniques or strategies when he fights. Even if he wants to, he didn't have the brain capability to do so. These made him realize that changing his styles might not be the best thing to do, which lead him to his depression. Who knew learning techniques and strategies in games would be that frustrating? Nate thoughts to himself.

Nate nervously waits for Daniel's answer. He was afraid that Daniel would decline his proposal. But when he finally got Daniel's reply, he felt somewhat suspicious. Nate might be dense. But years of experience in competing against him left a deep lesson in his mind. That is, in their rivalry,  Daniel might not be as sincere as he usually is. He didn't want to fall into one of his traps. Nate leaned closer towards Daniel's face, trying to find any hidden attention behind his firm facade. After he intently stared at Daniel's face, which was just a slight distance away from his own, for a full minute, he slowly retracted his head. With a really straight face, which didn't fit his seeping childish demeanor, he finally grabbed Daniel's extended hands. "Deal." He said seriously. But this serious expression disappeared within a blink of an eye, replaced by a playful smile. He laughed vigorously.  "Don't go back on your words, ok? I just doubt that any of my info will be useful later."

“Don’t worry Nate, I wouldn’t dare go back on that. I’m sure you’ll figure out something that I didn’t” He spoke with seriousness as well, his lasts words took a reassuring tone as his face shifted back to a smiling demeanor that glared hard from his eyes. It was obvious that he had a well of happiness that was completely full within him. Little did he know the hell that he was about to voluntarily throw himself into, happily and eager at that.

Daniel all along had secretly planned to at least aide Nate regardless of what deal they would’ve come to, he simply couldn't allow his best friend to flop aimlessly like a fish out of water. Attempt to teach him some basic strategy such as reactions. Small stuff he knew he knew he would be able to handle. By no means was Nate of low intelligence to Daniel, such an arbitrary thing IQ tests were in his mind. They didn't test all nine different types of intelligence anyway. In Nates case Daniel saw that it was like grading a goldfish on how well it could climb a tree. Daniel was fully aware that he would be considered of below average intelligence in the types of intelligence Nate held. It's just how things were, his mind was far too strategically based to be inclined towards physical labors. Regardless although without evidence he assumed Nate had a high naturalist intelligence. Oftentimes it came with the bodily-kinesthetic intelligence that Nate had.

Daniel looked around and spoke once again. ”So then, we’ve spoken long enough, should we get to work on the login pods?” Daniel spoke before briefly sneezing into his sleeve, rendering his hair once more over his eyes and into the feminine look it normally held. He motioned for Nate to follow with the nodding of his head in the general direction of the login pods. ”Should we set them up in your place or mine?” Daniel said, his tone falling back to a normal lilt of content eagerness . He was ready to get this show on the road.

When Nate heard Daniel's serious tone as he answered his question, Nate felt a bit guilty. Even more so when he saw the reassuring look on Daniel's face. Nate suddenly remembered all information he had read on various webs. Although he remembered all of it like it was printed into his head, he didn't understand most of it. He didn't know if this will be useful for Daniel later on or not. If even his best friend was willing to agree on his request, wouldn't it evil for him to not be able to do the same as him? Thus, Nate silently clenched his hand. I should browse more info before we began playing! He resolutely said in his mind with a determined expression.

Nate heard Daniel's first question and nodded his head to answer it. "I can't wait to start playing! They say it feels like you got transported into another world when you first logged into the game!" He added elatedly. The image of a completely different world than earth with new adventure in every corner of it makes Nate can't help be smile widely. If only he knew what kind of 'happy' adventure waiting for him there...

When he heard Daniel's second question, Nate paused for a moment before answering. The image of his room, which looks like it has been hit by a rampaging tornado, came to his mind. Uh... Although Daniel might be used to it ages ago, he still didn't want him to see all that mess laying in his room. "Let's just set it up in your house." Nate quickly said, somewhat embarrassedly, as he followed Daniel to walk to the direction of their house.

”Thats interesting, sort like a lucid dream.” He said in response to Kenath’s statement about being in another world. Truth be told he could see himself getting lost in such a reality. He saw a larger picture of the technology being used. This was only a step away from granting humans immortality. If one were to be placed on life support indefinitely while in a login pod you wouldn’t require the faculties since they would be virtual and your reality would be only on a different plane. You could quite literally live forever in the virtual world. He thought it was a shame that this technology was being used for video games when the philosophers stone was right in front of them. He still would enjoy it regardless though, the skill of planning ahead would come in useful later. But, he didn't know this.

Daniel proceeded to give a confirming nod to Nate. ”To my house, it is then.” he said with a certain gusto as he began his own funeral march toward his house, flicking his hand at the leaves of the black maple tree that rested in his front yard, swaying ever so delicately as a small breeze blew by, catching his face. Upon reaching the door he opened it and beckoned Nate into his house. It was pretty average overall. A bit cleaner than most, though that was just how his parents were. They weren't quite home yet, an empty driveway proved that at a moment's notice. They simply weren't home yet, and they certainly wouldn’t mind Nate being in the house. He might as well be Daniel’s brother at this point. Daniel would lift up the box containing the login pod with a decent struggle and set it down in the center of the living room floor. Swathes of white carpet lay across the floor, and several futons and a couch sat at the corners, a tv hung from the wall. The only real thing of interest is several paintings on the wall. One most noticeably was that of a Phoenix, in the style of Picasso’s staryy night. Daniel had done it recently and liked the way it looked, so he put it up. Simple as that.

Nate followed Daniel inside the house without any hesitation. He has been there for countless times already that it wouldn't be odd to say that this could be his second house. Everything inside it was the same as how he remembered it last time.

Nate helped Daniel by carrying the box to the living room. It was bigger than his body by some margin, making it a funny sight to see. However, he didn't struggle that much when he lifted it off the ground and put it down on the carpet. These proved that he is stronger than he looks. He took a quick glance around the room and noticed the Pheonix painting hanging on the wall. It was not there the last time he visited. But he had seen it while Daniel was still working on it before. Since it has been hung there now, it means that he finally finished it.

Nate looked at it admiringly. "You finish this so quickly. It was only halfway done when I came here yesterday." Said Nate with a tone full of surprise. As expected of my best friend. He thought, somewhat proudly.

Nate then saw that Daniel was setting up the login and was about to help him out when he realized he would only be a hassle if he did. Knowing well that he would do more harm than good, he chose to go to the kitchen to grab a drink for both of them. After serving an ice chocolate drink for himself and put Daniel's favorite drink next to him, Nate flopped his body into the sofa.

He opened his phone to search for more info about Satisfy so he can provide Daniel with more info later in the game. A man shouldn't go back from his word. Just like before, he didn't understand any of it. So he just skimmed through it casually as he memorized everything from the website. When he finished 'reading' the third website he had opened, he just realized that he was still a bit sweaty. His drenched uniform has dried up a little. But he stinks. "Um, Daniel. Can I use your shower?" He asked as he stood up in front of Daniel while showing his pitiful look. He actually forgot about his current appearance because of his excitement.

As Daniel heaved the box up he immediately noticed Nates help. ”Thanks Nate.” he said grunting at its weight before it was placed down in the center of his living room. He noticed Nate scamper off to the kitchen in his peripheral vision. But, he didn't think much of it. This was as much his house as Daniel’s. Proceeding to open his backpack he removed a set of scissors, extending them so only one end protruded and he proceeded to slash open the tape on the box, removing the equipment for the login pod.

As Nate returned with Daniel’s tea and his chocolate drink he would see Daniel fiddling around with electronics, assembling the login pods with the aid of an instruction manual that laid open and adjacent to him. It was a strange machine and his intrigue with the application of such technology could go much farther than gaming. ”Thanks again. You know, this thing right in front of us is the philosophers stone, and yet here we are, using it for a game. Baby steps I suppose.” He had a tone of curiosity about him as he worked. Daniel more needed to just say that than anything else. He took a sip of his tea hearing what Nate had said about his painting. ”Oh yeah, I finished it up last night. I couldn't  sleep well so I figured it would help slow my mind down a little bit. It's not my finest work. But, it's at least something.” He had a happy tone about him, as didn't get praised often so he enjoyed it.

Working for several other minutes he looked over to Nate. ”Getting some last-minute cramming in?” He said smiling as he tightened several screws, the only things left of the machine was inserting a clip that would plug into the wall and then connecting the device to the internet. To him it looked more like a chair then a pod. Creative liberties he supposed while he plugged the device into the wall as it whirred to life with the mechanical hum of fans. Slapping his hands together in a way that signaled he was finished he let out a sigh of relaxation. ”Well, there we are, it's done.”  Daniel looked back at it, so this was a login pod.  He normally would've wanted to know more about the technology before he used it but he hadn't even considered learning about the device itself as he was too focused on their little competition.

"Philosopher stone for gaming? Baby steps?" Nate said in a somewhat confused manner. There he goes again, him and his complicated words. Nate thought as he pouted in annoyance. But he didn't say anything to retorted it. "Well, I don't know about that. But if this game is really going to be our second life, wouldn't that mean our life will be in the hands of other humans? If hackers infiltrated the system, we could be as good as dead." Nate threw that sentence out casually then laughed. He just said the random things popped out in his mind without thinking too deeply about it. If only he knew his passing comments were taken seriously by the god...

Without waiting for Daniel's permission, he scurried off into the bathroom to do his quickest shower ever. In less than one and a half minutes, he has finished cleaning himself up. He had worn an oversized white shirt and orange shorts with droplets of waters still dripping down his wet hair. Since he was in a hurry, the shirt wasn't positioned correctly, revealing his collar bones. Nate walked out of the bathroom while staring intently at his phone, still trying to 'print' any information he could get into his mind. That was when noticed Daniel almost finished setting up the login pods. He heard Daniel's comment on his action and instantly gave him a half-smile. "You can't afford to go to a battle without a weapon, right?" He said slyly.

Of course, it was just an act. Nate didn't understand a single word written on the websites. But, hey, at least he remembered every single letter of it like the back of his palm. All this information is for Daniel to decipher later on. Nate will recite all the info printed in his mind and Daniel will do the translation for him. Moreover, he said he would also teach Nate the basics for the game. A win-win situation.

Nate smirked at his own words, trying to make it seem like he did the research to beat Daniel. A flame of competition lit up in his eyes along with the boundless confidence. But it suddenly wavered a bit when he thought about his last sentence again. Is that how you use that sentence? He suddenly turned perplexed.

It seems that Nate's intelligence can only be maintained for a tiny bit of time. Just a tiny bit.

When he saw that Daniel finally finished, Nate can't hold back his excitement anymore. "Thanks, Daniel. I'm going first!" Nate shouted elatedly as he hopped inside the login pods without even waiting for Daniel's answer. Let's just say he took a head start. He sealed off the pod by closing the lit. It was dark for a split second before the light automatically turned on inside the pod. He put on the helmet and relaxed his entire body. In that instance, Nate can feel his consciousness being pulled into the darkness, and the next thing he knew, he was already in some kind of space with huge hologram-like screens in front of him.

It took him a few seconds before he realized this was the login space where players filled out their information, username, and make their game character. Nate smiled brightly. Time to work of his magic!

“The philosophers stone is a bit of a myth, but more of a symbol. It represents human immortality. As for hackers, it’s simply a risk we just have to weigh on ourselves. I’d rather be in the hands of my fellow man than dead.” He shrugged, he didn’t know what lied beyond the grave. This was his biggest fear, not eternal torment. But, simply ceasing to exist. He would rather endure the most horrific torture at the hands of demons and still be conscious then be purely nothing, rendered in an eternal dreamless sleep.

Daniel almost marveled at how quickly Nate had cleaned himself. How does that even work. Certainly he didn’t use soap, how could you go that fast and cover everything? In this way he perplexed Daniel. “Arm yourself well then, you’re gonna need it.” Daniel openly challenged Nate, he was trying to come across as confident. Though he doubted Nate had any strategy up his sleeve he knew it was bad to underestimate his opponent. Nate was a squirrelly one, and he knew that. You never quite knew what he had up his sleeve.

As Nate made his mad dash to the login pod Daniel didn’t even bother trying to stop him. He knew it was pointless. So, he bid him well with a smile and nod, waving at him as the login pod closed. Daniel then proceeded to go out and pick up the second box from Nate’s porch, bringing it adjacent to the other pod before setting it up in record time. The instructions had just stuck in his head, and it’s always just easier the second time around. The real issue was finding another outlet, as the plug was too big to fit a second into the wall. He ended up having to slide the pod to the right end of the room for it to reach another outlet. He then climbed inside of the machine activating it, it’s door closing down over him.

The feeling of his consciousness being removed was perplexing to him, like his soul was quite literally being sucked out of his body. But, just as soon as it began it ended and he found himself in the same room as Nate. Through a shared internet connection the login Pod’s assumed they wanted to go in together, and so it was. Daniel existed as pure consciousness for a few seconds before materializing his body by will alone, next to Nate. ‘This isn’t like a dream at all, this is much to real to equate it to that.’ He thought and spent a second staring at his hand. ‘Just data’ he thought again before pinching his neck to make sure he was still alive. Yep, definitely alive. He began putting down his information. “Hey Nate, what races are there, or can we just be humans?” He spoke as he entered his information. He wasn’t sure if this was the only chance at an avatar, so he wanted to make sure he designed it right the first time. His username was simple “Dagon”, the name of a Babylonian god of the deep. It was a bit edgy, but Daniel likes how it came off the tongue.

Nate finished inputting his information quicker than words can say. Let's just say that he was simply too excited at that time, causing his movements to become two times faster than usual. His username was simple, but bold: Prince Ken. It might be really cringy, childish, or even arrogant to some. But in actuality, he used this username with a pure and innocent reason. How so? Because in his mind, princes are always charming, smart, strong, and, most importantly, manly. The perfect image he wished he would be in the future, not a cute and pretty little 'boy' like his current image. So, wouldn't a prince fit his game name perfectly? A simple reason for a simple person like Kenath Valez.

Nate clicked the submit button without any second thoughts. That was when he suddenly heard someone speaking right next to him, making him jumped in surprise. "Daniel, you scared me! When did you get here?!" Asked Nate with a stunned expression. He was too immersed in putting his information just now. So, he didn't realize Daniel has arrived next to him for quite some time. Moreover, he didn't think Daniel will be in the same login space as him. He tried to think of the reason why but ended up stopping midways. Whatever. Isn't it good that he is no longer alone here? It has to be said that Nate rarely being left alone.

Unlike Daniel, Nate hates the feeling of not having someone to talk to. He was constantly surrounded by people whenever he went. What's more, he always has Daniel by his side. So even if those people were not around, Daniel would still be there. He was not used to being alone. He can't stand it. So even if he was surprised that Daniel was sent to the same login space as him, he was happy.

Maybe it was also due to this reason that his brain decided to start working harder than usual. Nate smiled radiantly as he answered Daniel's question with ease. "Well, in the beginning, we can only choose humans as our race. But later in the game, we can change our race through completing certain missions. There were players who managed to become a half-god, elf, beastman, or evil entities like a vampire, werewolf, and demon. Changing race will change our basic stats or add points to the already existing stats."
The information printed in his head proved its usefulness at that moment. He not only perfectly recite the same exact words he read from the website but also understand it a little. Nate didn't stop there. He continued his explanation as he started to customize his game character's appearance. "At the start, players will have four basic stats, Strength, Agility, Intelligence, and Stamina. Players can open new stats like Insight, Luck, Charm, Endurance, etc, by finishing special quests, gaining basic or hidden classes, and/or changing their race."

While he blurted out all the raw information he had gathered, Nate materialized his game character by imagining its appearance. He fixed some places that didn't look too good to him manually before finally nodding his head in satisfaction. His game character is done. Nate was too immerse in making his game character that he didn't realize the way he talk just now was a bit different than usual. In fact, he appeared to be more intelligent, something that's a very rare sight to see. Even rarer than seeing his always smiling face depressed. Though he was just reading the words printed in his head aloud to Daniel, not really understand it himself.
